Well yes I know,butthis is around 1650 when the industrial revolution was just spreading it's wings in the mainland of Europe.Yes England already went past industrial revolutin that time,but this is still the early years of it spreading.Flintlocks were really common,but out of all the other mechanics Snaplock managed to stay in use for as long as flintlocks,whilst the others failed.Snaplock was also good at keeping the gunpowder from becoming
wet.It was also less complicated that the flintlock.I thought It would be good as a standard for a huge army.But otherwise yes,I understand your point.I also looked up and I found some very interesting flintlock,back loading rifles.Also I laughed for like 5 minutes after seeing the paper cartridge used early in
France.So yeah i can say I am just waiting for cartridges to come by.And Rifled guns to be actually good,and common.Of course you seem to know a lot so there is no point in telling you all this.I hope I actually made sense whit what I wrote.
