When being asked about money, Autry shook her head with a small smile and looked at the princess, holding her hand in front of her and waving them as well. "No money is needed for this one. All I ask is that if you take good care of it and send more people my way if they like the dress." The old woman saw it as a simple request, and although he didn't speak, Samsul saw that it was a smooth way to advertise the dress. "Being a new princess, I'm sure that you have duties to attend to, so I shouldn't be keeping you." She waved the two off politely and got back to working on another dress.

If Anastasia's eyes could grow any wider they did as she looked between the woman and the dress she was giving to her for free, "Of course, I will tell people... but surely, I owe you something."

However, the woman was insistent that her only payment be through the word of mouth. Finally, Anastasia gave in and thanked the woman. She gave her a small curtsy and turned away from her. She nodded to Samsul and walked out the door. She carefully folded the dress to ensure that it didn't ruin the dress at all. She walked over to Gale and tucked it into the saddle bag. When it was safely tucked away, she untied her horse from his spot and pulled him away from the wall. She tossed the reins over his head and moved to the horse's side. She smiled at Samsul, "Are you going to run off on me to get out of sitting in on my lessons?" She teased.

Samsul could tell from her tone of voice that she was only teasing him, and a small smile appeared on his face as he closed the door behind the two. He thought it was a little funny how Autry simply ignored Anastasia as she attempted to stall from going to her lessons, but it seemed that the woman was as smart as ever, and noticed it as well. His eyes moved to Salmnir, the horse was in the same place that it was in before, seeming not to have moved even an inch. The horse was obedient to say that least, and even seemed to understand Samsul, despite being a horse. The horse slowly moved towards it's rider, and Samsul hopped on, now looking at Anastasia.

"Maybe. I am trying to take more time to myself, though, like you wanted my to." His smile turned to a sly grin as he grabbed the reins and began to move.

Anastasia looked at him when he used her request to take time for himself to leave whilst she was in her lessons. She laughed and climbed onto her horse. Shaking her head, she smiled at him, "Well, what convenient timing for you."

She smirked at him before she gave Gale a small kick and started forward. She walked her horse slowly, instead of asking to race back to the castle. She sighed, "Gerald said that we would be focusing of party etiquette," she pursed her lips, "He seems to be trying to get through everything in as short a time as possible."

She looked at him as they rode, "So, what are you going to do with your free time?"

Smasul had taken notice that Anastasia didn't ask him for a race this time, and by then all of his suspicions about her stalling had seemed true. His smile faltered when she spoke about Gerald quickly going through the lessons in as short of a time as possible. He didn't say anything yet, and collected himself just before she asked him what he was planning on doing. He was actually joking a little when he said that he'd be leaving her again, and he didn't actually expect for her to believe that he wasn't. He may have been 'all work and no play' but he was making an effort for her sake.

"I'm not sure. I may watch your lesson since I missed the last one."

Anastasia laughed and shook her head lightly, "What a splendid way to spend your free time," She looked at him, "I'll be fine you know. No one is going to fly through a window and attack me because you take your eyes off me for a second. It didn't happen yesterday after all."

She smiled and looked ahead, "I know you were joking... but it would be the optimum time for you to have some free time. I won't be doing anything or going anywhere dangerous. Not to mention their are plenty of guards in the castle to watch me. It seems to me like that has been the only time you haven't been just in the other room when you are out of sight."

She stopped her horse as they came into the courtyard, "Besides, do you really want to watch as I curtsy like a lady?" she said in a joking tone and she curtsied deeply and dramatically. She giggled and handed her horse to Benjamin, who found his way out of the barn. She thanked him before she turned back to Samsul and started to walk up the steps and into the palace, "I'll be fine, promise."

Samsul knew that an assassin wouldn't waltz in if he wasn't keeping Anastasia on constant watch, but he was still worried since if something did happen to her, then GreenSpring would have nobody to look up to, and the kingdom would fall soon after her death. He had a reason to be worried about her, even if he couldn't tell her. He was also unsure about how the others of his kinds would react to his job. He hadn't seen to many of his relatives around lately, mainly because his day was occupied with guarding the princess.

Reaching the courtyard, Samsul stopped Salmnir and looked around, seeing that Benjamin had made his way over here. Samsul greeted the man casually and gave him the reins to his horse after hopping off, watching as the man left with both horses. He smiled a little when Anastasia did an over-dramatic curtsy. He nodded when she promised that she'd be fine, and walked up the steps next to her. "I'm sure that you will, but I should still escort you to Gerald so he can take over." He said as he opened the door, holding it open for the princess.

Anastasia looked at him as he said he was to escort her to Gerald before he went off to have free time. She pursed her lips, "What is this more about? Making sure I'm always under someone's eye... Or making sure that I end up going to my lesson?"

She laughed a little and walked into the castle. She held her hands behind her back as she walked. She looked over the painting and items in the hall. Once more she stopped at the painting of her mother and father. She stared at it for sometime before she smiled, "I seem to have come from quite the wonderful couple."

That was all she said before she turned and continued down the hall. At the end of it was the room that Gerald intended to teach her in. She placed her hand on the doorknob and looked at Samsul, she smirked, "I'm here, in one piece. Does this please you?" She teased before curtsying, "Thank you for taking me into town, yet again. Have fun in your free time," she said as she opened the door and walked in.

"It is a bit of both, to be perfectly honest." Samsul spoke with a small smile when asked about his intentions of escorting her. He followed her down the hall and stopped when she did at the portrait of her mother and father. He was okay with stopping there, since she had never even met her father, and this was one of the few remaining paintings of the two together that were still hung up. Many of the others had been taken down since Elana found them too painful to look at.

He continued to follow the princess down the hall without words and smiled back at her when she smirked. "It does." He said with joy in his voice. He nodded once more and ordered one of the guards to watch after her. He didn't know what he'd be doing in his free time, maybe talk to Elana to give a report, maybe talk to some of the others. He didn't quite know yet.

Anastasia shook her head lightly when he replied. She then looked at the guard that he had chose to watch her before she closed the door. She walked over to Gerald and curtsied to him. He clapped, "Wonderful, wonderful, not too deep, not too shallow. You will be a Princess yet, Princess."

She smiled and sat at the table he had set up for her. It seemed to have enough silverware for an entire family but it all sat in front of her. Gerald went through the task of telling her what each one did and when they were used, how to distinguish them from the others and so on. It was quite the task to remain focused and present at the table. It was just sooo boring. She would have prefered to be on Gale and racing with Samsul. She smiled softly, it seemed even in her daydreams, she couldn't be free to be alone. She sighed and focused back to the task at hand, all be it boring.
~~~~
She stood from her chair after her lesson and stretched. Gerald smiled, "Very good, Princess. I will see you tomorrow for more learning. Finish off those books I gave you, would you."
She nodded and left the room, the knight following her. She sighed again and walked down the halls aimlessly, not sure what to do.
Leaving Anastasia's side after seeing the other guard with her, Samsul walked down the hall, wanting to speak to Elana about a few things before he would go on to his own activities. He quickly walked down the halls to Elana's office and opened the door slowly, looking inside as more came into view. The Queen looked up from a few papers and laid eyes on Samsul, seeing the look on his face told her that he still had some things on his mind. "Hello Samsul. How is she doing? I trust her lessons are going well?" She asked, waiting for him to shut the door. He did as she predicted and sighed, looking at him with a sad smile.
Samsul looked at her and informed her of the dress and how her lessons seemed to be going, also how the young princess asked him to take more time to himself. Elana laughed at this and agreed with her daughter, which resulted in a sigh from the Lost Elf. "I assume that the preparations are almost ready, my Queen?" He asked her. She nodded to him with another sad smile. "Yes, and when I leave, I plan on making Gerald not only her tutor, but her steward as well. Unfortunately Samsul, I have things to do, and as much as I would like to postpone them, it isn't an option. I hope to see you in the near future." Samsul nodded at her and left the room, now heading for the Wing that housed the Lost Elves.
Making his way to the armory, he couldn't find anything to occupy his time until Anastasia's lessons were finished. As he entered the weapon filled room, a few others had been working on either their weapons or lightly sparring with each other. When he came in, all of them turned their heads to him, many of them smiling. "It's good to see you, Samsul. I trust that you didn't bore the Princess to death yet?" One of them spoke up, quickly ending the spar with her partner with a quick disarming. He had been used to the joking, and everyone was well aware that he didn't take any time to his own endeavors. He nodded and looked back at the elven woman. "If I had, there would have been a funeral, and I would have been banished from the clan. But, Princess Anastasia has the same beliefs as all of you, and made it an order for me to take more personal time. If you would like to make jokes about work, Kala, then I feel that it is my duty to bring up the amount of breaks you take in a day." The woman gritted her teeth, because she knew what was coming next. "I may work a little too hard, but you do not work enough. You have skill, but you hardly ever use it." She may not had expected the last part, but she still lunged at Samsul with her weapon in hand. After a quick sparring session, Kala grew weak and was beaten by Samsul. he didn't speak to her, and simply talk to some of the others, losing track of time.
Anastasia walked through the halls not sure what to do. She didn't have a clue where Samsul was and she didn't want to interrupt him having time to himself, knowing he probably rarely had it. She glanced at the Elf that followed her. He wasn't as fun as Samsul. Samsul bugged and joked with her and didn't really treat her like a Princess in someways. This man seemed almost a little scared to act remotely close to the same fashion as Samsul did. She sighed and kept walking.
It was a shame that her lessons started and finished earlier. Had they started later then maybe it would be close to dinner time and she could eat while she waited for Samsul to return but then he might not even get a chance to eat. After she walked for what seemed like hours and she had seen every hall the castle had to offer and her feet grew tired, she looked at the guard who walked them with her, "Where do you think Samsul would go in his free time?"
He looked a little stunned and Anastasia was curious if it was because he had not expected the question or the fact that Samsul was taking free time. He shrugged, "I don't know, your highness. Some of the Lost Elves like to take their breaks in the armoury."
Anastasia nodded, "Do you think you could take me there?"
The man gave her a nod and she followed him to the armoury. When they reached it and he opened the door, she leaned out behind the door frame to look in. She didn't want to pull Samsul away from his relaxing but she was curious as to what he was doing.
just after the little fight, one of the others, and older elf, spoke. up. "Samsul, you're horrible at jokes." He said bluntly. Samsul nodded and continued his talking. Many of the conversations were about the princess, since he was the closest one to her, he would know her the best. What he did know about her, he told them, and spoke very highly of her. Some of them asked what it felt like to lead the remains of the race, and although he wasn't the head just yet, he did feel like it. He tried to explain it to the best of his abilities, but he wasn't known for having a way with words, so it didn't come out like he wanted to.
When the door opened, only Kala had noticed that the princess was looking in, and the elven woman nudged Samsul's shoulder to get his attention before pointing at the door. "Anastasia is here. It looks like we kept you too long from you duties." She was surprisingly calm about it, and didn't make a joke about how he constantly worked. Samsul nodded and looked over at her. Although he was going to speak, Kala looked at Anastasia as well and smiled. "We tried to loosen him up for you, but it seems he'll only take a break if ordered to, and since he's the head, we can't do that. It's nice to meet you, princess." She bowed lightly and gave Samsul a 'light' push towards Anastasia.
Anastasia looked at the woman when she spoke to her and laughed lightly when she said they tried to loosen him up a little. She smiled at him then the woman, "I'll be sure to make sure he does so more."
She gave her a small curtsy then looked to Samsul as he was somewhat pushed toward her. She held her hands tightly in front of her, "Oh you don't have to leave yet, if you don't want too. I don't mind it..." she smirked slightly, "I was just getting bored and wanted to see what you were doing," she shrugged, "You make sure I go to my lesson. I make sure you take a break," she laughed a little, "I'm fine with walking around with..." Her eyes widened when she realized she didn't know the man's names. She looked at him, looked a little guilty, "I don't think I ever asked you your name..."
He smiled at him and bowed, "Amul, your highness."
She made a small face when he called her highness before she turned and looked at Samsul, "Amul and I are fine... Don't let me drag you away... I was just a little curious..."
Samsul shook his head and looked at Amul calmly for a brief moment before looking back at Anastasia. "It's nothing to worry about. I took a small break, and I'm fine now. " Kala smirked a little and looked at the princess. "I think it would be best to just let him relieve Amul of duty. I'm pretty sure Samsul's been going crazy without having some sort of work to do." She laughed a little and looked at Amul, giving him a dismissive wave as she stopped. Samsul didn't even look at the elven woman, but shot small amounts of killer intent her way. It didn't scare the woman though, and her smirk remained.
Anastasia looked between the two elves, both of whom towered over her. She nodded at the woman, "He is quite dedicated," she looked at Samsul and smiled, "Leaders always have to work a little more."
She then looked to the woman and smiled, "It was a pleasure to meet you..." Amul walked passed her and into the armoury, whispering. Anastasia grinned, "Kala."
She looked around the armoury a little more, intrigued by what they were doing in it. They seemed to be talking when they noticed her but before a few of them were sparring. She glanced at Samsul, it would be interesting to see him fight someone. He seemed like he only ever spent his time bettering himself. She held her hands behind her back and looked up at Samsul, "Where shall we go?"
With the question of leaving, Samsul nodded his head. He knew all of them well, and Kala was a great friend of his, but occasioanlly they would annoy him a bit more than usual friends would, and he would chose to leave. Maybe it was because they were so close that gave them the right to pick at him and each other every once and a while He didn't really understand it, but if he had taken more time for himself in his younger years, he might have understood it. "Hmm." Samsul hummed and thought about it. He was just meant to follow her around, and didn't really know where to go. Dinner possibly, but he still wasn't all that sure. "We should see if Eric is available to cook for us." He looked back at Kala and smiled very faintly. "If you want to try again, you need only ask, Kala, but the result will be the same as every time before."
Anastasia allowed him to turn to Kala and speak to her before she spoke to him again, "Going to see Eric sounds like a good idea."
She stepped back slightly to allow him to exit the building. She felt bad, she felt as though she was dragging him away from something. If she had only stayed away, maybe Samsul would still be hanging out with his friends. She waved to those who still stood in the armoury as they closed the door. Once it was, she looked at Samsul, she blushed slightly, "Sorry, for dragging you away... I didn't mean too... I was just curious what you were doing..."
She started to walk with him toward the dining hall, "What were you talking about? To Kala? Trying again?"
As Anastasia moved away to allow him to leave the building, he nodded in thanks to her and stepped outside, not waiting for her to step out as well. When she did, he looked at her after she did to him and noticed the slight blush, but only barely. He shook his head after the apology and stayed in step with her. "It's nothing to worry about. I shouldn't have stayed so long." It was his fault for staying longer than he realized and in turn, causing her to roam the castle looking for him. He turned his head to her again when she questioned what he was talking about, and looked forwards once more. "Kala is competitive to say the very least, and on many occasions when we cross paths, she wants to test her skills against the only person she knows that spends so much time with a blade in his hands. She can match my skills most of the time, but every time she issues a challenge, she loses."
Anastasia looked at him as he explained what he had been talking about. She smiled slightly and laughed lightly, if she was a fighter, she too might wish to test her skills against Samsul. She looked ahead of them as they walked, "She has determination. It must be hard to continually lose and still wish to try again."
She giggled, "I'm sure she doesn't work as much as you though... Not that I'm sure anyone can."
They reached the dining hall and took her usual seat. She smiled again at Samsul, "I should ask my mother to join us one of these nights."
