I’ve been thinking about this for a while. A system of Fighting for RP’s that is more geared toward a turn based RPG. How it would work would be with these couple of stats to start off…

HP
DAMAGE
SPEED

or

Consition
Strength
Agility

Along with a few others to constitute magic or other things. The person running the fight would create more stats if needed for personal balance/ lols. Along with stats there is abilities, which there is a limit of four, but you may add more for your fight you are running if you feel like there should be more. Damaging abilities add with your base damage.

Example

MAGIC BOLT!
A Magical Bolt of Magicalness.
Range (Squares): 5
Damage: 5
Effects: None
Recharge: 3 turns/ 1action

each player gets 3 actions on their turn, which includes

moving their speed once
Fully Recharging an ability
Using an ability
Attacking someone right in front of you for base damage
Any other actions the host deems fit for a fight.

The game would include this map/ variants of it with backgrounds and stuff



you would take the map, put it into paint/photoshop, save it, then upload it to either an online art account you have or my Deviantart I made specifically for this.

A Post would kinda look like this.

I think this might belong in tabletop. Arena is mostly freeform fighting, so this kind of stat-based approach wouldn't quite fit in.

Thanks for your guy's responses. I was just trying to come up with a different angle of fighting. I will try this in table top.
