Used to have a big problem with it (Not bothered by it, just don't know how smut works in a play-by-post RP) Until i found there exist a D&D supplement book called "Book of Erotic Fantasy" admittedly it goes into more then just sex despite its name (It even has few new player classes on chapter 3) it also NSFW so if you end up finding it be sure to keep it out of children's reach

Once. In this one RP I sorta got roped into smut stuff. I sorta half assed it on my part, but I can see why some people do it. I don't see explaining how the one part diddled the other part is important to the plot though. I think a simple fade to black really does the trick better. Less awkward for those around you, streamlined and fluid with the writing, and sometimes can come off rather comical if you do it that way.

However I do believe there is place for sex and sensual behaviors in character/ romance development. Passion can be a very strong reason for character motives during a story.

Of course though if fiddling with diddles and doo-das is really your fancy you should still be technically able to live that out in PMs.

I honestly don't care if that stuff is involved or not, but I would appreciate it if the person I was rp'ing with gave a heads up and I probably wouldn't like to get too detailed because...well, that's just awkward

But I think fade-to-blacks are usually the best course of action in big group RPs. If it's a 1x1, well, I don't participate in 1x1s solely focused on smut, so that's no problem for me
