Name: Akira Jin or as he is more simply known as One Arm Jin
Age: 29
Gender: Male
Physical Description:
Jin stands at about 5'8", his hair is like most of his country's people black and he keeps it in a short unkempt ponytail that even the most generous of viewers would say is rough looking. He has an open face usually marked with a small smile and a pair of relaxed dark brown eyes. His jaw and mouth are lined with black stubble that he shaves irregularly at best. He wears a simple Hakama the colors alternating between black and white, having not taking his armor with him because at this point it would of just slow him down too much, and tops it off with a simple sugegasa on his head to keep the light out of his eyes . The clothes are wrinkled and look like they are washed.. occasionally but it does not seem to be a high priority on his list. His teeth are slightly crooked matched with a slight overbite but nothing too drastic. Though the most defining thing about the man would be the fact that he is missing his right arm. Nobody knows for certain how it happened and Jin won't tell but for as long as most people have known him since he came back, the man has been missing the arm. As a result his ties the right hand sleeve of his Hakama up into a knot to prevent it from whipping about and getting caught on things.

History:
The Akira family has been serving the Raremashita Clan as faithful warriors for as long as anybody can reminder. Turns out Jin is really no different expect that he want about it in a roundabout way. As a young child he disappointed his father greatly, being a weak kid who could barely hold aloft his bokken let alone hit it, while his brothers excelled in combat and the rest. His father a proud man was angry at his disappointment of a son and his failure as a warrior to raise another strong swordsmen. So in his rage he disowned the boy and chased him away from the Raremashita castle one summer's night. Jin was around eight years old at the time of this. Jin determined to prove them all wrong set off on a sort of personal quest of his to become stronger. He would spend the the next 12 years wandering the countryside practicing his swordsmanship, going from sword school to sword school and town to town always looking for a place to stay and food to eat. He would usually earn it by doing menial labor, chopping wood, cleaning clothes and the rest for innkeepers and the rest. He would occasionally get in fights where he would test his skills in actual combat and slowly overtime he became stronger, better, faster. This hard way of life teaching him more grounded values about the ways of life and putting away any grandor or respect that he felt he may have deserved being the son of a samurai.
Eventually though he heard of the news of his father's passing when he was twenty. He decided that it was time to return home, to pay respects to a man who having not loved him, Jin could still respect what he stood for. When he returned to Raremashita he was a changed man, the first thing people noticed was that along the way Jin had lost a part of himself... rather literally. But beside this amputation he was different he was stronger and faster. He easily beat his older brothers in a duel by himself quickly earning their respect and pride as their little brother had lost his old self and found a warrior instead. Jin would end becoming a sort of folk tale people talked about the one armed swordsmen of Raremashita, the samurai who came back etc. In all honestly though Jin found it sort of bothersome and spent most of his time away from the castle living alone out in the woods, dealing with bandits and illegal hunters as they came. But as the Raremashita enemies drew in Jin was called back to the castle to help protect his lord in time of need.
His brothers would end up dying in the siege and with Jin being the the Akira warrior standing, the dying lord appointed Jin to help escort the dying lord's child to safety. Jin was less than happy to be acting as a babysitter but orders were orders and so they say the rest is history.
Psychological Profile:
Jin is the most relaxed one armed death machine that most people could think of, he is not the type to get flustered or bothered about most things. The juxtaposition between how much he yawns and how much he sleeps (read he sleeps alot.) one would think that this sleepy, lackadaisical man was little more than a fool with a sword. In actually his wandering in his youth had tempered him with peasant sentiments rather than that of the strict and rigid samurai. He enjoys life because he knows how short it can be and so grasping it by the horns is better than dodging it because you're scared. Not believing himself to be all that awesome or anything like that he does not flaunt himself and does not try and to put on airs and impress those around him. In a way it's kind of a relief because you know exactly what you are going to get with Jin all the time, he's straightforward and honest not finding a reason or the energy to lie. Yet at this same time his time the blunt honesty he developed over his travels and the way he will openly call out bullshit and drink and do whatever he does without shame or thinking of his actions can put him off towards some. Honestly though he's a pretty good guy to have as an ally most of the time.

Skillset:
- Quick Steel- Lacking the ability to use powerful two handed swings to break through an enemy's guard, Jin instead has taking from many different sword styles has has encountered over the years and adapted them to suit his own particular needs of hitting hard and hitting fast.
- Foot Fighter- Having Trained heavily with using his feet as weapons, he uses a technique of fighting that today would look like an odd mixture of kickboxing and taekkyeon. The range, flexibility and strength in his legs is almost astonishing sight.
- Combat Pragmatist- Jin likes having every advantage that he can in battle if it means getting out on the other side still breathing. Sure it's not that honorable but Jin never really cared about honor that much. He is willing to fight dirty to win and has a few tricks up his sleeve.
- Wanderer- Jin has spent quite the time walking the earth as they say traveling and what not. Because of this he knows his way around the country fairly well and his outdoor survival skills are really nothing to scoff at either.

Equipment/Weapons:
- Katana: Jin's katana is specially made and an experienced swordsman who lifts it will find that the weighting on the blade is rather odd. This is not a mistake but rather a choice the weighting of the blade designed specifically for Jin's one armed style. The sword's Koshirae is simple and black reinforced so it can be used as a bludgeoning tool as needed.
- Wakizashi: Jin like most swordsman also carries a wakizashi with his Katana for more short ranged engagements and close quarters to two together making a daisho pair. The weapon as a result is very similar to the Katana both in make and heft.
- Pouch: A small drawstring pouch used to keep everything from money, to rocks, or anything else that Jin may need to be carried in small numbers.
