"Yo dude, one hot dog with the works!"

"Should you really be eating this much before a fight, Luis?"

"Ah it'll be fine, Renny! You worry too much!"

Luis accepted the hot dog from the vendor and dropped a handful of coins onto the counter of the cart and walked off, idly eating the street delicacy as he strolled down the sidewalk.

The corner of the city's business district was bustling with life this afternoon, with the lunch hour crowd pushing and shoving their way through traffic and other people as they each went about their ways. This, of course, made the slightly burning interdimensional mercenary eating a hot dog in the middle of the sidewalk all the more noticeable. Renny, his machine gun, laid against his chest, hanging from her strap, while the rest of his weapons hung on his back.

Today he'd gotten an alert from his boss that a particularly nasty assassin was in the area and his target was a man that would further their causes if he didn't die. So he was on protection detail, albeit an extremely relaxed one because the target was wholly human. Luis expected the poor fellow to bite it anyway, but he was hankering for a good fight so here he was.

As he polished off the hot dog and burnt the wrapper into ashes in his hand, he found a place to sit on one of the nearby benches. While he sat, he began to inspect the surroundings. All looked normal; traffic was jammed because of a van broken down at the intersection, people were milling in and out of the office tower behind him and some people were staring at him as they walked by, giving him a wide berth from the heat that rolled off his body in waves.

"Besides, this dude looks like a no show anyway."

"Are you sure, Luis?"

He glanced down at the machine gun staring up at him from his lap and shrugged in response.

"Who knows, Renny. Maybe today won't be my lucky day after all."

Observation was a key element to defeating an opponent. Drall watched the Large man wearing combat gear eat a hotdog and sit on a bench. He watched the man incinerate a wrapper in his hands, watched him talk to his weapon, observed how he moved. Finally as the man was in conversation Drall decided to make his move. He was in front of the man, though his opponent would be unlikely to notice seeing as Drall was inside the building opposite the street, and his opponent didn't seem to focused on locating him. Honestly he had never understood why all these people expected a straight up fight in the first place, it wasn't like he was going to parade around with a sign over his head.

Leveling his G3 Drall aimed and slowly released his breath. As the crosshairs centered directly between the other man's eyes Drall squeezed the trigger. A resounding gunshot went off as Drall's rifle kicked and the round tore through the window leaving a hole as it rocketed towards the other man's unprotected head.

"Up high!"

As the crack echoed through the intersection Luis leaned to the right, letting the bullet whizz by the side of his head to bury itself in the sidewalk behind him. As civilians began running and screaming like the panicked lemmings they were, he stood, fire and smoke erupting from the gash in his cheek where the bullet had grazed him.

"That shot came from the building across from you. Up high, probably fourth or fifth floor."

"Got it."

He quickly scanned the office building immediately ahead of him, quickly locating the only pane of glass with a neat little hole in it. He raised his machine gun up at the window and cocked it nice and loud, before pulling a slip of paper from his pocket and reading aloud from it, yelling so his adversary could hear him.

"Marcus Kaizer! You are wanted by the Federation of Kremainn for general violence against its employees, killing several senior members of their research staff and...pirating their copyrighted software and distributing it on the Ethernet? Really? Dude that's so lame! The piracy part, not the killing part!"

Luis crumpled the paper and burnt it as he leveled his machine gun at where he knew the shooter was laid out.

"Anyway, my contract says dead or alive, so I'm just going to assume dead is the better option, but just in case, I'm gonna give you five seconds to surrender! Five!"

"This is not going to work."

"Four! Hush Renny he's going down one way or another."

From his back, his shotgun piped up. He felt the angry young daemon bounce gently against his back as he woke up to the sounds of yelling, screaming and general mayhem.

"Huh wha? What's going on?"

"We're on a bounty run, Ira. Three!"

"A bounty? Where! Where! Lemme at him!"

All that bouncing around woke up the rest of his weapons. His machete and pistol both rumbled into life as he remained focused on the window.

"What's going on? What's with all the yelling?"

"We're on a mission again, looks like."

"Shut up guys you'll ruin the tough guy thing I got going. Two!"

"Just shut up and shoot him already!"
"Guys everyone calm down just let Luis do his thing okay -"
"You have the upper hand Luis don't let your opponent take that away from you -"
"Fellas give him time to think -"

"You know what fuck this."

He squeezed Ren's trigger and unleashed a volley of fire at the office building. The bolts of pure hellfire that the machine gun spat were not as accurate, but there were so many of them it'd be just about certain death if his adversary did not move.

The other man brought the machine gun up, then started talking? Drall thought he heard his real name, but nonetheless the man continued to talk. Before he could even finish his little speech Drall zeroed the sights on his center mass and rapidly sent seven rounds from his magazine downrange.

As the bullets tore through his body he staggered, getting pushed back slightly from the force of the rounds impacting his chest. Without thinking he immediately flashed his body into fire, exploding in a red hot inferno as he quickly converted his sustained wounds into fire that burned strong and hot. Then, as quickly as he had exploded from his ashen flesh, he reformed himself, his flesh forming back and cracking under the intense heat contained within.

"Hijo de puta."

He ran straight at the offending office building and burst into flames, blasting straight up towards the fifth floor in a raging inferno. As he broke through the windows, he reformed himself and raised his machine gun, squeezing the trigger and laying down a field of fire upon his adversary.

"that's annoying" Drall commented to himself as his opponent reformed. The man sprinted at the building and Drall let the G3 fall so it was hanging on its sling. The minute he turned to flames and began to climb Drall dropped two fragmentation grenades at his feet and turned sprinting. Diving over a desk as his opponent shattered the window to shield himself from the explosion that ensued as soon as his opponent opened fire.

As he landed and peppered the area with gunfire, the two frag grenades his adversary dropped detonated. The combined concussive shockwave knocked him back a step, but it was the desk that impacted his face not a moment after that made him stagger back a few more steps. As the heavy wooden desk shattered into pieces against his body, he grew enraged, roaring as a torrent of fire poured from his mouth, setting the office space in front of him on fire, triggering the fire alarms and sprinklers not a moment after.

The explosion itself tore a mighty hole in the floor of the current level of the office building, completely shredding the metal framework at the corner where his adversary had been. Glass in the whole level was shattered into pieces, and the power was out from the major damage. The building as a whole was mostly unharmed, but the current area was very unstable; the floor falling out in places nearby the explosion site.

As he calmed down, he surveyed the area. His opponent was out of sight, had been as soon as he'd got up here. Probably had run off somewhere to cower while his explosives did their work.

He back slung his machine gun and brought his automatic shotgun forward instead, pumping the slide to chamber the first shell even as it pulsed and rumbled in his hands, the daemon within aching to get some action.

"Now where is this puta. Sniff him out, Ira. Find 'im."

Following his shotgun's instincts, he slowly walked in the direction of Drall's hiding place. Obviously not knowing where he was exactly, once he reached the little set of cubicles and desks where the man was hiding, he raised his shotgun and held down the trigger. The automatic shotgun roared and spat explosions in quick succession as he raked his fire across the area, each gunshot sounding deafening in the confined space. The shells that he fired contained explosive warheads that primed in the short distance between gun and target, and detonated once they impacted any solid surface.

The entire area would be torn to complete shreds before he'd have to stop and reload or switch weapons. The miniature fragmentation grenades contained within each shotgun shell would most definitely result in some form of injury unless he moved.
