Hey everyone, Drone here. I know I just joined yesterday, but I did search out a roleplaying forum site for the specific purpose of roleplaying and introducing my own ideas. Now obviously, I'm not sure how interest check rules go here, as I'm still new to the site, but I'm going to introduce two ideas. Keep in mind, I'm aware these ideas are not entirely creative, but it's stuff I've done in the past and were rather popular. Also, I am aware that things like this might exist or have already existed on this forum, but everyone moderates and roleplays differently, so something that may have failed in the past, may work now under different management or with different players...
Camp half Blood:
My first idea is going to be a Camp Half Blood roleplay. I've not bothered searching through these forums, but with how popular of an author Rick Riordian is, there has probably been one on these forums before. It is a successful series of books, it's a creative idea that was put out by Riordian, and it's pretty easy to manipulate to create a successful roleplay, as long as those who join are actually interested in the roleplay itself. Now, it would all be pretty simple. The players would be set in Camp Half Blood, or arriving at Camp Half Blood, whatever is preferred. You'd be able to put together your character to be the child of any of the gods, even one of the Big Three, as long as your application and roleplay is up to par.
A buddy of mine who recently joined the forums as well helped me moderate a roleplay like this on a different forum page that lasted over a year. It was successful, but things got slow for me, so I couldn't continue. He stepped up and took over, doing just as good a job. Nebula is the dude by the way, Marvel Turtle Man I think.... Depending on how many people show interest and join, would determine the questing system.
DC Universe:
I am 100% sure there is already a DC Universe roleplay, I just haven't taken the time to look at it. But for the most part, this is entirely created by my own brain. Basically, children around the globe are chosen for being the most skilled, most knowledgeable, and even most wealthy, to attend a private school several miles off the coast of Gotham. The school's Dean, Hugo Strange, has chosen these children (ranging from 12-18), to attend his school for a simple, yet sinister reason.
The players create their characters as they like. During the application process, they'd also go about explaining why they were chosen. An example being my first character on a separate forum page; a world class martial artist. Simple enough. Another player was chosen simply for being part of one of the wealthiest families in the world. It doesn't have to be crazy, just appealing. The idea of this roleplay, is each player will eventually become a side kick, partner, or trainee to a hero or villain of the DC universe. You want to be trained by Batman? During the application process you say so. You have a buddy that also wants to be trained by Batman? You guys can do it together, doesn't really matter. I would just have to be notified ahead of time. The whole idea of this roleplay is you create a character that appeals to you, appeals to a psychopath like Hugo Strange, and appeals to your chosen trainer/hero/villain.
Thanks for taking the time to view this guys. If you have any questions, please ask away. I didn't put too much detail into this, purely because I want there to be a little mystery to the two different roleplays.
