Sophia appeared outside her door, wearing a long evening gown that accentuated her beautiful body. It had been four days, two consumed by work and two more to rest and replenish her health. Approaching Dorian's closed office door, she slipped an envelope that contained a sweet greeting and payment for the next three months at the tavern. It was included payment for the installment of new light fixtures in her room. She was ready for a change and wanted to redecorate her room. Pausing, her bright green eyes stared at the door, but she didn't knock. She was tempted to just charge right in to check on him, but decided against it. He seemed to have made it clear that he was the owner and she the patron....nothing else. Turning, she waltzed down the hallway and descended from the stairs, the small train of her black gown dragging elegantly behind her. Glancing towards the bar, she was surprised at how busy it was. Dorian must be happy with the amount of....
The staircase practically moved beneath her and she quickly grasped the railing as a commotion from below stirred. It wasn't an earthquake, but it sure felt like it. What the hell was going on below? Worry creased her brow as the commotion died and conversation returned loudly from the bar. Whatever it was, nobody seemed to really care. She cautiously took the last few steps off the stairs and walked to the bar, her nude pumps clicking softly against the floor. Approaching the bar, she smiled at Snarf and requested her usual, then politely greeted the people she knew, but found the bar was full of new patrons. After receiving her drink, she closed and payed the tab that had occurred from her generous gesture.
Green lanterns danced throughout the bar as she observed the new scenery, but paused upon a man who appeared familiar but she couldn't place him. She took a seat next to him, and offered a delicate hand to gesture a greeting. Her smooth and light-hearted voice sounded while she locked eyes with him.
"You look familiar. Have we met before?" He was....very handsome. She racked her memory, attempting to try and place him. Was he an employee?
