Béatrix walked out of the alley and down the street a ways to where she parked her bike. Swinging one leg over the dark blue Kawasaki Ninja ZX14, Trixy pulled out the keys and revved the engine to life. The sleek crotch rocket purred beneath her as she put it in gear and tore out into the city streets, like a bat out of hell. If the streets weren’t so congested, she would certainly be maxing the speed limits of the bike, she settled for gracefully weaving in and out of traffic instead.

Eventually, Trixy got to where she was going - her apartment in east Manhattan. The place was a well-furnished, spacious loft located in a relatively high class area. Murdering wealthy supernaturals for a living had its perks, but Trixy was unliving proof that money couldn’t buy happiness. Once home, Trixy parked her bike in the garage and scampered up the steps to shower the day away. She couldn’t help but feel that she walked away from a piece of herself in that alleyway…

Trixy spent the afternoon getting ready for her outing. She had to call a very panicked Carl to tell him what happened that caused her to lose the perp, and to tell him that she was taking the rest of the day off. He knew better than to pry for more information about meeting her soul mate, recognizing the harshness of her tone. Trixy straightened her ebony angled bob so that it was sharp as a razor’s edge, the longest pieced just barely dusting her collarbone. The makeup she put on was dark and dramatic, only serving to make her eerily blue eyes and porcelain skin pop even more. Not all vampires had red eyes, but they were all easily identified by the unnatural brightness of their color, especially when they were using compulsion. For dress, Trixy wore a black and blue French inspired corset, a tight black mini skit, fishnets, and knee high boots.

The club she was headed to was a big goth hangout, an easy place for a vampire, or any supernatural, to blend in. Trixy took the subway there, getting more than a fair share of lingering stares from passengers. In the club, the music was thumping loud with bass. It was dark and the strobing lights only gave brief flashes to illuminate the faces of the patrons. With Trixy’s eyesight, however, she was easily able to scan the crowd for tonight’s potential meal. First things first, she parked herself in a stool at the bar, lighting up a cigarette and inhaling deeply. The spicy smoke filled her lungs and she exhaled slowly, a steady white stream passing through her barely parted lips, somehow making the habit seem sensual. The bartender caught sight of her and asked her what she wanted to drink.

“Whiskey, straight, the hardest kind you have.” She said. The tender raised his brow, probably assessing that she looked like a light-weight, little did he know that she could drink him under the table. Vampires couldn’t really get drunk from alcohol, but that didn’t stop them from trying to catch a buzz. The only way they could truly get wasted was by overindulging on a drunk human’s blood. The bartender brought her the drink and she started a tab on her card. Trixy continued taking drags off her cigarette and stared into her drink. Somehow, her mind swirled the brown color of the whiskey into the image of Bartholomew, it was so much like the color of his eyes, and his shaggy chin length hair… Béatrix shook the image out of her mind in frustration before downing the drink and placing the glass on the bar with a loud clink.

After standing up, Trixy headed into the crowd of dancing bodies, determined to clear her mind of her own thoughts. Amdist the sea of grinding bodies, Béatrix lifted her arms above her head and gave her body over to the beat. She opened her mind to let the thoughts of those around her flood in. In moments, she was drowning in the feelings of pleasure and lust of those around her. One person’s thoughts in particular caught her attention, she spun her body around until her eyes locked on the source of them. He was tattooed, tall, and staring right at her. Boldly, Trixy broke from the crowd and strutted towards him with one thought on her mind: dinner.

“Hey gorgeous, what brings you here?” he opened once she was close enough.

Trixy smiled in reply, turning on the vampire charm, “I met my soulmate today,” she said nonchalantly.

“Oh, well, where are they?” he asked, eye briefly scanning the surrounding area.

“Not here.” Her grin was wicked before she wrapped her arms over his shoulders and looked up into his eyes. “Dance with me?” she purred.

Tholo walked until he found the usual bar he went to drink. It was a relatively well known dive bar, mostly based around loud metal music. Being able to numb his senses was the only way he could feel human and that was what he intended to do. He took his usual place at the bar sitting on a stool and motioning the bartender over, who seemed to recognized him.

"Tholo, so usual today?" the bartender asked, Tholo responded with a shake of his head.

"No. Give me your strongest stuff Steve, I want to get as close as I can to knocking my ass out," he said. The bartender returned with a bottle and glass but Tholo grabbed the bottle and three money on the bar top."Keep the change." He bent his head back and poured the liquor down, burning his throat in sweet relief. He could get drunk but for a werewolf it took a lot more then a regular human. He probably over exaggerated what he wanted to the bartender, he wanted to be buzzed though and hopefully just try and forget the day but somehow he doubt that would happen.

"Hey Steve you got a cig and light?" he asked the bartender, knowing the guy smoked, he reeked of the stuff.

"Um yeah but you don't smoke?" Steve the bartender said. Tholo passed some more money to him ",It comes and goes." Tholo responded taking a cigarette and lighting it. It had been quite some time since he smoked, probably a century but today was just full of surprises. He tok a drag on the cigarette and blew the smoke out, the smell of smoke making his sense of smell numb with the sound of the place drowning out most of the other sounds of the world. He felt like shit, he felt human.

Victoria Nikitina

"Can you tell me what this says?"

A voice suddenly rung in dozing ears. Victoria was leaning against the door and part of her chair in a slump before she jolted with the voice and eyes quickly fluttered open. The bright coloring of her hues striking the man as he stood in front of her truck. He looked the same as when they'd briefly passed in the park. As he held up his wrist baring the Russian letters towards her she'd reach to hush the barking pup sitting beside her before opening the door and stepping out.

"Victoria Nikitina," she said in audible, yet noticeably hushed tones; her accent clinging to the words heavily as she continued on, "My name is, Victoria Nikitina. It is a pleasure to meet you Dyami," she'd thankfully memorized the name he'd spoken earlier after hearing it repeat in her head multiple times.

As she moved towards him around the bonnet of the ivory vehicle she'd extend her hand in offering of obviously a handshake. The startled pup still sitting in the front seat as she left her door wide open and managed to avoid having him jump out or take off.

"So, you work here?" she'd ask curiously with a quick glance to the large building she'd found herself in front of after almost getting lost.

"Oh and that is Kubik," she'd quickly finish her words off after the little husky barked a few times over at the stranger and herself. He was such an attention hog sometimes, puppies were too cute too resist though; everyone pat him when he begged for it and now he always begged for it no matter where he was. She eventually had to train it out of him, but for now she was too focused on the person in front of her.

Is he human? I can't tell these days, will he care about what I am? What if he thinks I'm a freak? she'd allow quiet thoughts to trail through her mind as she awaited any and every response he gave including every small movement. Being a shifted she had a tendency to pick up behaviors that signified so many underlying motives or emotions, after all she needed to be able to approach some dogs with the knowledge of their possible aggression or passive nature.

Solenne watched and read the sketchbook as the Siren held it out to him. Solenne nodded slowly, that was something he could understand. Having to hide an ‘ability’ like it was something to be afraid of. Something vampires knew all too well. Solenne watched as Mia attempted to coax the pair up with the offer of a free desert. Solenne smiled at Mia’s attempt to fulfil what he had intended to do but then shook his head, mouthing it’s ok to both her and the Siren. His hand resting on top of his guitar, he placed his chin on top. He bit his tongue gently trying to think of something else to do for the customers. Suddenly another voice interrupted his thoughts. The voice was coming from his side. Solenne shook his head and laughed “Honestly, I’ve not thought about parties and weddings” he reached into his pocket and produced a business card, slipping it into the mans hand “My name is Solenne Nocturne, this is my agents card...she’ll work something out if you want me to come play” he smiled before stepping off the stage. He gave the a small grin before smiling at the door as it opened. In stormed his agent, blonde hair astray and carrying another guitar and his amp “Hey, speak of the devil” Solenne smiled.

“I am not your roadie” She pouted and pressed the guitar into the vampire’s hands.

“You are when I’m in a good mood” Solenne retorted with a grin. The blonde simply frowned before she grinned and looked around the cafe “where is she!” Solenne pointed at Mia. The blonde immediately pounced, gushing and asking a million on one questions about Mia. SOlenne shook his head and grinned, swapping his guitars over. The acoustic changed out for a slick red Strat. Solenne plugged it into the amp, strumming out the opening to The Ramone’s Blitzkrieg Bop “awwright” he smiled and pulled the Siren’s partner up to the stage “This is for Mia and Blondie” Solenne laughed and began playing The Ramones “I Wanna Be Your Boyfriend” before looking at the other guy and winking “I hope you know the song buddy.”

The human agreed to take Trixy out onto the dance floor with a whole lot more than dancing on his mind. He thought he was going to get lucky tonight but, in reality, it would be Béatrix who ended the night sated, and he would be compelled to forget the entire thing. The music grew loud and angry, the violent beat surprisingly easy to dance to.

Their bodies were pressed tight against each other as they danced. Trixy was hyperaware of the way his blood radiated heat off of his skin and into her own cold flesh. With the scent of his desire in her nose, and the bloodlust closing in, she’d pretty much forgotten all about what’s-his-name; but that was tonight’s goal. Trixy spun so that she was now facing him instead of letting him grind behind her.

She looked up, her eyes now shimmering with compulsion, planting calming thoughts in his mind. Everything is awesome right now… you will feel no pain… only pleasure… Vampires could control how their bite felt to a human, be it torture, or the greatest kiss, but Béatrix sensed this guy’s motives - He was nice enough, and everything would go much more smoothly if he enjoyed it. With couples in all stage of dance, some practically having sex, a violent kiss on the neck would blend right in - especially with how freakish some of the patrons were, pretending to be vampires themselves.

Béatrix peppered him with kisses on the lips at first. He tilted his chin up, exposing his neck as he fell completely into her hypnotism. The fangs in her mouth descending, sharp and ready to feed. Just as Trixy poised her open lips inches above his carotid artery, her blue eyes caught sight of a painfully familiar face. He was looking right at her. A single thought ran through her mind:

Shit…

Tholo had just started to relax, to feel some of the effects of the liquor on him. He had turned around on his stool to look at the dance floor, judging perhaps if he wanted to try and get lucky that night and have himself a really good time. He eventually decided not to and was about to return to his drink when his eyes made contact with someone he had hoped he would of avoided by getting a drink. She was out on the dance floor, with another guy. At that moment all he could do was stare and be memorized by her movement. Of course when her eyes seemed to find his, was when that thought changed. He was aggravated seeing her again so suddenly but while he stared at her his mind thought about the guy with her and he could feel only rage for that man.

Shit, why here? His human side was thinking while his other half was boiling internally only thinking of one thing. Kill or send the guy to the hospital.

He could feel it, the wolf wanting out. He felt his blood boil, how his spine coiled, and his mind was tripping, going between the scene in front of him to pure red. He quickly spun around trying to calm himself.

"Hey Steve bring me another bottle fast!" he shouted at the bartender slamming money on the bar top ",Unless you want an incident on your hands." He was so close to shifting right then and there, damn to what would happen to him. Why did he feel that way? She was a vampire, he hated vampires, yet seeing her with another guy threw him into a fit of anger. A bottle was placed in front of him that he quickly grabbed and began to drink, trying his hardest to not look back over toward her direction again and not split the man's head open on the floor.

I should of just headed home, he thought to himself. He stole another cigarette from Steve as well doing anything to try and keep himself from turning full wolf.

Annaliza practically melted into Taylor's hug and felt like she'd turned into mush.

' If you stayed to listen, I don't know if you'd be affected by my voice. I know that some species aren't affected by it, but I'd rather not risk you getting hurt. '

She had loosened her grip on him just a little bit in order to type that message out on her phone and show it to him. If she was going to sing at all to Taylor, she was going to have to be in a state of happiness; because her mother had told her never to sing when she was sad. When she'd asked her mother why she couldn't, her mother explained that if a siren sings when she's happy, there is a chance nothing bad will happen; but if she sang while sad or upset, it was almost certain she'd cause pain to someone. She'd then leapt into a story about how Annaliza's grandmother had sang while she'd been upset and when her soul mate went over to comfort her; he'd ended up slipping into the pool, nearly drown, and lost most of the feeling in his fingers.

Shaking thoughts of seeing Taylor looking at her through a veil of water, she turned her attention to Mia. While the promise of dessert sounds yummy, she didn't want to risk the safety of those in the cafe. It would pretty much make her shrink into herself if she cost another person their soul mate because of what she was. Before tears could gather in her eyes, she quickly scribbled onto her sketchpad.

' You and your soul mate are very sweet, and the offer of a free dessert is very kind, but I'll have to decline. I will take a piece of cheesecake though. You can add it to our bill. '

Offering Mia a kind smile that made her blue eyes seem a little brighter, she was about to ask if Taylor wanted something when Solenne pulled him up onto the stage. Her hands felt cold now that they weren't touching her soul mate, so she distracted herself by borrowing Solenne's acoustic guitar and testing out the strings. She'd dabbled in the guitar and piano for a few years, but her true passion was the violin. She'd played one since she was 5 years old and owned 3 of the beautiful instruments. Two of them were regular, while the third was an electric one her father had gotten her as a surprise gift. He said that he wanted her to ' come into the age of electric instruments '.

To be honest, she'd originally not wanted the electric violin; but she grew to love it over time, because it created a unique sound and she'd tested out different ways to play it. Turning her gaze to Solenne and Taylor, she offered silent encouragement to her soul mate in the form of a smile before following the movement of Solenne's hands. She mirrored the movement of his fingers with her own and it only took a riff or two before their movements matched up.

The veins around Trixy’s eyes bulged and darkened, as if tiny snakes were swimming in them, and the whites of her eyes turned red with bloodlust. With her eyes locked onto her very jealous looking soul mate, Béatrix plunged her fangs into the helpless kid’s neck, drinking deep. His blood carried the tang of alcohol and desire, which only fueled the urgency of her need. Closing her eyes now, Trixy tried to drink the image of Tholo away, but no matter what she did, his presence made the blood taste sour in her mouth.

Béatrix retracted her fangs and licked the wounds on his neck to heal them. She convinced the guy that nothing extravagant happened that night, he’d just gotten drunk and blacked out for a bit. With a hypnotic nod and a stumble, he was on his way out. Trixy took in a deep inhale, just to gather herself, before she stormed over to the bar.

Trixy took the seat next to Tholo, figuring that she might as well face this thing head on. He was drinking heavily, obviously not pleased with their situation either. The bartender looked over to her and she signaled that she wanted another drink, better yet, make it a double.

“So, first you make me lose my perp, and now you spoil my dinner. What am I to make of this, Englishman?” Trixy had her arms crossed as she looked at him, obviously annoyed. There was still fresh blood on her lips, the color well-matched to the dark ruby lipstick she wore. She caught Bartholomew staring at it, “What? Don’t pretend like you’re a stranger to the taste, Wolf,” she said before running her tongue along her lower lip.

She closed her eyes in an attempt to enjoy the feeling of being sated, but she didn’t. Her desire for blood was always closely tied to another desire, and Tholo had interrupted her plans to fulfill the latter. Trixy found her eyes lingering on the strong lines of his cheekbones and jaw, and the way his facial muscles flexed when he took a drag from his cigarette. No, it was just the lust of the fresh blood in her system, nothing more. Thankfully, the Bartender came over with her drink, interrupting her wandering thoughts. Trixy uncrossed her arms and gave him a stunning smile in thanks.

Her slender pale fingers held the glass with a unique kind of elegance as she swirled the liquid before taking a sip. The taste of blood and whiskey on her tongue calmed her only slightly. She flicked her eyes from the glass and back to him, not really bothered by the silence. One of them would speak eventually.

Great Trixy had come over to the bar, just the exact opposite he wanted at the moment when he was nearly loosing control of the beast in him. He turned toward her when he felt like he wasn't going to lash out towards her and gazed at her lips, the lingering scent of blood on them. He didn't stare out of disgust or false not knowing what it was but in desire. He craved blood, he craved a kill at that moment. The blood sang sweetly to him, enough to nearly make him sick with desire. He turned away focusing back to his drink. Eventually he calmed himself down, now that the guy was gone that she had been with, the desire to splatter the man's skull ebbed away. He worked on his cigarette trying his best to ignore the vampire next to him but eventually caved in on himself.

"I'm just a bringer of bad omens," he finally replied ",Besides I was having a good time until I saw you grinding against your dinner," He took another drink from his bottle before continuing."I'm surprised you are here actually. I thought you would be more into those rich pricks for your meal tickets Frenchy." He looked back at her taking note of how her dressed hugged her body, how her fingers elegantly swirled her drink, her voluptuous lips. The alcohol definitely must of been kicking in, not desire, couldn't be desire not for a vampire.

" Victoria. "

He tested the name out on his tongue and found that he really like it. Dyami had met many a person named Victoria in his life ( occupational hazard ), but this one was special; and by all rights, it should be. Taking her hand and shaking it, he introduced himself.

" Dyami Iwatoke, M.D. But I suppose you already knew that. "

He chuckled a little bit and opened his mouth to ask her if she wanted to go get something to eat because he was starving, but he was interrupted by someone ( or rather; someones ), calling his name. Turning to look at Chris and Denise ( one of the nurses ), who looked a little worse for the wear, his hand left the warmth of Victoria's and put that same hand on Chris' shoulder.

" Did something happen? "

" Well; not really, but we just wanted to let you know we called in some back-up. "

" Are we really that understaffed today? I'm sure that having Gibbins, Doyle, Welch, you, Jones, Andrews, Geraldo, and me would be enough. "

" Well, we wanted to let you take the rest of the day off, and we had intended on giving you the whole day off, but with no other Trauma Surgeons who are as close by as you; we had no choice but to call you in. I'm really glad I did though, because that woman is going to be in and out for a little while, but she's definitely going to make it. "

Running a hand through his hair, Dyami sighed and then made a scribbling motion with his free hand. Chris immediately handed over his prescription pad and Dyami wrote down what he wanted Chris to give her, as well as the doses. Tearing off the sheet, he gave it back to Chris and pointed at the top line.

" Make sure you only give her that after she wakes up. If you give it to her before she wakes up, it could some irreversible damage and we need her to be conscious to tell us if anything is wrong. "

" You got it. Anything else? "

" Yeah. In addition to those medications, I need you to check on her neck tracheotomy incision and make sure that no infection starts to build. The worst possible thing for a tracheotomy incision is infection because it will attack the vocal chords and it will make them permanently mute. "

He continued talking for a few more minutes, and after Chris and Denise left, Dyami let out a breath and rubbed at his eyes. They were slightly red from lack of sleep, and he wasn't sure whether or not taking her out to eat would be such a good idea; especially if he ended up falling asleep halfway through.

" I really hate to spring this on you; but since you look like you could do with a nap as well, do you mind coming back with me to my place? I'll give you full access to everything in my house, well except for my medical equipment. I wouldn't want you to injure yourself. "

Pointing off to the west, he made several gestures with his pointer finger as if giving directions.

" My place is within walking distance and you're welcome to bring Kubik; as long as he doesn't mind making friends with Larry. Larry will stay in his enclosure though, because I'm not sure how you feel about snakes. "

Good lord; he was so tired he was rambling. He was in serious need of an extremely caffeinated beverage ( or two ), or a nice nap.

Danilo looked over the businesses card and placed it in a inner pocket of his coat. ''Solenne Nocturne, I will remember that. '' Danilo grinned watching him step off the stage just in time as a loud voice entered the cafe. The blond woman swirled around in search for the soulmate and once she spotted her she assaulted the girl with question after question. Danilo laughed. She was a lovely person from the looks of it.

Danilo walked over to Delilah who was observing the shower on her friend. '' Delilah.''

''Yes Dan?''

''Promise me to tell me when Solenne and Mia are getting married the wedding cake will be free house. '' The dragon said looking at the blond agent not even a feet away from him. The waitress hummed a sure grinning happily adding that the two do look like a perfect match. He made a bow to the 3 ladies. ''Well I will be going for today. See you tomorrow. Somewhere out there is my own soulmate waiting.'' Giving a wave Danilo watches the next song being sung and felt happy for them. Once out in the street he wondered if his own meeting with his soulmate would be as lively as theirs. He wouldnt mind that at, all.

He wandered slowly along the streets reaching soon the park, the time passed as he enjoyed the flowers and sunshine on his skin occasionally petting a pup or dog that run by. His wrist stayed silent, as he relaxed. He couldnt spend the rest of the day on the bench he was just too eager and the waiting was eating him even more up than anything in his life did. Setting out to get himself a proper bite, he wondered if he want to drag this day out as much as possible or want it to fly by. He giggled to himself. After he had a nice meal with lots of meet he wandered the streets again. He stopped, turning his head he noticed someone he knew well. So he run up them. ''Hey!''

Roderick had about as much wits as a young child and probably would have reached for something sharp himself if he wasn't so afraid of making an idiot of himself right now. This was a real family, though they were elven and they seemed to do things a tad differently, they were a real family and he'd never really experienced that much. Honestly, he was much more shocked by how well they seemed to get along, they seemed to work with one another and there was a lot of love to them. It made him a little choked up and he found himself wondering if his family would have ever been like this if his step father had wanted kids. If his mother had wanted more kids.

He knew his mother had become somewhat phobic to the subject of any more kids and he knew it was because of him. Whoever his father was, whoever the clawed demon that spawned him happened to be, he was left with no memories and she was left with too many. He knew that somewhere she had loved the man that created him, even if he hadn't been her soulmate and that somewhere she still thought of him. He knew that his step dad would never hold up to him and that she couldn't ever replace him, no matter how hard she tried and that tugged something in his chest. He didn't know what it was like being entranced by anyone, he had waited with bated breath until he met the tall elven man before him and now that he was here, he couldn't imagine someone better.

He felt her sadness though like a constant weight between his shoulders and he knew she worried about him and the powers he possessed, he worried about himself sometimes but he also knew she loved him. Sometimes he thought it was because he resembled his father in his stormy gray eyes and sometimes he thought that she truly did just care for him. He'd never be too sure. Staring at the arrow kit now, he tucked the slightly sad thoughts away to offer his soulmate a warm smile. He had no clue what the young man was saying but he guessed it had to do with bow and arrows.

"I'd love to learn more about your archery. I might be a sad failure at the actual sport but I would love to watch what you can do." he gave a swift nod because he knew the man couldn't understand him either. "After we eat of course, I'm starved!"

Béatrix was right, one of them did eventually break the silence. “I’m just a bringer of bad omens,” he began, ’pfft, you can say that again…’ she thought to herself. “Besides, I was having a good time until I saw you grinding against your dinner.” Now that made her truly smile, so those were jealous vibes she was picking up earlier.

“Awwe,” she kissed her teeth a little, “Just because you wear my name on your wrist, doesn’t mean I’m yours. You’ll never have all of me.” Trixy said with a hint of a warning in her tone. Without her permission, the thought that he would have at least some part of her, haunted her mind. “Besides, not all of us can hunt like beasts. And rich pricks don’t taste any better than the average human. Plus, I can’t very well eat my neighbors.” She said the last part in a whispered tone. Although most supernaturals were now ‘out of the closet’ so-to-speak, humans didn’t take to kindly to the vampire diet, naturally.

Trixy tried to concentrate on anything else but the wolf beside her. She should probably leave. It was like someone else was using her body, since when would she ever walk willingly to a barstool and sit right next to a lycanthrope? But still, she couldn’t help but see from the corner of her eye, the way he was looking at her, the thick scent of lust rolling of him. The whole bar reeked of it, but it was like he was the only one there all of the sudden. Maybe it was the blood on her tongue, or the heated atmosphere, or maybe just pure curiosity, but Béatrix looked at him with bold blue eyes and said: “Kiss me.” Succinct, it was more of a demand than a question.

Tholo laughed."What makes you think I want anything from you?" he said ",Remember I have two soulmates died and buried, a third wouldn't be a shock. Like I said bad omen. If you live for three years then we'll talk on what I want. Plus I like to have fun with something that has a pulse," He tried his best to ignore the bloodsucker next to him. She was infuriating yet alluring all at the same time, it was enough to drive him mad, not to mention his desires at that moment were easily radiated thanks to the alcohol and is earlier thoughts of getting some tail earlier that night. It didn't help that he caught a lingering scent on the vampire next to him of some form of desire, probably having plans to have playtime after her meal that he apparently interrupted.

He did his best to ignore what was in him and keep his mental barriers up and the wall that encased his feelings."Say what you want about me, I might have a primal rage in me but we are both predators. I just happen to hunt in the woods while you hunt in the city. Different methods, same goal in the end, to feed," he replied to her calling him a beast. It seemed to get increasingly harder to ignore her and just focus on some other point. He wanted to up and walk away and head home but he remained glued where he was, his head shifting and glancing at her and was caught off guard by what she said next.

"Kiss me."

It wasn't a question and had more power behind it then just a request. It was more like a demand and he was tempted to obey but a better thought came into mind from the earlier encounter in the alley. He turned towards her and leaned in getting a few inches from her face, taking in her aroma, which was peculiar. He expected her to reek of death and blood but instead picked up on other smells. A brief hint of vanilla, some form of perfume perhaps, of course the recent meal she had but it didn't smell like the blood of a dead person but more livid something more desirable. When he was nearly about to give what she demanded he stopped with a slight mischievous grin on his face.

"Make me," he replied with the same tone she had demanded her kiss. He then stood up from his stool and turned to the bartender."Thanks for the cigs Steve," he said before making his way to the door and heading back out onto the streets making his way home on the outer reaches of the city. Part of him wished he had gone for that kiss but he chalked that up again to the alcohol, which just gave another reason to leave the bar. Of course seeing the look on Trixy's face when he made his demand had made him feel better about the day's events.

Béatrix didn’t know what to expect, honestly, she surprised herself in even making the demand. It was unthinkable to interact with a wolf in such a way, especially after swearing to avenge Francis at all costs. Her hatred ran almost as deep in her blood as vampirism, yet here she waited with bated breath on Tholo’s next move. He leaned towards her and Trixy’s lips parted slightly in anticipation. This close, his scent took her off guard, she half-expected the usual wet dog smell, but he instead emanated the musk of campfires and deep woods. He smelled alive and natural and free, all things she’d long since forgotten in over six centuries of unlife.

“Make me.” Tholo’s words rang with teasing, his grin mischievous. Béatrix gave a wry smile and quirked one eyebrow up. Perhaps this would be more fun than she initially thought… Perhaps not because, in that instant, he was pulling away, thanking the bartender, and leaving her there without so much as a goodbye.

Anger swelled up like a giant beast within her. Trixy wasn’t a person that was used to being told no, and she didn’t much like it. She only noticed how tightly she was gripping the whiskey glass when the pressure had caused it to fracture in several places. With a deep, calming exhale, Trixy put down the cup and hastily paid off her bar tab.

Since Béatrix couldn’t kill Bartholomew outright, she went to the next best legal place to do some shooting. Trixy never left home without at least one of her glocks on person, and today she wore one holstered high on her thigh, concealed beneath her skirt. At the police department’s range, the guy at the front desk was about to offer her ear protection when he realized who she was. Vampires didn’t really need to worry about keeping their bodies in good health.

“You’re in rather late today, Madame de la Croix.” the young human began, “Yeah, it’s been a long day.” She said, cutting him off, before pushing her way through the soundproofed door. Trixy didn’t really need much practice, vampire reflexes and the fact that she’d been using firearms for almost as long as they existed, ensured that she was already a deadly shot. She put a few rounds through the heart and head of the target, not really settling on one face to put on it in her mind. Sometimes it was Tholo, sometimes herself, but mostly just the intangible being that was fate.

After spending a few minutes channeling her aggression, Trixy left the range in a flurry, giving the guy at the desk a rushed goodbye. She boarded the subway, thinking it was probably best to head back to her apartment and try to sleep this dreadful day away. Sleeping at night kind of went against a vampire's nature, but now that they didn’t have to hide from humans as much, and because her new job required it, Trixy had shifted her schedule to a more mainstream one. She put her head back to rest it against the wall while she closed her eyes in an attempt to drown out all the noise of peoples thoughts and voices around her.

Tholo found his way home in the suburbs on the outskirts of the city. His home was a two story house, with a basement, upon entering there was a living room off to the right with a pair of stairs ascending and descending on the right. Past the living room was a dining area that was rarely used yet was also meticulously clean with a kitchen off to the right. An office was down the hall on the left of the dining area where many hours were spent either trying to write a new book under an alias name to keep himself under the radar of fans or working on metal work designs with one of his prize creations inside the office. Despite his hatred for silver and its effectiveness to kill him and others like him, his best creation was a pair of intricate detailed knives made from silver. They had made him sick while working on them but they were his greatest creations for metal work, to show that despite his hatred for it he could still bend it to his will.

He removed his coat and placed it in a closet that was under the stairs that went up and headed for the kitchen grabbing a steak and heating it only slightly in a microwave before eating it, still mostly raw, in the kitchen. He placed the plate in the dishwasher once finished and made his way downstairs removing his shirt and throwing it into a laundry pile near a pair of washer and dryer. the basement consisted of a workout area and another room which was his den. As he began to do his workout he looked down at the scars on his body, there were three prominent ones. The bite mark on his right shoulder, the reminder of the attack that made him what he was along with some of the claw marks on his left arm. Then the large gash that began on his left hip and extended to the middle of the lower torso, the battle scar from his fight with the woodsman who began the stupid fairytale of little red by paying off some other family to play the roles. Poor bastard was lynched when the town learned it was fake but the fairytale remained. He then began his workout with the punching bag in the center of the room, in his mind it changed from different people. First it was the vampire who betrayed his original pack centuries ago, the woodsman who cut him open, a random person who attacked his pack, one of the hunters when he was called Jean Baptiste, and then Trixy. Even in his solitude his mind somehow decided to focus on her.

He stopped with the punching bag and did a variety of other tasks, ending a few hours later and returned back up the stairs and then headed to the second floor where the master bedroom resided with a bathroom halfway down the hall and a guest bedroom on the other side that was never used. As he prepared for bed he looked outside his wood into the backyard where a rather large shed could be seen. The shed was his forge area, the place he now worked on his metal and kept his original job of blacksmith many centuries before. Now he merely made pieces that would hang in some house or be used for today's cosplayers, remembering he once made them for more sinister tasks.

"Eh I guess I'll work on some of those projects I need to get down tomorrow," he said to himself and went to the bed, turning on a TV on the other side of the room. He hardly payed attention to what was on however since he soon succumbed to slumber.

Taylor panicked and turned to the crowd like a fish out of water as he listened to the opening beat. He had never heard this song and could not sing, that was not his thing, public eye was not his thing, this was worse that court. You don't know this song do you. Bobby said with a dry tone, more of a statement than a question. Move over, I know this song and can at least make us not look like fools. Taylor could not argue with him there but anxiety still crept up his spine. He did not know if the time was right but it was his only other option besides looking like a sourpuss.

Whenever Taylor and Bobby switched off, it could be described as two friends doing a bro hand shake. All Taylor had to do was close his eyes and focus on Bobby. In doing this it was like, him sticking his hand out, mean while Bobby would move to the front of his mind this was like Bobby taking his hand. Then they would go in for the bro hug, this was them switching places. Once that was done Bobby would let go, that was him moving back to the surface, and Taylor would let his hand go, that was him taking Bobby's place. It used to be a long and upsetting process but after years of doing it they got a system down.

Bobby opened his eyes and immediately smiled that knowing smile. He took a breath and smelled the cafe air around him and then looked at his soul mate. She was even more beautiful in person and that caught him off guard for a moment. The he heard the music and he remembered were he and looked at the man that was playing the song. You better not screw this up. Bobby chuckled and opened his mouth to speak. "Hey I do know this song."

"Hey Little girl, I wanna be your boyfriend."

"Sweet little girl, I wanna be your boyfriend."

"Do you love me babe?"

"What do you say?"

"Do you love me babe?"

"What can I say?"

"Because I wanna be your boyfriend."

The entire song he looked at Annaliza the whole time, Bobby sung this song for her. He did not have the best singing voice ever, but it was decent. He always sound more masculine that Taylor, this was another thing that set them apart. Taylor knew that he would get up on stage and have fun with the whole situation, dancing around and going with the beat, he would have shrunk and probably fell in a corner.

Bobby looked at the man and nodded a thanks then got off stage and went over to Annaliza. He was going to see if she could tell the difference. He went up to her and hugged her, then looked her in the eyes. "That was so much fun, how did you think I did?"

Solenne’s crimson eyes flicked between the conversation between Mia and Blondie and the boy he had pulled up to the stage and noticed an immediate shift in how the kid stood. Solenne cocked an eyebrow as the kid, a newfound confidence in his abilities it seemed, took the mic with Solenne strumming behind him. The Ramone’s would always be close to the old vampire’s hearts, they knew how to be punk without resorting ‘fuck the establishment’ mentality and instead chose a few beautiful topics. The vampire grinned as the kids voice rang out, hard and masculine. Solenne laughed, curious at the sudden change from small timid boy to the guy belting out a Ramones song. The song finished and the kid stepped down to talk to Blondie. Solenne simply continued playing, deciding to continue playing. He figured waiting in the café till Mia was finished wasn't the worst idea he had ever come up with.

-----hours pass-----

Daliah bounced on her toes, prodding Solenne during her break. The red eyed vampire smiled "Hello Daliah, another issue?"

"Nope...just curious about a few things?" Daliah grinned at him, the drawl in her voice rather apparent. It vaguely reminded Solenne of somewhere south.

"Oh?" The vampires thin brow raised in question.

"So you're a vampire right?" She stated simply. Solenne nodded, curious at the question and where she was going with this "so you don't have a circulation?" Solenne sighed gently, suddenly understanding where the girl was going.

"Correct" crimson eyes flicking to Mia, hoping she wasn't listening on this little conversation.

"So...uhh...." Daliah fumbled with her question. The bouncing stopped and she was caught thinking.

"It works for a few hours after drinking blood" Solenne stated simply.

"Oh."

-more hours-

Solenne flipped the last chair up to rest it on the table, doing menial labour for the café to be clean for the next day and to ensure Mia just needed to do some last counting of stock. He looked outside, the sky having taken on a dark purple. He smiled. The man that had walked ages was helping a small café clean up. All because he was immediately smitten by a beautiful human. He smiled at his soulmate, unsure if he was overstepping boundaries today. He sure hoped he wasn't. A grin on his lips, he hopped up on to the counter. He sat and waited for his soulmate.

The person turned around at Danilos voice. Dan grin grew. ''Didnt see you in ages, Pauls whats were you up to. '' He asked to the black haired man, they exchanged a hug and the man ruffled Dans red locks before he continued down the busy street.

''Ah the usual, you know. I transferred here wanted to try this America out.''

''Vlad, wouldnt have guessed you would ever move out Siberia, you loved it there. ''

Vlad laughed and shock his head. They chit chat grow into reminiscing of the old times, Pauls being a elf native to the tribe living in the plains of russia. He meet Dan when the dragon first started to explore the world not even 40 years old was Danilo back then, well compared to his friend he was still a baby. Danilo walked with Vlad, and didnt even took in his surroundings properly. Slowly they were getting in the most busiest of streets, and not long after even stepping down the stairs in the underground of the metro. Vlad was having a destination in mind, not knowing how important today day was his young dragon friend. Even more how important was it not to be in crowds of people.

It was brief, a hot sting on his wrist and it was gone. Danilo stopped dead in his trucks making Vlad turn around to see the dragon looking around as if he lost something extremely important. Dan couldnt belived he meet his soulmate, and they touched, someone brushed agaisnt him but the crowd had too many people and all of them moved fast, he ignored the occasional glare for just standing there.

He missed his soulmate.

More like they just passed by each other. It was a catastrophe.

-a Hour later-

''I am so sorry, Danilo. '' Vlad rubbed Dans back, the dragon was having a quite irritated face on, it didnt suit him at all. ''Dont feel bad''

''I pass by my soulmate, look the name how shall I ever find them!'' It was a possessive growl before Dan dropped his face into his hands. '' Well if you let me speak, you would know. ''

That got the red head to peek out his fingers, the orange eye fixed at the elf.

''Soulmates are destined to keep crossing their parts in life. You will see them again, its fate. Maybe you two have to work harder at meeting each other. '' Those words did help, it gave him hope... But he was exhausted. He said his Goodbye to Vlad and made his way back home. He was high on his own emotions and now that the moment of his life passed in great disappointment, what should he tell his sisters and brothers. They will never let it down, like they needed more ammo against him... Once home he opened the special cupboard and drunk himself to bed.

He will go see his friend tomorrow. Staying around him, would help him.

-Early next morning-

With a new morning Danilo had new hope, they were out there and Vlad was right, he just have to keep eyes open and maybe they will run into each other again. It may have been to early but Danilo dressed himself again up, well not as much as yesterday. But the black coat and west, with the white under shirt with shelves that went over his hands left him look over dressed for most of the places in this city. Hat on the head can in one hand and the telephone in the other he left his flat texting Tholo.

You home? Would you mind me come over?

Thinking for a few more moments he send a follow up messege.
Sorry if I woke you up. I didnt woke you up or? Well sorry anyway. I am on the way over, now. I can make breakfast for you if I woke you up.

The messege looked weird after Dan reread it, but he shrugged it off, it would be fine he told himself and while being on the way Danilo brought several items to make a great feast as a apology. It was shirt before seven when Danilo knocked on Tholo door with lot more vigor than it should be appropriate that early.

As the man stood to take the microphone to sing alongside Solenne's strumming, Mia grinned, even though it faltered slightly at the slight shift in his demeanour. His movements and gestures were closer to swaggers, purposeful, perhaps even predatory, but less benign than Mia would have supposed. She shrugged it off, and slipped quickly away to the counter before returning to the table where the blonde girl sat, and sliding a plate of cheesecake onto the tabletop. "As promised, it's on the house," she said to the girl, with a grin. For a moment, she crossed her arms to stand next to the blonde, gazing thoughtfully at the front of the cafe, where their soulmates performed side-by-side.

Later, Mia had to return to work. She caught the faint thread of conversation between Delilah and Solenne, and peering over to catch Solenne's shutter-quick glance at her direction, she smiled downwards at the countertop she worked, wondering how on earth she had gotten so lucky.

And then the day drew to a close, and the sun began to set, painting strange colours and hues over the sky outside. The evening crowd coming in for a last crash of caffeine to burn the midnight oil was slowly but surely trickling out, and with them left the ticking minutes of Mia's shift. She swiftly packed the cafe up, moving with a practised smoothness that comes with having performed the routine several times before. Occasionally, her eyes would glide to Solenne, who had stayed to put the chairs away. Once again, fortune filled her heart, where there was almost certainly a place carved for him, the man who lingered hours upon the first day of their meeting. Everything was going so well, so evenly without hitch or hiccup, that Mia could not help the niggle of worry somewhere between her eyes that in the smooth run of rope, there would appear an impossible tangle or knot.

She emerged from the kitchens - having said goodbye to their chef - without her apron, with a bag slung loosely across her front, to see Solenne perched on the countertop. Quietly she crept forward, until she could slip her arms around his middle and her cheek was pressed against his back. "So you've seen me at my mundane job," she said, the smile audible in her voice. "You really didn't have to wait this long for my shift to end. It must have been deadly dull for you."

A question came to her then; one that had existed in her thoughts from morning, but hadn't quite precipitated to anything sure and solid in words until now. "Solenne," she said, voice level and conversational, "how do you feed?"
