Stepping out of the caddy Chasity slipped her tinted sun glasses up her nose and reached up to pull the brim of her hat down a bit further.

Looking over the top of the gleaming car she could just make out the little flags of the racetrack flapping in the brisk breeze. Race day was always something to look forward to. But this time she was alone for the most part.

Normally Walter, Henry, and Joseph escorted her. If not all three then certainly one or two. But today through a series of miscommunications and ‘business’ that needed immediate attending to Ms. Adler was driven to the track and would be sitting alone in their box.

This change did not go unnoticed by a select few. A photographer in the crowds near the entrance peered through his camera and turned the focus until Chasity Adler, alone and statue esc , was filling up the entirety of the shot. Pressing down on the button he snapped the photo and looked up over his camera to study Ms. Adler.

If Chasity Prudence Adler was uncomfortable with this arrangement the feelings of unease were hidden behind those tinted glasses and her harlot red lipstick. Rearranging her grip on her purse she closed the caddy’s door and stepped up to the entrance to the racetrack.

Quickly and with little to no fuss she was shown to the Adler’s private box. It was close enough to have a good view but not so close that her dress would get dusty from the horses rushing past. It was a fairly warm day and Chasity was glad for the shade her hat provided.
