Well, let me start saying that I am a male, and thus I get most of the attention this band gets is from female groups. Now...I just tried to see what this band was like, and the first song to come up in my search was "I ♥ Hello Kitty" and...is that even music? Wow. That...cannot be. I'm not giving any bad response towards my first encounter with this group. What's with the fanbase being so violent towards those who don't like BotDF? And what's with Dahvie (if that's his name) being called a pedophile? What's RPG opinion towards this band? I personally don't like it because I don't find it interesting at all, and their music isn't appealing at all. I don't...even find it remotely close to being music. I'm not trying to flame, though...

The fanbase is so violent toward haters because they're a bunch of hormonal teenage girls or those of an equivalent mental maturity. They respond violently to a lot of things they don't like.

The lead singer dude is called a pedophile because of numerous accusations of him engaging in sexual activity with minors. Also a couple accusations of rape.

My opinion is that they produce the musical equivalent of vomit and the people who make up the band are awful. One of just many incidents of them being awful includes one of the dudes on Twitter making rape jokes after the whole rape accusation thing. They're garbage, both musically and as people.

Well, thanks! I didn't want to offend anyone, but that really seems like the most coherent thing I've heard. And you just seem to say with such a confidence as to not care of hurting other's feelings...I mean, it really irks me that you can't give BotDF fans your opinion because they'll death-threat you.

My exact feelings. Once listened to their song "candyland' YEARS ago *shudder*. Also, Lovers of jefree star, simular to BODTF, Also give death threats.

Once spoke out against Jefree Star back in high school.

Every "scene" girl, gay guy and otherwise proceeded to shout "Homophobe!", "Bigot" and other expletives I didn't quite care about as I smiled back at them. I wonder why I didn't make a whole lotta friends in high school except the dickish stoners kids

Wasn't necessarily homophobic remarks either, just simply stated his music failed at achieving the definition of music and that his public character was rather deranged and extensively attention-seeking and whoreish.

I think probably one of the most motivational things I ever heard was "If sometimes you feel like utter shit, just remember that Blood On The Dancefloor had to cancel their Australian Tour because they only sold 6 tickets."

I've listened to a few of their songs accidentally after I friend and I did a music trade back in 2011.
It was awful, I hated myself afterwards, and I'm fairly certain if I had managed to vomit afterwards, it would have come out as a sentient blob with coon-tails and striped arm-warmers.
