[Pre-Apocalyptic Setting, letting Gwen and Warren set up their backgrounds and slight plot.] ( “Dialogue.” ‘Thoughts.’ *Actions*)
Gwendolyn came home after a long night at work. A small local diner on the highway, a truck stop where she worked 8 hour night shifts. Lots of immature men cat calling all the girls there and would always ask for girls out of their section.
Gwen plopped on her old ratty couch and sighed. “I can’t wait until my next pay so I can get the hell out of here and on to the next desolate hole of filth…”
She’s never stayed in one place long enough for anyone to know her or figure her out. There are a few close friends scattered around the places she’s been. Occasionally she finds herself in the area and, to save herself the rent, she holes up with them on a couch or spare bed. She does what she can for work, usually restaurant jobs. Not much else will hire her.
She mumbles to herself, “Just another month, Gwen. You can make it another month.” And she falls asleep to the sound of rushing cars along the highway.
