Robin does need an older woman to ogle.

I mean....Brotherhood of Evil would be neat.

Have you ever SEEN Mob Boss Helena?

Damien Robin would like her. The rest...would probably be unnerved by her.

May dust off Mob Boss Helena.

I was always a little bummed off Gods Among Us didn't last long enough for you to do anything with her. I really liked that sheet.

I'm sure Jason Todd wouldn't despise her. His rule is pretty much "Don't deal drugs to children."

I'm just trying to think how you'd work a MB Helena only four years into Batman (and probably two or three since The Bertinelli Family was whacked). Though, I do have a Helena CS in my archives as well. ;)

If you do go through with Helena, what if I edit my CS with Tracy Lawless and have him work as an enforcer for her?

I remember when Eddie did Carol Danvers as a Green Lantern when I was running Iron Lantern in a SU game; it’s a great character and certainly works fundamentally. Though it does kind of leave the Ms Marvel legacy in questionable territory but that’s just me thinking out loud. I’m curious why you went with the handicapping injury as well as far as I recall that this would be a new dynamic for the character- I am not against it though if my curiosity makes it seem like such. This seems like an interesting take, though I find the “I’m not going to mention much about the other lantern corps” a bit odd, but I understand not wanting to be boxed in.

I think I would want (not demand) a Carol Danvers player to incorporate some Captain Marvel dynamics in the lore somewhere though (like when Eddie made Green Lanter Mar-Vell crash on Earth or when @Bounce fused Shazam and Captain Marvel lore together).

I was in an explorative mood. I've never written a differently abled character before and it occurred to me that they are criminally underrepresented and in those instances in which they are present are overwhelmingly male. I thought it would be an interesting challenge to write a female character that has dealt with (and continues to deal with) being differently abled because it's something that's not often explored. The impact it has on how a woman sees herself and her femininity in light of that are all pretty interesting. At least I think so.

If you'd prefer I could make it Mar-Vell that crashed to Earth as Eddie did, as opposed to Abin Sur, because I can't imagine I'll touch on the Captain Marvel side of things much elsewhere.

Tracy Lawless (From Ed Brubaker and Sean Phillips' Icon series Criminal)

But how long will the noir last? HOW LONG?

Jokes aside, I doubt we'll have a problem or face a competing app for the character. Though would you be merging the Central City in this series with the one The Flash protects for amalgamations sake?

God I sucked at Steph-Batgirl...

So was I. <3

That and I ADORED the Kara I got to write for that game.

OK. Todd would probably like her. At least, Huntress her.

Easy. The Bertinelli massacre doesn't have to be tied to Bruce/Batman, and never really was? I'd just have it happen earlier, maybe shortly after Bruce's own tragedy. Could argue once the Waynes are killed, dominoes start to fall all over Gotham. The rest depends on what's left of the Mob at this point in the game.

I'll probably go Mob Boss Helena.

If only because if I go 'dark' Wanda...I might crush on my own character.

See that’d add a few inconsistencies and plotholes to how I setup the Gotham Crime Families. Until Batman takes out Falcone in 2001 there was a “order” in place and all of the families left each other alone. After Falcone’s incarceration the dominoes fall and Maroni, Mandragora, Valestra, etc. all sort of scramble between infighting and Batman’s war on crime. So realistically by that point it would need to be 2002 when the Bertinelli’s get whacked if we went that route.

I mean a lot can happen in 3-4 years, sure, and I hate putting that box around things but the Gotham Crime setup is very important to my Batman stories and development.

Personally I’m for making characters something radically that they weren’t (this is why I argued with Drew when he wanted to take Blade’s ethnicity away and make him white) though it wouldn’t be fair to enforce my personal misgivings on everyone else. I would trust you to make an interest story out of it, even though I prefer my Carol with legs and all of the uber-Marvel connections and references.

Curious if Carol was in the runnings to join SHIELD’s Blackhawks before her accident in your version. Hm.

If Ruby goes forward with Helena, I'll just transport him to Gotham and edit his backstory accordingly.

And if her father violated that order for his family's gain? Same result, I'd have to imagine.

Then it would’ve violated the entire peace agreement of the crime families and caused infighting all over the board before Batman even got to work which would be counter-intuitive to Batman's Year Zero and Year One. Besides even if you play out that Franco was a shifty mobster he would’ve been smart enough to not ruin a ceasefire that was good for business. I’m trying to think of a way that would work feasibly but I’m running into blocks.

Nah, I think he would've been exactly that dumb. And no block, if he was that dumb.

Solved it. ^_^

I wrote a Matt Murdock that wasn't blind for two thirds of my run over on the Hype that was passably believable. What are a few legs compared to that?

Again, if he was that dumb it would be contradictory to Batman’s formative years and the way I set up the crime families. So I don’t see it being able to work. Give me a few hours and I'll try to think of a way to make it work, I WANT to be cooperative with what YOU want to do. As a GM it's my responsibility to TRY.

Oi. You would do this to me.

This is why I am busy writing a CS for the man who will be Carol's one true nemesis:

Don't kill yourself over it. lol

I probably DON'T need a second character. Especially a second DC character. I just love that version of Helena insanely much.

I could always try to do a Dawn. I've always wanted to try to fit her into a comic game.
