[OOC] Alien invasion

Jack didn't know where he was. The last thing he remembers was him sleeping in a comfortable bed, excited for graduation. But he wasn't there, He didn't remember large metal walls in his room, or multiple creatures staring down at him. Jack fearfully tried to sit up, but it was impossible. He was tightly strapped and there was no escape. He suddenly felt the strong, heavy, metal straps loosen. As he sat up, he noticed a large extraterrestrial creature staring at him. After what seemed like forever, the creature suddenly started to speak."I'm moria, and we come from another galaxy, we have come here to capture all you human beings and take this planet for ourselves, welcome to your new home"

Alien invasion. The stuff of many movies, many legends, from X-Files to people running to police stations about UFO sightings.

All of that was nonsense. Everyone knew, heck, people still know. Which is why the real aliens have been able to get away with their experiments and plans for some time now.

That all changed when at Drexford High School, a student was found dead. This wasn't any normal death, either - nobody was able to tell how the death was actually caused, but it was impossible to notice how the body was mutilated in ways beyond anything a human could possibly accomplish. That's when people started getting suspicious, in the town anyways.

Behind the scenes, investigators and researchers found much stranger things: tracking microchips, foreign DNA on the body of no earthly origin.

The news about what happened was quickly hushed. The government understandably did not want the findings to come out, as it would cause crazy people to have a field day with "martians confirmed" at best, and cause all out panic at worst.

The government did its job well, but suspicion lingers. Strange sightings have incresed around the school, drawing everyone from curious students to government investigators. Soon, all these parties will unraval a mystery; a mystery that is too great for anyone to ignore.

The question is, will these parties unite and solve the matter once and for all in time?

This is a jump-in roleplay, flexible enough to allow for many types of characters.

You can be an average high school student, an investigator, a curious baker or one of the aliens themselves. That's all up to you. Characters will be reviewed and accepted by @ArenaSnow.

Your goal is to piece together what happened, talking to other characters and generally working together to figure out what happened with the body that was found. You will have an additional mission that will become more obvious as time in the roleplay goes on; one student, known to everyone as Jake, hasn't been around for two days.

Once there are enough players, the roleplay will begin. 5 at the minimum would be a good start. Keep in mind you can make multiple characters.

This is a new player friendly roleplay, hosted by a new roleplayer. If you are new to roleplaying, this is the one for you. Even after the roleplay starts, new characters can find a spot to come in.

The setting is in and around the High School, in the made-up town of Bremerton, California (I hope there isn't another Bremerton in California). Feel free to include any information that you can think of to develop the setting of the high school if you wish in your CS. Otherwise, when the roleplay begins, if there are details missing, fill them in while you're writing.

If you aren't on in over a week and you made no arrangements then your character will be put to the side as an NPC. If you are online often and don't post in a week the character will be abducted. @ArenaSnow Hi I'm Hipster and I would like to let your know that putting "jump-in" as a join status means anyone can go and literally post whatever they so desire ranging from "JEFF POOPS AND THE UNIVERSE WAS MADE OUT OF POOP HUE HUE HUE" to something that would make the 1X1 rps cringe in despair.

I would like to tell you that if you want to have characters accepted you should replace "Jump-in" with "Apply". also I'm interested in this and would like to be a alien. I'll pop out a CS in a couple of minutes hours days weeks months Years?

I've been in conversation with the main GM, he changed the tag early in discussion before I made the post. I know how masty a jump-in is, which is why I advised against it.

I'll PM him on changing it as well as subscribing.

I'll be honest. No idea. I'm helping manage the thing for the GM, but I'm hoping to have the worldbuilding bits up to those who join.

So, basically, until someone makes up lore on aliens, they are a blank slate.

That said, I do intend to claim a high position in whatever alien hierarchy is formed.

the Aliens are a Cunning but overzealous race. they have a humongous following for their own religion which is believing in a Sentient Power generator that generates trillions of Electricity for the Aliens.

however in order to keep the "Generator" Generating they pick a planet and start Secretly abducting the inhabitants. in return the Aliens protect the planet from "rogue" Aliens. However the "Generator" creates a massive amount of radiation so the Generator is stationed the "Abductee" planet so the Radiation can be safely stored on the planet.

but however after 50 years the entire inhabitants of the planet will die of radiation and their will be enough power to power the Aliens homeworld for a century. and then the Cycle will happen again.

the Aliens can disguise themselves as any member of any species. including humans. they're main purpose on Earth is to Abduct people and sacrifice them to the generator. they're also using Earth as a place to store the pollution from the generator.

Its basically the Incubators from Madoka magica. and the techpriests from Warhammer 40k. thats my 5 cents. don't spend them on a pencil @ArenaSnow

@2b3heart I was thinking they would be able to shape shift from human to this cute little bunny thing to add to the horror because the so-called-aliens primary weapons are words and smacking people in the head while they're looking the other way

also so if I'm a alien I can manipulate people into helping the "alien"

but heres a good list of alien weaknesses.

1 bullets (joke)
2 Being allergic to peanuts
3 once in a while they have to take a special pill in order to keep breathing air.
4 Pepsi. not just any drink. pepsi makes them vaporise. (Yet another joke)
5 The aliens have weaker bones due to living on a low-gravity world from time to time. making them extremely crappy in fights
6 Religious overzealousness. basically each member is extremely religious. not much of a weakness.
7 If you take a vial of their blood and attempt to burn it. the blood will Move away from the fire.
8 seriously smashing their head in with a bat is the biggest weakness
9 Each of the aliens rely on electricity to survive. but not just any electricity, electricity from their all-holy generator.
10 each member pronouces the letter zed as zee instead.
11 JUST SHOOT THEM WITH A GUN?
12 allergy to jelly.
