Since 90% or more of the family based role plays seem to degenerate into some thirsty fucker trying to get their rocks off..
I'm looking for someone able to play an older sister OR brother (The family until will consist of those two, and NOBODY else.) for a character of mine that I am currently developing. THIS IS NOT INCEST.
---
At 13 years of age, Charlie is a quiet and reserved young man, who is considered "Very odd" by people who feel like being polite, and an "Utter freak" by others. This is down to the fact he never actually speaks a single word to anybody at all.
Why?
Because he is scared to. Struggling with a speech impediment, the young man never utters a word to anybody, fearing the redicule he could potentially get if he dares to say anything at all.
Another factor to his perceived "strangeness" is the fact he has Dyslexia, and struggles with reading and writing to a much larger extent then he should do. This is partly down to the fact that he has moved from foster family to foster family, and school to school, never settling in anywhere. As a result, he has never been given an official diagnosis of any learning or educational problems/difficulties, meaning the help and support the young man requires simply isn't, and hasn't been put into place.
It is also thought that he may be on the Autistic Spectrum, as he has a childlike nature and interests, and though he doesn't get violent or have meltdowns, he can show signs of distress when his schedules are changed, or when something is moved in his room from it's proper place. He tends to make noises, rock a little, or cry when distressed, not able to communicate his needs verbally.
What Charlie needs more then anything in the world is someone to look after and to understand him, to love and comfort him, to give him the cuddles that soothe him, and to put in the time and effort to help support him day-to-day.
--
So, I mentioned that I only wanted a big sibling for him, but I WILL be happy to swap this for a parent, though I only want Charlie and the older sibling OR parent as the family unit.
Obviously, the parent won't be biologically related to him. HOWEVER, the sibling can be. (They could have traced the family tree and found him, found out about him after they discovered THEY were adopted, etc.)
I thought this could lend itself to a cute little RP, with Y/C teaching mine to read, write and talk, and I thought it'd be nice if perhaps Y/C had been through a bad patch in their life, with M/C being the one thing they have left they adore.
Or we can create something together.
