Youtube comments are cesspools just like Reddit and 4chan. Better to simply ignore them than to feed to the fire.
Eh, it's more about futile but self satisfying attempts to spread the joys of basic logic and common sense unto people who seem to willfully spit on the most basic elements of intelligence... Also, with the sheer intensity of borderline if not full blown violent psychosis that some of these people show in text, even if it's all tricking my mind, it feels nice to make them more 'obvious' so more people know about them, they seem legitimately dangerous most of the time.
You're right though, they 'are' festering pits of stupid.
