Every one knows the main story; Kirito and Asuna, and how they defeated Kayaba and saved everyone. Well, everyone who was still alive at that point. But what about the others? The people who weren't heroes, or legendary fighters, or didn't have a special skill. What happened to them? They are, after all, human beings just like Kirito. Every story deserves to be told. This is their story. This is Sword Art Online: Side Quest.
The plot will be expanded upon later. Basically, this is an OC-only SAO RP. It will start at the beginning of the anime. Finding out that there's no log out button, being summoned to the plaza, Akihiko Kayaba appearing like a goopy red Death wannabe, the ultimatum, the mirror, everything. After that... some of us go our own ways, some form groups. Some are new players, some are beta testers. Some will form guilds, some join guilds, some play solo.
The point of this is seeing SAO from the perspective of a normal person. Not like Kirito and Asuna, as heroes. Not like Klein and Agil, as secondary characters. Not like Kayaba, as the villain. But like those random people you see in the streets. Just normal people trying to stay alive as best as they can.
