I do not think the moon should be a concern until much later in the IC. We have barely explored our earth nations as it is.
I'll think about it, also, congratulations on being the 800th 00C post.

Im still awaiting our discussion of colonizing the moons of Jupiter
A different note, nukes.
What would be the current stance on nuclear weapons?
They were used in WW3 and many nations have stockpiles even now.
Are nuclear weapons allowed but refrained from as it prompts the other nation to similarly use nukes?
Or is there an international law preventing nukes?
I'm just wondering.
Personally I think the latter would be counterintuitive.
Though I say this because I have tactical nuclear artillery shells and even tank shells (mind it, the two are effectively the same diameter).
Antimatter-induced "clean" fusion nukes could be also the way for future nukes. Greater or more compact power without the fallout or other drawbacks.

Which would either end the RP or we would play in a super cool Fallout style nation roleplay

That shit is literally fifteen years away at most--give or take five years. A third world war devoid of nuclear exchange would have facilitated an unprecedented degree of technological development.
A lot of traditional science fiction technologies simply aren't science fiction anymore by 2050 due to Kurzweil's Law of Accelerating Returns: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Accelerating_change#Kurzweil.27s_The_Law_of_Accelerating_Returns
Also, weren't some countries freed up due to a number of players dropping out? Still waiting for the owner of Nigeria to quit and/or lose interest, but I might draft something playable in the mean time.
@ASTA There's a map on page 39. All the grey nations are unoccupied.
A few notes, though:
Britain mentioned that they wanted to take control of Canada, so that might be considered taken already.
Iran, while not technically apart of any player's nation, was invaded by South Asian forces. It's also been heavily influenced by the Caliphate, it's neighbor. So those would be things to keep in mind if you wanted to sign up as Iran.
The Caliphate is looking to add Saudi Arabia into it's fold, so that's probably out too.
I've already signed up for Spain so don't you dare take that away from me.
I think that might be it. But, yeah. The southern nations of Africa are mostly open, Norway is open, some countries to the east of India are open, and Brazil and its neighbors are open.
I think I'll leave Canada (sans Newfoundland) in a similar position to where Australia and New Zealand were a few years before their annexation into formal U.K. sovereignty. Canada's trade relationship is focused towards Great Britain, a great many legal and cultural institutions are shared by the two, Canada had perhaps adopted the pound as its formal currency (or tied the Canadian dollar to the pound in value), but the country is still de jure sovereign.

Somehow, I think Fascist Canadian Revolution shall happen.

As a Canadian, Canadian Fascism seems a little far-fetched.
<Snipped quote by The Nexerus>
So does 2 out of the 3 US successor states being Fascist, but that happened.
Edit: Happy Late Canada day

No Norway is taken I believe, Finland is not.

Speak for yourself. I'm already preparing to leave for Proxima Centauri.
