Madison Li

Location: The Entrance of the Great Hall.
Interacting With: No one currently.

It took her about a whole two hours to get ready for the ball. Most people just zipped and zapped their clothes on and made themselves look pretty but she took the traditional approach and did it herself. Madison reviewed herself over in the mirror and sighed as she hoped whoever her date was liked the way she looked tonight. She had multiple decisions to make from people that had asked her and she would've immediately said yes to Thomas but wanted to keep her options open for whomever.

She walked out of the Hufflepuff's Common Room and walked down the stairs as she heard people muttering about what was wearing. She had on a evening gown that was blown out from the waist down and golden in color. She wore a pair of white heels and had her raven colored locks of hair ruffling down to the top of her shoulders in curls.

Madison stood at the entrance of the Great Hall now and eyed the inside as people were dancing, most lounging around the refreshment and others have not even shown up yet as the ball was just beginning. She started pacing from side to side as she didn't want to enter the premises alone. She dreamed of walking into the ball arm and arm with her date and if she was walk in alone during her last year, she wouldn't know how to feel.

She stopped pacing and sighed while standing still as she twiddled her hands together and just waited for someone to walk her in. Preferably Thomas but anyone would do right about now.

Leaning against the stone wall that wrapped around the corners and turns of the school, trying his hardest to blend into its brick and mortar, Zeke could conjure at least ten different things he wished he could be doing otherwise. He eyed his surroundings warily. The Hall seemed to him to be pulsing, riding on a gyrating wave of dance and music that heaved like the skyward chest of a sleeping troll. It was enough to make him feel stuffy in his coat, but he reckoned the Hall wasn’t even filled to maximum capacity yet. With one hand buried deep in the pocket of his black trousers, Zeke tugged at the silver bowtie, complete with matching vest. It was practically a silk choker. He had no idea how his mother had had the foresight to pack his formal getup in his trunk without his knowledge, but because of it Zeke hadn’t been able to slip out of the ball under the excuse of having nothing to wear.

He had written to his mother about that, but she had only replied with a laugh in her inked words: Of course I knew. Besides, I figured you should wear something nice at least once this semester. Now, don’t forget to send pictures. And don’t think to pretend to forget. Your memory isn’t quite as atrocious as you make it out to be whenever I ask you to do the chores.

Love you, Mother.

Looking down at the polished dress shoes that had replaced his feet, Zeke smiled to himself the smallest of smiles, disappearing promptly enough when he raised his head to the crowd once more. He checked his wristwatch, seeing how time a relative concept was simply not moving in his favour now. Propping one heel against the wall behind him, he leaned heavily into a slant. It would be nothing short of a long night. Perhaps he would sneak off later, once the crowd grows to inexplicable proportions. But for now, Zeke settled in to watch the dancing couples and laughing friends.

Elize Vanzant

Location: Room / Great Hall
Interactions: None

Elize had slunk into her dress, pulling the real satin creation onto her body and fastening the collar of it and taping the front in place so as to ensure that no faux pas were made during the night. For Gregory's sake she put on a set of much smaller heels than the ones that she generally wore. She put on only a light layer of make up on most of her face, deciding on going for a sultry evening look. She felt that was the most appropriate. She only glazed her full lips so they glistened softly but didn't look like they had gloss caked on them.

Once she had finished her make up and set it with a spray so that the makeup would stay intact all night. She soon began work on the most complicated part of the outfit, her long auburn hair. She was quite sure that it was a little over the top as far as complexity but she was sure Gregory wasn't going to know or complain. If anyone said anything they could stuff it because she could be quite vain about her long hair. It was done in a complex and curly updo that kept most of her hair from her face and showed off her elegant bone structure, the rest of it fell down her back in massive curls.

She checked everything one last time and secured her hair with the last of the decorative pins. Elize bent softly to pat her Serval on the head, "Wish me well Persia. There are too many mistakes to make here." She moved easily out the door and shut it behind her so Persia would not wander away while she was gone to the ball. It was a quick walk for the most part and she waited where she and Gregory had agreed to meet so that they could walk into the ball together.
