Year 0 - The origin of life
Some time, eons before there was a human or dinosaur, before there was the pleiades or any complex, planet-based life for that matter life lived not on worlds but in the depths of space. These early beings only nested at time to time on worlds, living a nomadic existence without any boundaries, barriers or limits. They thrived for billions of years, living out a simple existence subsiding on the light from stars and occasionally dropping to the planets that orbiting them to die. Many words in the early universe were seeded by these beings, the "Nebulous" being what they are termed collectively due to not being any one species but a galactic biosphere of floating, space entities who were the first complex lifeforms to arise in a galaxy full of life less worlds.
Their origins came from the nebulae, where over the first several billion years of our universe life slowly developed and evolved not in a mucky soup, but in the void of space. The Nebulous over time would spread life to other worlds not for some benevolent reason, but simply by accident. Simply because some of them got caught in a gravity well or because it was a Nebulous specimen that used worlds to hide eggs from more predatory beings. The number of scenarios being quite vast in a galaxy full of Nebulous entities. Given billions of years, the microbes left behind on some rocky worlds begun to thrive. One day making you and me. As for what happened to the Nebulous, no one knows. Their remains in current time fester about the galaxy, being no longer as widespread as they once were and only existing in a few pockets of the galaxy like Eta Carniae. Murdered or simply starved, the era of the Nebulous is long over by now. Now it is now the era of sapience.
And that is where the story of the galaxy begins...
