Located in a small town within the state of Utah, Olympus Academy purpose is to guide and protect the Demigods - children of the Greek Gods and Goddesses. It does that by teaching and helping these teens and young adults to know their gifts bestowed upon them by their parents as well as teaching them how to use them properly. Not only do the professors train them to increase the potency of their powers, they also bestow knowledge of the martial arts and history on their parnts so that, when they leave, they will be well-rounded warriors. It is so that, when they leave, they will be able to defend themselves from any foe that tries to come after them as well as understand why.
The campus of Olympus Academy is large. It not houses a University-size campus, but it also houses several hundred Demigods with a few apartment buildings, several different gallerias that have shops and stores alike. There are hangouts such as Gyms, Cafes, Restaurants, music stores, book stores - pretty much anything one could think of that a teenager or young adult would want, the academy has it. Even as impressive at it is, that is not the largest thing within Olympus Academy. Surrounding its entirety is a vast forest that houses some of the most dangerous creatures - mythological or otherwise. As if that wasn’t bad enough, the entire campus(forest included) is surrounded by such a powerful barrier that, the only ones with the knowledge to get past it are the staff and a few choice students(more if they are up to no good). Like, there are ways to get past it, but those are against the rules.
As most of the students consist of teenagers (15-19) and young adults(20-24), it should stand to reason that the classes of the class are divided into two parts: Demigod Studies and Normal Studies. Within the Demigod Studies, there are the following classes: Power Usage and Control, Greek Mythology, Battle Strategy, and Physical Training. On the normal side of things, there are a vast variety of subject; here are a few examples: English, Math, Sciences, PE, Electives(Art, Music, ectect), History(American, World, and Economics), PE(and a step up, Weight Training).
Despite it being a school for the Demigods, Olympus Academy has all the drama that is in any other high school. With every single Demigod having one parent who has probably wronged - or been wronged - by more than one god or goddess, there is bound to be a whole bunch of confrontations. With teenagers and young adults being the main source of the attendence, it’s not out of the question to see violence, drugs, and probably the most common thing, alcohol. The staff aren’t prone to the drama either. They are, after all, adults themselves - and all adults need some kind of drama in their life, even if they should set an example for the students.

Out Of Character;
First off, I would like to thank those of you who have decided to check out the RP. This is not going to be a first-come, first-serve roleplay, so please note that there will no “May I reserve a slot?” This RP is of High Casual standards. As such, I expect at least two paragraphs of non-dialogue. If you feel that you cannot meet these standards, then I am sorry to be the one to tell you then, but this roleplay might not be for you. The roleplay will be character-driven. There is plot, but for the most part, we got a character-driven format.
Despite it’s obvious ties to the Percy Jackson series, this has no ties to its universe or its canon. It is simply a RP about the children of the Greek Gods and Goddesses. You may mention the Half-Blood series in its book form, but aside that, it has no ties to our canon. Speaking of the Greek Gods and Goddesses, only the original ones. So, that means no made-up ones. Sorry.

Rules;
- Respect. This the most important rule of the roleplay. Respect my rules, decisions and roleplay. I am the GM, so please try to respect that.
- Have fun. Please have fun when it comes to discussing ideas, creating your character and writing your in character posts. Writing is all about fun and not to be taken seriously.
- Regarding Powerplaying, Godmodding, and Metagaming: I will allow mild-powerplaying only cause, when fights occur ICly, it's pretty boring to just "leave it open". That's why, there can be mild powerplaying. Godmodding will only happen in two instances: 1.)things need to be moved along; 2.) with a player's permission. As for metagaming, not a chance, bucko.
- Characters. Make them realistic. Demigods have flaws too. I want to see well thought out characters, please. I am allowing you to play multiple characters. Make as many characters as you can handle but three is the limit.
- Character Sheets. The Character Sheet is placed within the Character Tab. To prove you have read the rules, in the Extra section of the character sheet, put your favorite God or Goddess. I want to see detail within your character sheets. Only realistic images, please. No anime or illustrations.
- PG-13. Romance is allowed, in fact, it's encouraged but when the clothes start to come off, either fade to black or take it to PM. Swearing is allowed but keep it to a minimum.
- Gender & God Ratio. Please keep the gender ratio, god and goddess ratio even. If you see at least two people already pick Zeus or Aphrodite then please choose another God and Goddess.
- No Duplicate Slots of the same child of the gods/goddesses, what this means is that, if you already have, let's say, a son of Zeus character, you may not apply for another son of Zeus or daughter of Zeus. This is to ensure a certain kind of equality and fairness for everyone who wishes to apply.
- Posting. This is a High Casual roleplay so I expect to see at least two good paragraphs from every single writer. I understand writer's block but do not drop to one paragraph. No one liners or two liners! If your character and another character is going to be in a long conversation, please get together and do a collab post.
