Bora is an Asian girl of average height, being five foot five and weighing a healthy 123. 4 pounds. She is of Korean descent, both of her parents having been born in South Korea. The teenager prefers to keep her hair long and of a darker shade, though she will lighten her hair time to time with a dash of dyed red, and is overly concerned with her personal hygiene. Before she goes to breakfast or goes to bed, Bora performs a regiment skin care ritual on her face in order to keep it clear and soft and places protective hair products in her strands to keep it silky and shiny. When Bora was fifteen, she was diagnosed with polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) which affects her body weight and menstrual cycle. As such, Bora can only have a small amount of sugar a day and tends to obsess over the amount of calories she intakes. 

When it comes to her physical appearance, Bora treats her fashion choices with care and dons only designer brand clothes. She prefers to wear lace and cotton when it comes to her clothes and she has a predilection for dresses. Her personal style could be described as a sophisticated preppy fashion style with her trendy, simple dresses or high-waisted skirts. Bora likes jewel or peter pan necklines over any other neckline and downright refuses to wear a sweetheart neckline. Bora is careful to balance her expensive clothes with only a light amount of jewelry, usually simple earrings - her favorite are her pearl earrings - and a silver necklace with one ring on her finger. Her nails are always perfectly manicured with French tips and her makeup is more natural and light than heavy or gaudy. Bora's hair is almost always down, with the occasional bun or braid here and there. The only time she will be caught dead with a ponytail is if she is working out or sleeping. Bora loves silk and as such will only wear silk pajamas and undergarments.

Sycamore

The sycamore makes a questing wand, eager for new experience and losing brilliance if engaged in mundane activities. It is a quirk of these handsome wands that they may combust if allowed to become ‘bored,’ and many witches and wizards, settling down into middle age, are disconcerted to find their trusty wand bursting into flame in their hand as they ask it, one more time, to fetch their slippers. As may be deduced, the sycamore’s ideal owner is curious, vital and adventurous, and when paired with such an owner, it demonstrates a capacity to learn and adapt that earns it a rightful place among the world's most highly-prized wand woods.

Unicorn Hair

Unicorn hair generally produces the most consistent magic, and is least subject to fluctuations and blockages. Wands with unicorn cores are generally the most difficult to turn to the Dark Arts. They are the most faithful of all wands, and usually remain strongly attached to their first owner, irrespective of whether he or she was an accomplished witch or wizard.

Minor disadvantages of unicorn hair are that they do not make the most powerful wands (although the wand wood may compensate) and that they are prone to melancholy if seriously mishandled, meaning that the hair may 'die' and need replacing.

P E R S O N A L I T Y
Many claim they hate Bora, even though they don’t know her. When asked why, they provide the typical answers: arrogant, spoiled, shallow, stupid. Some of these traits are important pieces of Bora’s personality, but a great deal of them aren’t. 

There’s no point in lying and saying that Bora is not shallow – when it comes to material items, Bora is as shallow as they come. She has an inner need for things to look visually perfect: pristine clothes, silky hair, organized pencils. Money helps her buy items that make her world visually perfect: Gucci, Prada, Versace. Bora wants to look, and feel, her best and so she has a tendency to see others that don’t look their best as a) insecure, b) lazy, or c) clueless – but never ugly. Furthermore, it is not much of a stretch to say that Bora is spoiled. At a certain point, she stopped asking her parents for something and just got it with her credit card (“muggles truly are resourceful and creative”). Worse still, Bora is the type of girl that when she wants something, she will get it and she is thoughtless in that she never thinks of how her ambitious and indulging will affect her later on or others. As such, people see her as careless and childish rather than the sophisticated, careful woman she emulates to be. Her playful nature and emotional outbursts furthers others' opinion of her as immature and juvenile. Adding to her shallow and superficial image, Bora is hot-tempered and, when she believes she is wronged, will hold lifelong grudges, even if it is over something completely petty.

However, Bora is not without her virtues. She possesses a light character, playful and with a odd and soft sense of humor that is oddly endearing to others. When she begins something, Bora throws her whole self into it, showing an admirable dedication to her endeavors. And though people oft question her placement in Warren, her unwavering intelligence and devotion to the truth is clearly the reason for her appointment. She is very hard-working and friendly, with an ambitious arm reaching for anything she can get her hands on - though most of her goals involve her ability with transfiguration. Bora is friendly and always tries to include everybody; she also retains a refreshing, liberal open mind that leads her to fighting for what she believes is right in the world. Though Bora has an open-mind, having been raised by her traditional pure-blooded family, Bora does see magical creatures as different from wizards, thinking that it is the wizards duty to take care of them – though she mistakes “taking care of” with “oppressing.” Plus, Bora is rather smart and studious, enjoying learning about the world and sees schooling as fun rather than a prison - though she hates homework and tests with a passion.

When it comes to herself, Bora is a rather private person and prefers to keep her thoughts unknown. She doesn’t like being an open book, it makes her feel rather exposed, and so she tends to keep her feelings to herself. However, Bora has no problem expressing her confidence. She understands she is pretty and is secure in her appearance and intelligence – she doesn’t take other people’s words to heart and though she will react negatively to insults, it won’t affect her in the long run. Overall, Bora is an optimistic girl that, in some ways exactly as how people think, but in others completely different.

H I S T O R Y
Bora Song was the second child born to Jay and Ji-yeon Song and the older twin of Duri Song. While she is completely of Korean descent, she only lived permanently in Korea when she was little. When her father was in his teens, his older sister having already been of age, the Song family migrated to America in hopes that they could find a better political standing there rather than the infamous, yet uninfluential, prominence that the Song family held in Korea. At Salem, Jay was sorted into Warren and made a name for himself with his ambition. However, upon graduation, Jay went to Korea in order to reconnect with his heritage. In Korea, Jay met the small farm girl Ji-yeon, a herbologist with a passion for nature and an adamant pacifist. He was immediately smitten and, within a year, they were married and living in Korea. Jay’s marriage to a small, unknown girl shocked the family and fellow friends, considering the elitist personality of the Song clan. Jay helped Ji-yeon start up a small business in Ellicot, Maryland while he began to rise in ranks in the Republic of Magic.

Soon, Ji-yeon gave birth to her first son: Geun. Afterwards came Bora and Duri. Life was pretty simple for them during their childhood: Ji-yeon would take them out to the garden and show them the herbs. Jay had always been distant to the family, because of work, but he particularly doted on Geun. Late at night, when he would get home, he’d tell Geun all about how he would succeed his legacy one and he was working for him. Whenever it came time for Geun to receive his Salem letter – well, it never came. Turns out, Geun was a squib. It was a scandal for the family among the pureblood community and caused a lot of inner conflict. The Song Clan blamed Ji-yeon halfblood status for corrupting Geun’s magic and Geun himself was a bit of a pariah. Their father, Jay, obviously struggled with the revelation and afterwards, Geun’s and Jay’s relationship became very rocky and they were no longer close. Ji-yeon, of course, stayed by her son and even threatened to divorce Jay and take her three children away if the animosity didn’t stop. Though there was still animosity, it became muted after that and was more behind-the-back. Ji-yeon enrolled Geun in a muggle school and even began to indulge herself in muggle devices in order to connect more with Geun.

Despite his squib status, Bora and Geun were still on good terms. Matter of fact, they became closer afterwards. Bora was quite interested in muggles and wanted to learn more – then she became obsessed with muggle fashion. Geun would buy her muggle magazines and show her music. When Bora received her Salem letter, she felt awkward and guilty around Geun and still does. She tries to avoid mentioning life at Salem to him – but sometimes she just has to!

The summer after she came home from her first year, Bora was up late, wandering around the house looking for her cat (who had stolen her silk pajamas) when she overheard voices in her father’s office. Bora knew it was wrong, but she eavesdropped and overheard her father yelling and Geun – calling him horrible names out of anger and telling him that he couldn’t go to muggle school anymore. Geun protested and she heard a loud bang – afraid of getting caught, Bora ran to her room. The next day, Geun sported a bruise under his eye. Bora made sure to keep close eye on Geun and Jay, but there never seemed to be an altercation after it. Thereafter, Bora began avoiding her father and snubbing him whenever he came by or tried to talk to him. However, when he got angry at a particularly flippant remark she made, Bora confronted him about it and has since been on bad terms with him. Geun knows about her animosity, but does not know why.

Other than that, Bora’s life has been pretty simple and not much has happened.

The Song Family is mainly known for their inherited money and Jay Song’s domination in politics. It has been speculated that Jay will be running for president – though Jay has turned this down. They live a very public life due to Jay’s frequent promotion of his and his family’s image as well as his sister being known in politics as well. They live in a sweet ass estate in Maryland.

45||Jay Song – Father:Jay Song is from the elite Song Clan that immigrated to America from South Korea in order to gain more prominence. Though he is very prejudice that does not mean he is inhumane. He does not support radicals like Voldemort or Grindelwald, but prefers a leniency in regards to politics. Despite loving his kids very much, he is distant from them and tends to not give them the time of day because he is obsessed with leaving a legacy. Jay and his eldest son, Geun, have an estranged relationship due to Geun being a squib and his involvement in the muggle world. Jay Song might also have a bit of an anger problem.

41||Ji-yeon Song – Mother:
Ji-yeon was born in South Korea and lived their mainly. While she was a witch, she was, in fact, a halfblood. When Jay married her, it caused a stir in the family because of her blood status. In order to hide the dirtying of their blood status, the Song family claimed she was, in fact, pureblood but from a small pureblood family. For a long time, she was not accepted in the family. Opposite of her husband, Ji-yeon supports the more liberal side of politics and wants emancipation and equal rights for magical creatures. However, she disagrees with TWK’s idea of exposure to muggles because of the history.

18||Geun Song – Eldest Brother:
Geun is the first son of Ji-yeon and Jay. He was born a squib, without magic, and as such has not had an easy life in regards to his family. Many of his grandparents insult him behind his back and his father is not discreet in showing his disappointment. However, his mother has always been by his side, cheering him on and even threatening to leave his father in order to protect him. He attended a muggle school and has recently graduated. He had plans to go to culinary school, however he has been meeting obstacles in the form of his father who does not want him gallivanting around with muggles anymore, especially with the raised tension.

F A M I L I A R

Ramyeon is a female cat, often mistaken as a chimera, though, in reality, Ramyeon is much more likely to be a calico. Ramyeon was once named Eopsin, but after gobbling up Bora’s ramyeon while she was in the bathroom, the cat has been renamed. Ramyeon loves catnip and noodles of any sorts and will often eat the noodles straight from a person’s bowl when they’re right there. However, the oddest thing about Ramyeon is her kleptomaniac tendencies. At night, Ramyeon goes on the prowl in the neighborhood or dorms and steals odd items that she finds, bringing them back and storing them under Bora’s bed. She has stolen a sponge before as well as underwear, clothing of all sorts, a stuffed animal in first year, and even the comforter off of a sleeping student (though she abandoned it shortly after because of its weight). Ramyeon doesn’t like strangers touching her, but is rather affectionate towards Bora…unless Bora isn’t sharing her noodles, in which Ramyeon will take to pushing things over and biting. Before closing any doors, Bora often has to check on the top of the opened door as Ramyeon likes to perch there.

 Duri is an Asian boy that stands at five foot ten, five inches taller than his twin sister, and weighs a healthy 150 pounds. He is of Korean descent, both of his parents having been born in South Korea. Duri prefers to keep his hair short in the back and longer in the front and has a tendency to wear guyliner and earrings. He likes to switch up his hair color time to time, but most of the time it is black. He performs the same regiment skin care ritual that his sister, Bora performs in order to keep his skin smooth and soft, like a baby. Many people think of him as effeminate, but he rejects the notion and particularly likes it when his masculinity is complimented on. He has a habit of sniffling here and there for no reason and he catches colds relatively easily.

When it comes to clothes, Duri likes to wear designer just like his sister does. However, while she prefers pink lace dresses and peter pan collars, Duri enjoys a more casual street fashion consisting of hoodies and t-shirts with jeans and chains. He is liberal with his jewelry and is often decorated in rings and necklaces and earrings and bracelets. He tends to wear dark, simple colors rather than overly bright or pastel. His fingernails are neatly trimmed and he’s known for having overly bright teeth. When he is sleeping, Duri wears either boxer shorts – but he most commonly dons animal-styled baggy onesies. The teenager has an assortment of them and actively collects them – his most common one to wear is the monkey one he owns.

Applewood

Applewood wands are not made in great numbers. They are powerful and best suited to an owner of high aims and ideals, as this wood mixes poorly with Dark magic. It is said that the possessor of an apple wand will be well-loved and long-lived, and I have often noticed that customers of great personal charm find their perfect match in an applewood wand. An unusual ability to converse with other magical beings in their native tongues is often found among apple wand owners, who include the celebrated author of Merpeople: A Comprehensive Guide to Their Language and Customs, Dylan Marwood.

Phoenix Feather

This is the rarest core type. Phoenix feathers are capable of the greatest range of magic, though they may take longer than either unicorn or dragon cores to reveal this. They show the most initiative, sometimes acting of their own accord, a quality that many witches and wizards dislike.

Phoenix feather wands are always the pickiest when it comes to potential owners, for the creature from which they are taken is one of the most independent and detached in the world. These wands are the hardest to tame and to personalize, and their allegiance is usually hard won.

P E R S O N A L I T Y
In order to understand Duri, his confidence should be the first subject touched upon. When people see Duri, strutting in with a charming smirk and a designer hoodie, they typically swoon. Duri knows they swoon and smiles when it happens. If someone flirts with him, he’ll flirt back, and revels slightly in the attention. However, his reciprocation often leads to others seeing him as arrogant or as a player – when in reality, it isn’t true. Though many people don’t see it, Duri is actually very insecure – not so much in his appearance, though he does think he is less attractive than other guys – his insecurity really lies in his personality and his skills.

Truth be told, he is very aware of his flaws and is afraid it will drive people away. He never takes anything, or anyone, seriously and sees life as a joke or a game to be played. Furthermore, he has a hard time remembering other people’s feelings – try as he might – and often says something insensitive or straight-up insulting – though it is usually said in jest. Plus, he’s just straight-up careless sometimes! Not insincerely, but his lack of forethought and afterthought leads to many potentially dangerous situations. He’s unfocused and hyperactive, hardly able to sit still or listen long enough, and can be very hard to handle sometimes when he’s excited. 

In order to appeal to other people, Duri tries to pass off as a happy, optimist. But, in reality, he’s pessimistic and tends to think the worse of people. He often expects people to leave his side for the stupidest of reasons. To add onto this, he pretends that he doesn’t care about anything so if he messes up, it is less embarrassing. In all actuality, he’s hard-working like his sister and spends most of his time building up his dancing and singing skills, things which he are very insecure about and will only do when he believes he has perfected them. Even then, however, he still doesn’t think he has perfected it and is very critical of himself. His criticalness leads to easily pent-up frustration and Duri often cries – when no one is around – because of it. Duri expects himself to be good, and wants to be good so much, that when he doesn’t meet his expectations, he tends to get angry and annoyed with himself and beats himself up about it. 

However, the true Duri is rather cute. He’s outgoing and playful – he isn’t afraid to make himself look stupid for the sake of others’ laughs and likes it most when he makes other people happy. He can be rather witty – though in an unconventional, punny way rather than with sarcasm. Though he flirts easily with people, when he is around a particular girl he likes, or he thinks their feelings for him are genuine, he gets flustered and nervous and often can’t speak around them (and it’s rather obvious too). The idea of someone genuinely having feelings for him makes him warm inside and he really wants other people’s love. 

Though his grades don’t echo it, Duri is incredibly smart and is a perfectionist. Everything has to be perfect for him, and he strives for it. His room is typically neat – except for his clothes which he always hangs on his bed rather than putting in his drawers for easy access – and loves organization. Chaos often confuses him more than anything else, and so he’ll often get confused by teachers if they don’t teach in an orderly, chronological order.

This made Duri feel very uncomfortable, as he had no desire to follow in his father’s political footsteps but instead wished to become a famous musician. However, he indulged his father. However, Duri’s relationship with his father wasn’t always smooth sailing – when he was caught talking to a muggle girl at a convenient store (after her indulgence, Ji-yeon fell in love with muggle convenience stores) his father threw a fit and Duri was grounded. There have been other instances in which Jay controlled Duri too much, but it never got violent.

Duri still hasn’t found a way to tell his father that he wants to be a musician, or a dancer.

Despite loving his kids very much, he is distant from them and tends to not give them the time of day because he is obsessed with leaving a legacy. Jay and his eldest son, Geun, have an estranged relationship due to Geun being a squib and his involvement in the muggle world. Jay Song might also have a bit of an anger problem.

41||Ji-yeon Song – Mother:
Ji-yeon was born in South Korea and lived their mainly. While she was a witch, she was, in fact, a halfblood. When Jay married her, it caused a stir in the family because of her blood status. In order to hide the dirtying of their blood status, the Song family claimed she was, in fact, pureblood but from a small pureblood family. For a long time, she was not accepted in the family. Opposite of her husband, Ji-yeon supports the more liberal side of politics and wants emancipation and equal rights for magical creatures. However, she disagrees with TWK’s idea of exposure to muggles because of the history.

18||Geun Song – Eldest Brother:
Geun is the first son of Ji-yeon and Jay. He was born a squib, without magic, and as such has not had an easy life in regards to his family. Many of his grandparents insult him behind his back and his father is not discreet in showing his disappointment. However, his mother has always been by his side, cheering him on and even threatening to leave his father in order to protect him. He attended a muggle school and has recently graduated. He had plans to go to culinary school, however he has been meeting obstacles in the form of his father who does not want him gallivanting around with muggles anymore, especially with the raised tension.

F A M I L I A R

Jjok is Duri’s majestic female Golden Eagle. Just as she looks, Jjok acts very much like a proper lady and shows a strange fickleness when it comes to food and people. She never squawks and makes very little noise and, when looking at people, seems to be judging silently. The only time Jjok ever makes a noise is when Duri happens to make kissing noises to her in which she seems to be responding back to him in kind. She loves it when Duri cuddles her, but will bite anyone else who tries.

Lucy is known for her angelic face in her family. With refined cheekbones, that appear prominently when her small, elegant smile widens her face and her perfectly white, straight teeth that stand starkly against her soft, pink lips. Her brown eyes have a droop to them, but glitter in the sun and shine with her emotions. Her chin is wide and has a small dip in the middle, though it isn’t severe. Lucy’s long, silken tresses are a chocolate brown with a slight red tint to them – there are speculations amongst friends that the red is dye, but she has yet to comment on it – and has a natural fullness to it. Milky skin feels soft to the touch, though her fingers are calloused as well as her feet. Lucy is of average height, which is surprising to the typical stereotypers, and stands at 5’6”. Lucy prefers to wear jeans, button-ups, or sweaters – cardigans or otherwise – paired with her favorite beat-up cat-decorated vans. She doesn’t typically fuss over her appearance, except with a slight amount of lip palm and the occasional mascara. Her hair is her pride and joy when it comes to her body and she is careful to keep it healthy and luscious. Those that are close to her report that she possesses a tangy tangerine and vanilla scent because of her body wash and cheap store-bought perfume.

The overachieving Asian – an annoying stereotype that was pushed immediately upon Lucy when she arrived to America. Several times she has been accused of having overbearing parents and stress-related problems. It has never occurred to people, however, that Lucy studies and works hard of her own accord. Ever since she was little, Lucy had been ambitious – she strived for perfection and would only accept the best. Upon the ripe age of twelve, Lucy began to work in her grandmother’s restaurant in order to make money to pay for books. When she wasn’t working, she was studying hard. Lucy had dreams of going places – she didn’t want to live her life stuck behind a desk, making minimum – or even medium – wage. No, Lucy wanted to build an empire; she wanted to leave a mark on the world. While some may see her ambition as admirable, Lucy was the type that would never let anything get in the way of her dream and would go to extremes if she had to in order to stop it. 

Working as hard as she does, it is no surprise that Lucy is smart – genius, almost. Lucy has never received anything lower than an A in her life – though she almost came close to a B. Her mind tends to work a mile a minute, so it’s never really surprising when she becomes scatter-brained or forgets something or another because she’s too busy thinking of homework and her studies. Because of her love for intellect, Lucy prefers sardonic, cynical humor and sarcasm and enjoys satirical movies and TV shows (and the rare straight-up parody). Downside to her intelligence: Lucy can be manipulative when she wants to be. She never typically finds a reason to be, but she will do what she has to sometimes. Lucy is sly and sneaky when she wants to be and isn’t particularly honest all the time – though she prefers telling half-truths rather than fullblown lies. 

However, Lucy is not as rigid as many would like to think of her. In reality, Lucy is rather idiosyncratic in her passionate personality and opinionated behavior. It is not rare to see Lucy yelling to herself in public, or for her to be grumbling something under her breath. She gets really passionate about things that she cares about and her friends typically like to provoke her ire just to see her yell facts off the top of her lungs. Above all, Lucy hates being wrong and will argue till she’s dead that she’s right – even if she knows she isn’t just because she doesn’t like feeling stupid compared to others. 

Though when with her friends, Lucy tends to be rather open and loud, she’s quite shy around strangers and prefers to keep quiet rather than participate. She usually keeps a cold composure when shy, though she might hide behind her hair every now and then, and speaks formally and politely. This coldness tends to turn other people off and create preconceived notions about her such as her being a “frigid bitch” though Lucy doesn’t take it to heart often.

H I S T O R Y
Lucy never really knew her father – he supposedly died before she was born, her mom says a bungee jumping incident but her grandmother maintains that it was a robbery. Neither can really be trusted. Either way, it was sad and all, but her mother and grandma moved on eventually and now only remember fond memories. Of course, there are a couple of times growing up that Lucy walked in on Grandma crying, but those were usually when she was drunk. 

Lucy was born in Busan, South Korea a minute after her brother, Levi. There’s not much to say about her early childhood, Lucy spent it studying and reading. Though around the age of seven, Lucy gained a fascination for watching Grandma cook dinner and took it upon herself to start studying cook books (she still almost burned down the kitchen, but there was progress). When she was ten, the family relocated to Seoul, South Korea so Grandma could open a restaurant. Lucy didn’t particularly like it in Seoul – because she had a thick Satoori accent, she was often the butt of the joke of the children and so she worked really hard on adopting a Seoul accent. Lucy didn’t make many friends, except for three, because she spent most of her time alone. At the age of twelve, Lucy convinced Grandma to let her work at the restaurant and worked there most days and nights.

During her childhood, Lucy was very insecure about herself in Seoul and felt like she didn’t belong. However, whenever she became a teenager, she grew into herself and became a lot more confident in herself. Perhaps it was her newfound confidence, or maybe her newfound boobs, but Lucy was often bothered by a boy, named Duri, in her class who had a crush on her. She didn’t particularly like him like that and often was rather annoyed with him. Then, one day, she was trying to study in the park when he brought her milk and Lucy got annoyed at the distraction so she decked him in the face. They’ve been best friends ever since – and his crush on her eventually faded. Afterwards, if any other boys bothered her, Duri beat them up for her. 

A little bit after Lucy’s sixteenth birthday, her brother (then identifying as her sister) spontaneously cut off all his hair during the night and told their mother that he no longer wanted to be known as Sang-sook. Their mother reacted badly at first, grounding Levi and not letting him leave the house except for school. Lucy didn’t really understand Levi’s new transgendered identity, but accepted it either way, and it was only with her help that their mother finally allowed Levi to dress as a boy (though she still holds that it’s only a phase). Shortly afterwards, their mother met a tourist named Richard while getting drunk off of wine at a hotel. After a week of knowing each other, they legally got married.

The Kim family didn’t leave Korea right away. They waited until August before they moved to America to live with Richard. Lucy and Levi at first did not like Richard, but they have since learned to reluctantly accept him – Lucy gets along with him better than Levi does.

F A M I L Y
The Kim family has just recently moved to Verona following Lucy and Levi's mother's marriage to a tourist. The family is rather private and so not much is known about them. However, their new step-father is known throughout the town as a lawyer and a native as his family has lived there forever. They live in a relatively nice suburban house with plenty of room for them.

Jeong-ja Kim - The previously single mother of Lucy and Levi. Jeong-ja loves red wine and wearing faux fur; she can come off as materialistic and naive. She doesn't particularly care about grades, but prefers to bond with her daughter and son over appearances. Though Jeong-ja seems supportive of Levi's transgendered identity, she is convinced that it is just a phase that will go over soon.

Richard "Dick" Lewinsky - A douchebag lawyer who married Jeong-ja after meeting her in Korea while sight-seeing. Though he is, in fact, a total dickbag that never grew out of his high school varsity football personality, he can be caring when he wants to be and genuinely cares bout the Kim Family. He plans to take their last name because he doesn't want it to be hard on the children. He is also very accepting of Levi's gender identity, though he sometimes makes jokes which Levi has a hard time dealing with. 

Byung-Woo "Levi" Kim - Lucy's twin brother. Levi was born female, but identifies as a boy. Levi will sometimes dress girly in order to appease his mother, but it is very distressing to him. He has only recently come out as transgendered. Lucy and Levi are very, very close at home, but appear very distant at school.

Chun-ja "Grandma" Kim - Lucy and Levi's grandmother who is currently living with them. Chun-ja prefers for everyone to call her "Grandma," finding the American term endearing and often encourages amongst Lucy and Levi's friends. Grandma is obsessed with the American dream and often creates get rich quick schemes that she often pulls a reluctant Lucy into. Grandma often will admonish and lecture people in public and cannot speak English, much to the Verona population's ire. 

A-ya - The Kim family's cat that seems to have it out for them. She often sneaks around the house and lurks behind them and is prone to scaring the shit out of Levi (he's convinced she does it on purpose). At night, A-ya tends to pull the blankets off of people's feet and scratch the crap out of them - as a preventative, the Kim family now wears fuzzy socks (but A-ya has been practicing on taking them off). She was originally named Bora, but now only responds to A-ya because whenever she was around, the family would shout "A-ya!" (onomatopoeia word for ouch). Despite being evil, she is really good at learning tricks (from a distance) and will be nice if you have food.

Beom-soo Kwon - An aspiring musician who isn't exactly related to the Kim family, but practically was. He is the best friend of Levi (who may or may not have a crush on him) and is known for appearing very severe and serious but having a wild, jokester personality. He currently lives in Korea, but claims he wants to come eventually live with Levi and Lucy in America. He is very religious about his bucket list which he carries everywhere with him and has a daredevil attitude about it (his next objective is to smoke pot in America).

Levi is identical to Lucy – he possesses the same cheekbones and soft, pink lips. His eyes are wider than his sister and he wears glasses because of reading too much in the dark. His hair is thick and naturally curly, though he straightens it sometimes. He has the same red tint in his hair that his sister does, but denies dying it at all.  Before he identified as a boy, Levi had short hair that curled around his chin and framed his face. However, after spontaneously cutting it himself, Levi had to get his hair fixed by a hair dresser to frame his face with bangs and slightly curl around his neck. He hates having long hair and is very sensitive to the heat of it on his forehead – though his mother forbids him from getting rid of his bangs or cutting it shorter, so he keeps it that length. Often, to let his forehead cool, he’ll pull his bangs into a small ponytail. Though he is the same height of his sister, being 5’6”, Levi is skinnier than her and weaker. However, he goes to the gym more now to prove a point to Lucy. Levi takes very good care of his skin and washes it before bed and after waking up; he also sleeps in a mask sometimes. He doesn’t wear makeup, except for a little bit of eyeliner in order to make his eyelashes look shorter and his eyes seem deeper. While his sister prefers comfortable clothing, Levi likes to wear edgy clothing. As such, skinny jeans, leather jackets, and t-shirts are the norm. Because he has to appease his mother every once and a while, Levi dresses as a girl for her, but it’s obvious how uncomfortable he feels when dressed as such versus the confidence he exudes when dressed in his normal clothing. Levi smells like coffee, leather, and bananas sometimes (depending if Lucy made him soap or not).

Levi has 0-sized gauges in his ears, much to the ire of his mother. Despite having a rebellious image and having no qualms against doing illegal things, Levi is, in all actuality, a cinnamon bun. Growing up, he was known by his sister as being a crybaby and got hurt rather easily by other people’s words. He always had to rely on Lucy to take care of him when he was sad or hurt. But because of his fragile ego, Levi found it really easy to empathize with others and, as such, always made it his personal responsibility to cheer up everyone around him.

However, even though he’s really in tune with other people’s sadness and happiness, Levi is horrible at knowing other emotions and cannot read between the lines often. In this retrospect, Levi is clueless when it comes to relationships beyond friendship. Sarcasm goes over his head sometimes and he hates satire, completely opposite of his sister. Instead, he enjoys simple gag humor and loves watching Korean variety shows because of it. Furthermore, like every Anime protagonist ever, Levi is extremely clumsy. He’s the little fuck that breaks the expensive vase and has to become a male courtesan at a high school in order to pay it off. Because of his clumsiness, Levi is known as a bad luck charm amongst his friends since he breaks everything he touches.

The best part of Levi’s personality is his cheerfulness and, conversely, the most annoying part of his personality is his childishness. Levi is the type of person who could brighten up your entire day, but piss you off at the same time because he’s making some face or another. He hates responsibility and would rather push it off onto someone else – usually Lucy – and is an extreme procrastinator. If he’s annoyed or being mocked, Levi is not above making a face behind someone’s back or to stick a tongue out. And, to add to that, he’s the type of person who will continue to do something simply because he knows it annoys them. But, it’s not all bad: Levi loves to joke around and makes it his priority to make everyone laugh with his horrible jokes and spot-on improv acting. 

Because of his experiences with Beom-soo, Levi is not afraid of doing bad things and staying out late. He finds a guilty pleasure in spray painting buildings and stealing candy bars and underwear from stores. In Korea, he lived at parties, and was the “fun drunk” of the group. When it comes to morals, Levi is fine with lying and stealing, but draws a line when it gets too American Horror Story.

H I S T O R Y
There are two stories of how Levi’s father died: a bungee jumping incident (mother’s story) and a robbery (Grandma’s story). Levi never really cared to know the truth, and told both his mother and Grandma that he believed their stories – in truth, he thinks it was something completely different, like a car crash or something. 

Levi’s childhood was spent as a girl. When he moved to Seoul with his family, unlike his sister, he kept his Satoori accent which, paired with his short hair and more masculine clothes, he received a reputation for being a badass on the playground. Unfortunately, that wasn’t the case. He was far from a badass and, once the kids figured that out, bullied him relentlessly. Lucy tried to protect him every now and then, but she wasn’t around most of the time when it happened. When he was ten is when he met Beom-soo; he had gotten a particularly nasty push when Beom-soo came barreling forward, knocking the kids off their feet. And, before Levi could show his thanks, Beom-soo declared loudly that Levi owed him a kiss for defending “her” honor. Levi didn’t react fast enough and Beom-soo planted a peck on his cheek. Of course, that was the moment that Lucy arrived and Beom-soo suffered a swift kick to the balls and the twins left. Levi did not expect Beom-soo to talk to him the next day though, either. And a friendship bloomed.

Eventually, the Kim family saw Beom-soo as another member. He was always around and sometimes would inexplicably stay at their house for a week before going home (he didn’t have the best family life). Usually the twins’ mother wouldn’t like such a rebellious man hanging around her “daughters,” but Beom-soo usually was able to beat the boys away from Levi since he became increasingly popular amongst them (something about him being like “one of the guys” and being pretty? Levi never really understood it, but he was popular amongst them). However, that also meant that Levi got caught up with Beom-soo’s crowd and often spent his nights out late and getting into trouble. 

Growing up, Levi never felt comfortable in his skin and always felt…wrong somehow. He could never pinpoint why and often talked to Beom-soo about it. Beom-soo never really understood, but he supported him in everything he did. Eventually, Levi felt himself liking Beom-soo more and more and only after an intense interrogation from Lucy did Levi admit that he had a crush on Beom-soo. However, Levi felt he would never be good for Beom-soo because Beom-soo liked feminine girls.

There came a night, a little bit after Levi’s sixteenth birthday, when he was hanging out with Beom-soo and his friends when Beom-soo’s then-girlfriend made a flippant comment about Levi’s femininity. Flora works as a Drag Queen at Moriarty's at night where she entertains a rather public rivalry with May. She works there most nights, infamous for picking up guys afterwards and taking them home. While her shows are typically pretty fun and flawless, there have been a couple of times that she went up drunk and made a mess of herself (it was still fun, though).

Cosmetologist
Flora works at her own hair salon (called Hair Magic) during the day where she dyes, cuts, and talks shit. She's remarkably good, having gone to school for cosmetology and can do manicures, pedicures, and facials as well. However, her services can be a little expensive and it is very difficult to get hired at her hair salon.

A P P E A R A N C E
Flora has turned her drag into a brand. As such, she’s almost never seen out of drag because it’s become a bit of a signature of her salon. Flora isn’t particularly tall or short, rather a medium height of 5’10” with defined legs and arms. Her jaw is rather masculine, but her contouring is on point when it comes to softening it. Her natural hair color is blond and is only seen in blonde wigs or unnaturally colored wigs (mainly purple and blue). When it comes to her makeup, it’s rather heavy but on point with the swish of the eyeliner, the placement of the eyebrows and eyelashes, and the lining of the lips to make them look particularly luscious. Flora only wears designer brand shoes and is particularly finicky with her clothes – she won’t be caught looking like trash in sweatpants and ugly t-shirts in public. Her nails are always glued on and perfect, and if a toe is showing then it is painted (though she doesn’t particularly like her feet, so closed-toe heels are more common but open-toed heels aren’t uncommon). She wears light cologne and holds herself with confidence; when she walks, she doesn’t walk particularly graceful but there’s an obvious sense of pride about her.

On paper, Flora seems like a tough person to swallow. She’s known for being insensitive to others, saying whatever comes to her mind, and she enjoys a rather witty and sassy sense of humor that has caused more than a few people to cry. Whereas most people are able to read a situation and deem the appropriate thing to say, Flora reads the situation and ignores the appropriate response in turn for her judging commentary. Flora loves to talk shit above all else and holds a special place in her heart and mind for her judgement – though her judgmental nature is usually reserved for bad outfits, ugly faces, and stupid people. Furthermore, Flora is vulgar and loud – she’s not afraid to drop a swear word here and there and has gotten in trouble multiple times for particularly uncouth comments (Flora doesn’t take back what she said about Piper’s ass). The most notable problem about Flora that others complain about is her pettiness. When Flora is pissed, Flora likes to get payback and often does it in the stupidest, most underhand way (Sorry not sorry Cinderella). After Flora is done with her payback, she tends to forget all about it because what’s done is done. 

Despite all of her major misgivings, many people actually like Flora. Because, even though she insults everything and everyone and does it in the worst way possible, Flora is a fucking goodtime – and not just in the sexual way. Flora is the friend that insults and gets insulted and doesn’t make much of a fuss about it; she’s rather thick-skinned and every insult rolls off of her (unless it’s particularly annoying), so many people like to tease her and get teased by her. Not only that, but Flora is down for anything – if someone wants to go dirtbiking, Flora is the first to RSVP; if someone wants to go on a roadtrip, Flora is there to make the playlist and map the clubs they will hit. Flora even agrees to questionable adventures that may or may not end with them in jail. It doesn’t hurt that Flora is hilarious – or at least to herself she is – and makes it a point to make everyone laugh…even if it’s at the expense of someone else. 

Flora is more than she appears on the outside. Though many like to call her stupid or ignorant, Flora is rather smart and open-minded. Politics is something she enjoys and she has a tendency to read books on such political areas. Flora also likes to keep herself educated with everything going on and doesn’t tend to question others’ decisions or choices. She’s also quite sentimental and keeps thing simply as a reminder of her past; she has trouble moving on from personal experiences because of her sentimentality. When interacting with others, it should be noted that she is rather persuasive and can talk straight men into “experimenting.”

Flora hates the retelling of her life, in both Cinderella and Sleeping Beauty. In the stories, she was reduced to a fucking Yoda when she’s an Anakin Skywalker (gorgeous and the center of attention). Not only that, but she’s suddenly an old nice woman who spends her time helping poor girls out of the goodness of her heart. Fuck you, Grimm Brothers. The truth of the matter is, Flora didn’t give a rats ass about the people she helped – most Fairy Godmothers didn’t – Flora just wanted to one-up May. They had started as frenemies at one point and slowly became shady rivals – Flora can’t remember why, but she did enjoy May’s face when Flora appeared before Cinderella (sorry, Ellis) right before May was about to.

Life had started out simple enough for Flora, she fucked around mostly and half-heartedly Godmothered (it was her job, afterall). One of Flora’s favorite memories is being at a party that Maleficent crashed and cursed a kid that Flora was supposed to help – Flora had fun with that one, putting Aurora to sleep was a hilarious decision but probably not the best. However, she was rather passionate about her politics and often attended rallies. Through the rallies, Flora found a distaste for the upcoming King, Prince Charming. Around this time, there was a poor boy who needed some Fairy Godmothering and Flora rushed to get there before May did. Well, long story short, Flora may had come up with a half-baked plan (while half-baked) to make sure Prince Charming didn’t become King Charming (she hoped homophobia would be his downfall). She charmed Prince Charming to fall in love with Cinderella in order to disqualify him, perhaps, and get his younger brother in office. It didn’t really work out well, so Flora shrugged her shoulders and dropped the issue – plus she got that guy a hotass prince, so what did it matter. 

After that, Flora stayed away from the kingdom for a while, messing around with some girls and boys (and a few guys, but that was a completely different kind of messing) on the outskirts, doing the same half-assed Godmothering she was known for. However, before she had the chance to return to the kingdom to maybe fuck some more shit up, the Mystvale downfall began to happen and she soon was welcomed to Earth.

Life in Cedar Grove was pretty sweet for Flora – who refused to change her name, so she just had her new name spell out her old one. She thrived there; spending her nights as a Drag Queen (who knew she could be paid for something she liked to do to begin with) and sleeping around, and her days doing hair and talking shit about everybody. Flora doesn’t really remember Cinderella, not out of guiltily blocking the memories out, but Flora spent too much of her time fucking other lives up that it simply blended with the others (though if she were to see Ellis Seymour’s face again, she might remembers bits and pieces – she just needs some reminding).

Despite Piper's habit of speaking in rhyme - which tends to put others off - Piper is quite good in court. She prefers to think of herself as a jack-of-all-trades and will take on any case if she thinks it will benefit her; but, most often than not, she ends up dealing with divorce cases. She can be easily trusted with anyone's case, as long as you can pay her - Piper doesn't give freebies, no matter how pitiful the person, and if you can't pay her asking price at the end of the trial, she will screw you over, her reputation be damned.

Drug Dealer:
What's a lawyer without a lack of morals? Knowing the people she knows through her lawyer business, it's pretty easy for Piper to get her hands on some drugs - whether it be Essix or marijuana - and Piper will sell it to whoever comes her way for a price - she's not above giving a little to teenagers, either.

The Pied Piper was once known for being rather eccentric, in looks and personality. During those times, she had short blonde hair, dirtied and greased with mud clumping some of it together. She refused to wear a babette, which was the current fashion of women, and wore pied clothing which is most similar to the clothing of a stereotypical jester. Her pied clothing was in gold and yellow and red and was rather loose fitting around her form. Many people during those times believed her to actually be male and she didn’t particularly care on correcting them. Nowadays, long side-swept bangs have been added to equally long hair, curving around her temple smoothly and dirt is no longer smudged. She has a diamond-shaped head with a strong jaw and a slightly-pointed chin. Her eyes are small and a light blue color and a dabble of brown by the pupil. They are almond shaped and shrewd-looking, giving her a sly appearance like a fox or a snake. Her nose is pert and pointed, but her nostrils are rather wide, making her nose look slightly disproportionate to the rest of her face. Piper has thin, twisted lips, with the right side higher up than the left, and her cupid’s bow is narrow and undefined. She is rather pale and with a light pink-peach coloration that makes her look awkward when wearing yellow or other light colors, but that doesn't stop her.

She stands at 5’6” in height and is a rather healthy weight. She has a slightly wide set of hips, but the rest of her is average. Piper tends to hold herself rather oddly, idiosyncratically almost. When she moves, she moves in two ways: lazily, with languish movements and a dazed eye, though she is completely sober; or jerkily, with energetic snaps of the wrist and bouncing of the feet. But both of the ways she moves she does so gracelessly and clumsily, often causing an accident that she’s not sorry for whatsoever. Typically, Piper likes to wear expensive things – not so much because of a materialism, though her greed is undeniable, but because she has a penchant for good quality. When it comes to her clothes, she needs the softest silk, and when it comes to her jewelry, she wants to be able to blind someone with the shine. However, given her current income, Piper has settled for a different fashion – she has taken quite the liking to the new grunge fashion that has been circulation and as such is an active participator in baggy tanktops and jean shorts with tights and boots. She might even have a collection of beanies somewhere. When it comes to work, though, Piper dresses professionally in pantsuits and of the like – her favorite is a banana yellow pantsuit because it reminds her of the good ole’ days of being The Pied Piper instead of just Piper.

Life for Piper had always been about individuality and independence. The idea of being caged or controlled, like those she control with her pipe, doesn’t terrify her but pisses her off. When it comes to life, Piper enjoys doing what she wants when she wants and in this way many people see her as unpredictable, unruly, rambunctious, eccentric. She is not caged by society-conceived morality or social ideals – instead, she has her own ideals of how life should be lived and how morality should be expressed. Piper hates rules and follows none, unspoken or not, and would rather live alone than live with others’ expecting something from her. At the most basic level, she’s primal and free of human conformity. She seems to have a genuine love for the simple things in life, such as unbuckling her seat belt and sticking her body out of the sunroof or causing mischief with her pipe. Life is like a drug that she inhales minute after minute, restless till the end.

However, when it comes to others, they seem to see her as immoral due to her inability to adhere to socially-acceptable morals. Though this is not true – Piper has morals; she is against anything pointless. Lying, murder, trickery, betrayal: it’s all unnecessary to her. It doesn’t help that Piper follows an ‘eye-for-an-eye’ justice ideology. If someone does something unnecessary to her, she sees it as her only option to do the exact same thing to them – or to punish them in the best way she can. If you take her pencil, she’ll take your pen; if you lie to her, she will give you something to lie about; if you don’t pay her for getting rid of the disease-ridden rats with her pipe, she’ll get rid of your disease-riddled children with her pipe for free. In such a way, she has a twisted irony when it comes to such things. 

Furthermore, to solidify her bad reputation, Piper sees emotions as unnecessary. Not so much things as anger and guilt, but rather love and depression – she prefers the most basic, simple emotions and hates complexity. Because of this, Piper tends to avoid complex feelings – she rather not love others, or be attached to others and has never been in a committed relationship (or any relationship) due to this. This isn’t to say she avoids people; Piper loves to be affectionate, whether it be just for warmth or to make the other uncomfortable, she loves to express her happiness with a hug or inappropriately timed kiss on the cheek. 

Due to the fact that she hates complex emotions, she avoids somber atmosphere as well. Piper takes nothing seriously, even if she knows she should, and would rather laugh and crack jokes than tell someone that she’s sorry for their dead mother. Piper loves jokes in general, bad puns or lewd pickup lines, and enjoys anything that has a certain kick of wit in it – whether it’s lame or not. Piper also has a penchant for gossip – she likes to know of drama because she likens it to a TV show rather than real life hurt and pain. A woman going through a divorce? Piper would like to know if she cheated on her husband for a bigger stick. And when Piper gets started, she can be quite talkative and outgoing.

Though she has her bad points, like being greedy with her jobs and being cheap in the mind, Piper does have a very good point about her. What you see is what you get. She sees no reason to hide herself and embraces her identity – though she can be rather insecure about not being accepted by people she particularly likes. As such, if Piper tells you something straightforwardly, it’s the truth, and if Piper tells you she will do something, she will do it. There are no pretenses with her.

Sometimes Piper forgets how old she really is. The memory of her, only twenty years old, clearing the town of rats and clearing the town of children as well is fuzzy and cloudy in her mind. She can’t recall much from that time, but she remembers the heat in her stomach and the cold churning of her veins when she was denied her money. Perhaps she wasn’t thinking right, entrancing the children and leading them to a place they would never be found – of course she didn’t kill them – but, thinking back on it, and seeing how even today she still sees her reasoning as justifiable, it’s highly doubtful that she wasn’t out of her mind. After all, she led them to a better place where they actually prospered and away from the rotting town – though she couldn’t take the lame kid, try as she might. He should’ve walked faster.

She doesn’t tend to dwell on the catalyst of her infamy. Even afterwards, The Pied Piper enjoyed traveling from town to town and joining in hedonistic debauchery and breathing in life, whether it be in the form of heady, humid bodies or frothing, fizzing alcohol or swirling, smothering smoke. It was only in Mystvale that she was truly free.

Arriving to the desolate, constricting Cedar Grove was like crashing from an exhilarating, electric high. Whereas she felt like she was walking on clouds and floating indefinitely and infinitively in Mystvale, in Cedar Grove she was trapped on the earthly plane, on the ground with her two feet, by ball and chain. Every movement felt sluggish, like she was immersed in cold, thick water, and every movement was a struggle. In Cedar Grove, in order to fit in, Piper was trapped by expectations and rules and everything she hated and stood against. In Cedar Grove, she couldn’t play the pipe to make puppets dance or spend her nights stumbling and tripping, high only on happiness (and mushrooms). 

It’s safe to say that Piper didn’t take the transition well. Her life in such a big house in some suburban neighborhood, all alone with no one but a stray cat that sometimes scratched at her doors, was pitiful. Where before, Piper lived and lived, now she was stuck in a pit of depression. Sometimes she couldn’t get herself out of her bed to go to a court case, and other times she was hit with sudden anxiety and restlessness over living her life like this for the rest of her life. Life never had a meaning for her – it was something to enjoy, to have, to simply be – but now it was more than meaningless, it was abysmal and worthless. To her, there was no point to get up in the morning, only to be told what to do and how to do it. To her, there was no point in going to work during the day, only to be told how to act and how to express herself. She lived life going through the motions, not paying attention to anyone else. And, at night when alone, Piper opened up a bottle of vodka and drank and cried and drank more.

The only thing that even offered her a little bit of hope was Essix. When she took it, she felt that high again – that cloud nine feeling, if only on a small scale. With every inhale and exhale, she was playing the pipe again and banishing the rats again and freeing the children again. With every swallow and swipe, she was stumbling again and tripping again. It’s only been a couple of weeks since she has been noticing the side effects – only a couple of weeks since she has admitted her addiction – only a couple of weeks since she decided that she didn’t care.

Though she definitely is beautiful, it’s her style and swagger as well as her oozing confidence that give her the allure rather than her appearance. Matter of fact, if she were stripped of all that, men wouldn’t look at her twice. Because Nikita didn’t possess the luscious lips that her mother did, or the beautifully flouncing hair that men seemed to adore, and her eye color wasn’t particularly exotic. Rather, Nikita had a plain appearance – not too thick, not too thin lips that were often cracked and bare; greasy brown hair that wasn’t exactly curly, but the thickness was tangled and snagged that it gave it a certain amount of volume and it seemed so bedraggled and messy; her eyes were a hazel-green that only looked green up close, and regular brown from a distance. Her body isn’t particularly overwhelming – she’s short at 5’4” and has thick, strong legs and a nice curve to her waist; however, her cleavage isn’t the most impressive and her badonka is of normal size. 

Her makeup is of the grunge sort, as is her clothes, with heavy eye makeup and practically no lip makeup done. She prefers dark clothes and bared legs with her top is not usually particularly revealing, however it’s not rare for her to don something risqué every once and awhile. Her shoes are either perfectly shiny boots or ragged sneakers, but high heels and expensive brand names are never seen on her feet. Nikita never puts much thought into her appearance – unless it’s a jacket. Nikita is very picky and particular with her jackets; they are always kept in perfect condition and are very stylish. Her hoodies do not have a single stain on them and her leather jackets have never been worn cracked. 

Nikita’s voice is rather husky and low with a cockney accent; it often sounds gritty and raspy due to her sometimes going days without speaking. Being a succubus, Nikita doesn’t really have a demon form – there seems to be no point considering that her kind was explicitly made to seduce humans. However, whenever she’s sucking out someone’s sexual energy, her eyes tend to turn a vivid amber color. When Nikita walks, she exudes arrogance with her slouched swaggering way of walking and confident but not overboard sway of her hips. People may think she has a rather alluring smell, though no one can pinpoint exactly what it is. Nikita has a few scars on her back from BDSM gone wrong, but they’re rather small and on the corner of her shoulder. She’s covered them with a stereotypical tattoo of flying silhouettes of birds.

There is a certain air about Nikita, an aura of carefree attitude and sarcasm that simmers on the front, ready to lash out. Many perceive her as one of those rebels; the kind who obnoxiously shout their opinions and make their thoughts known, the type that are easily provoked and jump at every chance to fight someone. But Nikita was never like that, far from it.

The truth of Nikita is that she’s quiet. She could go days without talking and still be perfectly content. When speaking, her words are decided upon deliberately, and every sentence and coherent thought spoken aloud has a certain amount of thought and weight placed on it. She hides her true feelings and thoughts behind a wall of iron and steel, her emotions imperceptible to those around her unless she specifically elaborates to others – which is a rare occasion in itself. Nikita hates the feeling of being vulnerable; she hates being at the mercy and pity of others, relying on someone else to help her, and perhaps this is why she refuses to divulge her problems when she has them. Instead of asking for help, Nikita would rather die because she couldn’t help herself than have to rely on the kindness of a friend or stranger. Because of her closed off nature, Nikita is a little bit of a loner. Not to say she doesn’t have friends, because Nikita has an abundance of too-loud friends that she drinks, parties, sleeps with on a daily basis but even with them, Nikita is an outsider. She laughs with them and reminisces, but they never ask her questions about her past or present, or how she feels – it’s just as she likes it. When it comes to her friends, they are in a sphere of just them, and everything on the outside doesn’t matter, not their work or failing relationships or mistakes. 

Nikita doesn’t like others help, she doesn’t like the burden of owing others and she hates the weight that dependency lies on her shoulders. If she wants something, Nikita is determined to get it herself through her own means. As such, independence is an important aspect of her life and Nikita would rather die than be trapped in a dependent relationship of sorts – whether it’s platonic, romantic, or toxic. Therefore, Nikita has a tendency to hold others at arm length rather than embracing a friendship or relationship, leading to Nikita’s relationships with family, friends, and significant others being rather difficult and ultimately failing. 

As a general rule of thumb, if you want to assume something about Nikita, assume she doesn’t care. Nikita finds it hard to care about anything and finds generally everything pointless. Her apathetic carelessness often leads to her hurting others, making mistakes, and pissing everybody off. When Nikita became a cop, she didn’t become a cop in order to protect others, but rather it was a steady source of income and she was good at it. She tends to not pay much mind to things that don’t directly involve her and in moments in which bad things do happen to her, Nikita simply shrugs it off.

Being a rather quiet person who tends to keep to herself as well as an undercover cop, Nikita has become really good at reading others’ body language. This, of course, does not mean she knows exactly what other people are thinking – that’s impossible – but Nikita is rather good at picking up social queues and picking up when others aren’t acting like themselves or are being suspicious. Furthermore, Nikita has a lot of patience and is willing to wait for others to come to her when they want to talk rather than force it out of them. She prefers subtlety that way, and keeps secrets rather well, though most of the time she does so out of the pretense that it is none of her goddamn business rather than because she cares or feels obligated to.

Unlike most other demons, Nikita doesn’t have to lie about her age – yet. Twenty-six years ago, on September 22, Nikita was born to Valentina Yankovsky. Nikita never knew much about her father; he was a random incubus stranger who was too unimportant to know his name and, apparently, the owner of a bad batch of condoms. Despite not knowing her father, Nikita never really questioned her mother about or let it bother her; family never seemed that important to Nikita. Perhaps it was because of her isolated upbringing, in which Nikita spent her time going to school and coming home to an empty house. 

Growing up, Nikita always knew what she was. She understood that, while she could go to school with humans and have a regular job like humans, humans would always be her prey in some way or another. Therefore, Nikita never bothered envying humans or wishing she could be normal, instead Nikita focused on what was rather than what could be. In school, instead of having close relationships with her classmates, Nikita spent her time doing homework, reading, and playing videogames. Her life at home was mostly lonely. Valentina loved her daughter, but they were both very secluded, withdrawn people and so they didn’t really bond or speak at all. Around the time when Nikita turned eleven, Valentina decided she could stay at home for long periods of time by herself, and began to leave for months at a time. When Nikita was sixteen, she didn’t see her mother for a whole year.

Nikita never experienced a real romance, she didn’t have the presence of mind to even try for a romance. Her first time was in the backseat of a car of a random stranger who just happened to be incredibly handsome and vulnerable. That was as romantic as Nikita got. When she became legal, Nikita entered the adult film business in order to pay for university. At university, Nikita studied political science and, well, had a lot of sex if we’re being completely honest – like a lot. 

However, when Nikita was twenty-one, she got a call from a stranger claiming to be her long lost twin sister, named Nadia. Apparently, Nadia became aware of her through her adult films that her boyfriend seemed to like. Unfortunately, Nadia did not know of her succubus nature in which Nikita had to break it to her, which was an affair in itself. The idea of having a family member she didn’t know anything about pissed Nikita off and she confronted her mother, Valentina about it. Valentina shared that, when she found out she was pregnant with twins, she decided that two kids was too much for her, as simple as that. Valentina gave up Nadia for adoption and that was that – thoughts of her second (and oldest) child left her mind. With the truth known, Nikita set up a meeting between Valentina and Nadia which didn’t end up well (especially with Nadia being overly affectionate and warm and the Yankovsky duo being rather cold and impersonal). 

Having met Valentina, Nadia decided to introduce Nikita to her adoptive parents, who were rich business owners that were not too happy with a doppelganger appearing naked on the internet with her daughter’s face. Nadia’s parents blackmailed Nikita to quit the porn industry and, without the money to pay for her university, Nikita dropped out. With no further education than her basic High School Diploma, Nikita decided that a job in law enforcement was really the only way to go. She moved off campus and into Edgetoun as well as entered training school to become a police officer. The training period went by quickly and Nikita’s (albeit lacking) acting skills made her a good option for an undercover cop.

Nothing much happened during this time period, Nikita pretty much ignored Nadia’s existence, except for the occasional coffee if Nikita felt particularly guilty that day, and Valentina was somewhere off in Asia, probably making more family members that Nikita did not want to have. However, with the arrival of knowledge that the human community attained, Nikita didn’t know quite what to do with herself. In the beginning, she had felt like panicking, but instead quelled it and pushed it down, pretending the problem didn’t exist. The following week, Nikita went to work and move about, pretending as if nothing was happening. Still is, though anxiety is quietly creeping up her spine.

Alfie is a mildly successful Chocolatier, meaning he is a professional chocolate chef. He owns a small chocolate shop called Sweet Bite where he accepts custom jobs but sells his own specially made chocolate as well. He has a few workers there who help him make the chocolate, but not many.

Alfie is a man who visually appears to be twenty-one, but in all actuality is one hundred and twenty-seven. He’s tall-ish, standing at six feet, but a foot of his height is probably his neck perhaps an exaggeration. Matter of fact, his long neck is one of his most noticed features which has earned him annoying giraffe and flamingo remarks from friends or fellow vampires. His jawline is narrow and defined, his lips full and a natural pink color, and his cheekbones are smooth. Alfie has tanner skin than most vampires due to his ethnicity, but compared to others of Han descent, Alfie is pale. When he smiles, his teeth are rather straight and white – almost too perfect – and his canines are elongated into fangs. 

When it comes to his personality showing through his actions, Alfie moves very languidly and carelessly. Every slouch of his shoulders or pocketing of cigarettes into his back pocket exude a “I don’t give a shit” attitude. His clothes echo this sentiment as they are often t-shirts with a low neck line that exposes his collar bone and the heart tattoo placed over his own heart. In typical punk fashion, Alfie wears skinny jeans that are semi-loose on his hips, but rather tight on his legs – which are amazing, by the way. His ears are pierced (twice on the left), but he only wears earrings occasionally, and he enjoys long chain necklaces around his long ass neck. His hair, which was originally brown bordering on black, is now a blonde color with dark roots that curves around his forehead. When Alfie walks, he walks with confidence, and his voice is a lilting noise that’s neither deep nor high. 

However, in all his punk wannabe badassery, Alfie has a secret. Alfie, being the real life catlady that he is, has a collection of cat sweaters that he likes to wear when no one is around. His boxers have cats and paw print decorations, his fans are covered in the faces of cats, and he has jewelry with diamonds cats on them or ornaments in the shape of cats decorating his house. Alfie’s bathrobe, which he always wears after his shower, has cats and his smartphone case is of a 3D cat (the background of his phone is of a cat, the password is ‘meow’, and his lockscreen is a selfie of him and his cat, Boots). Even his expensive house is decorated in cats – his room has wall stickers that look like real cats perched on his furniture, he collects cat figurines, cat toys and furniture is everywhere for his own cat (the cat even has a room to himself), and the shower curtain is of cats. If anyone asks to come into his house, he probably won’t let them in for this reason alone. It’s a secret that Alfie will carry to the grave.

Like Shrek from Shrek, Alfie has layers. On the outside, to strangers, many would think of Alfie as a quiet and mysterious boy. He doesn’t say much in public and prefers to keep to himself, playing on his phone (cat games, if we’re being honest, though he tries to hide it) or listening to music. However, for those who have had the pleasure to speak to him, many describe him as a smooth-talker. Alfie is rather glib and suave, flirtatious remarks and light persuasion masterfully dealt with his silver tongue. It’s rather easy for him to get what he wants this way, and he knows it. As such, with great power comes great asshole tendencies. Alfie is beyond confident, but arrogant. He thinks of himself as the best there is and rarely gets jealous of others because he genuinely believes he’ll get everything in the end. He’s rather annoying like that. Though strangers may also notice that Alfie is rather lazy; he enjoys his naps and doesn’t hide that fact, he avoids working too hard on things he doesn’t care about (aka he only tries when it comes to cats and chocolate) and he’d rather pay someone to clean up his mess than clean it up himself.

When his first layer is peeled away, Alfie’s surprising twist of personality contrasts to the quiet arrogant man he is before. Towards friends and family, Alfie is rather mischievous and playful. He enjoys messing with others and teasing people just to get a reaction. Furthermore, Alfie has great bedside manners to those he’s close to. He can be quite a motherhen when worried; if someone close to him is sick, he’ll rush to their side with soup and comedy movies. He’s the type of guy who, when his girlfriend is menstruating, will buy tampons and chocolate and renting romance movies without even blinking an eye. Alfie puts thought into caring for those he likes and goes out of his way to help or to surprise them. However, Alfie is insatiable by nature, and those around him know this. Nothing is ever enough for Alfie – he always wants more. This is in regards to material items and abstract things – his relationships tend to be fast and passionate, almost intoxicatingly suffocating because of his intense need to have everything of his partner.

When the second layer is tossed away, Alfie’s most inner worries are exposed. Alfie refuses to show anyone this side of him; like his obsession with cats, this part of him is locked and hidden. This part of him as only been developing as of late, to be honest. Alfie once had a strict moral code, but after seeing so much violence, Alfie has become desensitized to human issues. Matter of fact, he no longer flinches when he has to sink his teeth into the neck of a human. He no longer cringes when he accidentally takes it too far and kills them. When he sees massacres and mass dead, Alfie no longer chews on his bottom lip anxiously, but instead flips the remote to a sitcom and gets popcorn, the whole thing out of his mind. And Alfie is becoming increasingly worried about it. Alfie is terrified that he’s becoming the monster – is already the monster – that he has been avoiding since he ran from Taiwan. Unfortunately, even though he knows his moral code is practically gone at this point, Alfie has no motivation or will to stop it.

Alfie, then known as Bai, was the seventh son of seven sons to a poor couple living in Taiwan. He was born two years before Japan pressed Taiwan under their thumb, and those two years were spent blissfully unaware. There is not much to tell about his childhood, he spent his time helping his parents on their small plot of farmland, and eventually fell in love with his childhood sweetheart, Hualiang (who was a boy, though his parents didn’t know this of course). They spent their time loitering in the fields, staring at clouds, and pretending as if the world didn’t exist around them.

However, growing up where the Japanese ruled his life, Bai was becoming increasingly unhappy. Around the age of nineteen, Bai got involved in the Taiwanese resistance against the Japanese and, in 1914, Bai was introduced to Yu Qingfang’s resistance through Hualiang. For four months, Bai trained in fighting under Yu Qingfang’s crowd until, one night, Hualiang and he were lying in bed. They were peacefully resting in each other’s arms when Hualiang was getting rowdy; Bai had let it happen, indulging who he thought was the love of his life, when he felt sharp piercing into his neck. Bai had meant to move away from Hualiang, to stop it from going further, when he felt a sharper pain, a twist of the neck, and a distinct snapping noise, all of it accompanying silence and black.

Once he woke up, Bai wished that he was still dead. It was a conspiracy of the vampiric sorts that Bai didn’t appreciate. Yu Qingfang was afraid of losing and was in the process of building up a vampire army in order to overthrow the Japanese. Bai only stayed with the resistance because, despite how Hualiang wronged him, Bai still loved him. The climax of the Japanese rule on Taiwan and the end of Bai’s life happened during the Tapani Incident in 1915. The resistance movements banded together and attacked Japanese police stations, attempting to get rid of them once and for all. In the process, people died and, seeing the vampires attack the people so viciously, Bai began to question whether it was worth it or not. After a miscalculation and a bullet to the stomach, Bai fled the temple. Hualiang was dedicated to the cause, too dedicated in Bai’s opinion, and sneered at Bai for his desertion. Eventually, Bai fled Taiwan, too.

His life after that became a blur. Though, at first, Bai was disdainful towards his vampire nature, only drinking animal blood and avoiding humans at all cost, Bai ultimately fell into the worst of ways. Bai seemingly stopped caring about human life – it wasn’t a sudden snap, but a gradual thing that Bai didn’t see until too late – and human blood was so good. In tribute to his transformation, Bai changed his name and continually changed his name every couple of years once he got bored with the one he chose. 

He was William when he came to London. William something – he doesn’t quite remember the surname he chose. It was during World War II that he came, coming from the United States of America. At first he stayed by himself, until he found a place in The Collective. The Collective, despite having certain tendencies he once abhorred, made him feel like he belonged somewhere, and so he settled there permanently and became known as Alfie. 

Nowadays, Alfie has found his calling – chocolate and cats – and spends his time working at his chocolate store, a certified Chocolatier and owner, or playing with his adorable Savannah cat that cost him £12000. He likes the occasional one-night stand and night out, but mostly enjoys staying in. However, ever since the Others have been found out, he’s worried his neighbors might become suspicious of him due to his semi-shut in nature (though there doesn’t really seem to be anything to worry about). In order to avoid suspicion, Alfie has been making it a point to be nice to his neighbors and every human he meets, so as to avoid accusations.

Bora is an Asian girl of average height, being five foot five and weighing a healthy 123. 4 pounds. She is of Korean descent, both of her parents having been born in South Korea. The teenager prefers to keep her hair long and of a darker shade, though she will lighten her hair time to time with a dash of dyed red, and is overly concerned with her personal hygiene. Before she goes to breakfast or goes to bed, Bora performs a regiment skin care ritual on her face in order to keep it clear and soft and places protective hair products in her strands to keep it silky and shiny. When Bora was fifteen, she was diagnosed with polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) which affects her body weight and menstrual cycle. As such, Bora can only have a small amount of sugar a day and tends to obsess over the amount of calories she intakes. 

When it comes to her physical appearance, Bora treats her fashion choices with care and dons only designer brand clothes. She prefers to wear lace and cotton when it comes to her clothes and she has a predilection for dresses. Her personal style could be described as a sophisticated preppy fashion style with her trendy, simple dresses or high-waisted skirts. Bora likes jewel or peter pan necklines over any other neckline and downright refuses to wear a sweetheart neckline. Bora is careful to balance her expensive clothes with only a light amount of jewelry, usually simple earrings - her favorite are her pearl earrings - and a silver necklace with one ring on her finger. Her nails are always perfectly manicured with French tips and her makeup is more natural and light than heavy or gaudy. Bora's hair is almost always down, with the occasional bun or braid here and there. The only time she will be caught dead with a ponytail is if she is working out or sleeping. Bora loves silk and as such will only wear silk pajamas and undergarments.

Many claim they hate Bora, even though they don’t know her. When asked why, they provide the typical answers: arrogant, spoiled, shallow, stupid. Some of these traits are important pieces of Bora’s personality, but a great deal of them aren’t. 

There’s no point in lying and saying that Bora is not shallow – when it comes to material items, Bora is as shallow as they come. She has an inner need for things to look visually perfect: pristine clothes, silky hair, organized pencils. Money helps her buy items that make her world visually perfect: Gucci, Prada, Versace. Bora wants to look, and feel, her best and so she has a tendency to see others that don’t look their best as a) insecure, b) lazy, or c) clueless – but never ugly. Furthermore, it is not much of a stretch to say that Bora is spoiled. At a certain point, she stopped asking her parents for something and just got it with her credit card. Worse still, Bora is the type of girl that when she wants something, she will get it and she is thoughtless in that she never thinks of how her ambitious and indulging will affect her later on or others. As such, people see her as careless and childish rather than the sophisticated, careful woman she emulates to be. Her playful nature and emotional outbursts furthers others' opinion of her as immature and juvenile. Adding to her shallow and superficial image, Bora is hot-tempered and, when she believes she is wronged, will hold lifelong grudges, even if it is over something completely petty.

However, Bora is not without her virtues. She possesses a light character, playful and with an odd and soft sense of humor that is oddly endearing to others. When she begins something, Bora throws her whole self into it, showing an admirable dedication to her endeavors. She, overall, is devoted to truth and justice and the pursuit of intelligence. She is very hard-working and friendly, with an ambitious arm reaching for anything she can get her hands on. Bora is friendly and always tries to include everybody; she also retains a refreshing, liberal open mind that leads her to fighting for what she believes is right in the world. Guy has the type of face that, the more you stare at it, the more attractive he becomes. He’s of Korean descent (with a tad bit of Taiwanese in there as well). His skin is tanner than most and he is quite proud of it – he hates when his skin comes off as pale in pictures and videos as he prefers the natural tan he was born with (and has added more color to with the help of the Nevada sun). When it comes to his face, he has a nice jaw – not too soft, not too hard – and smooth cheek bones. His face is untouched by acne (or, at least, hasn’t been touched by the hands of hormones since his seventeenth birthday we don’t talk about how he breaks out when he is really stressed about school). Guy’s nose is small and flat – nothing completely remarkable or unique. And he has dark eyes that are not completely black, but are more than the darkest of browns. Guy is guilty of applying guyliner, but fuck gender roles – he’ll do what he wants! When he was a child, his ears used to be so huge that he looked like Dumbo; he has grown into them a little bit. His ears are still a little bit big for his head, but he uses silver hoop earrings to distract from the size. The most striking feature on the canvas that is Guy’s face is his mouth. They possess a peculiar round figure and the upper is thicker than the lower; whenever he smiles, his mouth seems to form a rather odd shape that can only be described as a boxy grin – it’s weirdly charming and endearing.

There is no point in describing Guy’s hair – he has a tendency to change the color every week. It is originally a brown, not dark or light, and he sometimes recolors his hair as a sort of throwback tribute. He usually keeps his hair styled in a way that covers his forehead and eyebrows with nicely cut bangs. Hair maintenance is rather important to him because he dyes it so much and it should come as no surprise that he owns a rather expensive hair kit as well as the best of the best shampoo and conditioner. Guy has a masculine, deep baritone voice that tends to take people by shock. There are times when his voice pitches upwards when surprised or in pain, but his voice tends to show the wide range of his emotions and is rather raw with feeling. Guy smells like his coconut shampoo and conditioner, but there is a small hint of oolong tea and sharpies that clings to his clothes.

When it comes to fashion, Guy doesn’t like keeping himself defined to one style. He likes to mix it up every now and then – and his guilty pleasure is dressing up as high school stereotypes. There are weeks where he will be dressed like a rich son that belongs on a golf course, and other times like a jock that belongs in High School Musical. However, his favorite outfits tend to gravitate more towards an indie and punk looks. He alternates between John Lennon glasses and brown jackets to leather jackets and black skinny jeans. However, if he doesn’t plan to go anywhere, he enjoys chilling in plain t-shirts of various colors and regular jeans and a snapback.

Such a simple statement to describe such a complex person.

Guy Lee is not weird, he is a person of paradoxes and a purity that confuses others. Guy acts as if he’s never seen the cruelty of the world; has never seen the point of a knife or the dip of a bullet hole, has never witnessed the sensuality between a couple that’s not a couple, has never had his back raked with the violent ends of gossip and lies. Guy Lee is a defender of humanity – not in the fantastical sense, but in the literal argumentative sense. While most others enjoy hiding their emotions under layers of misplaced cynicism and tiring sarcasm, Guy prefers to decorate his sleeves with the red of his heart. A hurtful lie has never slipped from his tongue, a pessimistic backlashing has never felt the softness of his lips, and deceit has never clawed its way from his throat. Guy Lee is a human being and lives his life honestly and carefree; in such a way, Guy is genuine. He never lies, and if he does, he does so to protect the feelings of others and the genuineness of his kindness makes up for the small white lie. 

Perhaps it’s because of such genuine nature that most are not surprised by his gullible and naïve being. As someone who trusts the capacity of kindness of human beings, Guy never expects others to have ill will towards him and never questions others’ intentions. Polite words spoken to him with the malice of a viper float over his head like beautiful clouds and he much rather smile and wave at such passing spoken thoughts than analyze them. He never questions the lies others speak to him, but instead believe that when two and two don’t go together, it’s his fault for misunderstanding. However, don’t mistake his naivety for inexperience. Guy knows the world of sex (and enjoys it), he doesn’t mistake a one-night stand for a romance or a romance for a one-night stand. Guy understands the complexities of relationships – well, he may not know the actual complexities of relationships, but Guy knows that relationships have a complex nature and that is close enough. Furthermore, Guy is susceptible to being influenced by others, even if he knows it is a bad situation. He easily falls to peer pressure when it comes to alcohol, drugs, sex, and of the likes as he lacks the critical ability to analyze other’s intentions.

When it comes to interacting with others, Guy likes the light-hearted things. He hates unnecessary drama as it sits on his shoulders like a weight. Instead, Guy enjoys the little things in life – he lives for the moments in which friends just play together, pushing each other into lakes and telling cheerful, punny jokes that makes the whole group cringe. When lighthearted situations turn heavy, Guy is quick to change the subject or atmosphere – his best solution to everything is avoidance. Though he would like to be there for his friends when they are in need of advice, Guy is unable to give advice, and so he likes to distract people from their problems instead. If Guy is ever hurt by his friends, he would hide it from them and force himself to think that he was reading too much into the problem, that he’s overreacting. He does this until the tension builds behind his skin, burrowing in the cracks of his skull, and winding him up and up and up until someone breaks the dam and his frustrations and sadness is on display for everyone to see (though they probably saw it before hand, as Guy is terrible at hiding his feelings).

It is easy for Guy to make friends. He rather likes hanging out with others – when he’s by himself, he thinks too much – and it’s the driving force behind his every action to strangers. When Guy has his sights on someone he wants as a friend, he won’t stop until they acknowledge a friendship of sorts. He’s overly friendly and has a tendency to avoid personal space of others, or to be too physically comfortable with them in that he plants kisses on their cheeks or hugs them and clings to them. Guy is the type to demand phone numbers and friendly outings with a stranger rather than slowly ease someone into a friendship with him – he’d rather twist their arm (metaphorically speaking, of course) into being his friend than wait for them to come to him. In this way, Guy can be obnoxious. He doesn’t know when to stop and leave people alone; he’ll constantly badger someone until they make it abundantly clear that they want him gone. 

Guy’s fatal flaw is his impulsivity. He never thinks before he acts. This has led him astray many times – he has almost drowned, he has gotten accused of stealing (he thought that it wasn’t stealing if it was still on the store’s property and he wanted to do a science experiment damnit!), and many other unbearable situations for relatives and friends. Despite this major misgiving, Guy is rather confident in his personality and whole being. He knows that he’s good-looking, that he’s smart (when it comes to science), and that he has an attractive personality – but he is aware that he has limits (though he has no clue what those limits are, he knows they exist). He doesn’t care if people think he is weird because he likes aliens and ghosts and acts like a child, because at the end of the day – he has friends and he’s getting some (plus he’s totally right ‘cause aliens do exist, guys. They do!).

Guy Lee is a third generation Korean. Both his parents were born and raised in the United States; his mother, Mary Lee (nee Jeon), was raised in California by her Korean father and Taiwanese mother while his father, Godfrey Lee, was raised in Georgia. There was an eleven year age gap between the two; Mary was twenty-four when they married while Godfrey was thirty-five. 

Hilariously enough, Godfrey and Mary married a day after meeting each other - in viva Las Vegas. Godfrey was there for his own bachelor party while Mary was visiting with her friends as a college graduation celebration. They happened to get blackout drunk and woke up the next morning with ring pops on their fingers. Of course, the next course of action would have been a quick divorce - but Mary may have gotten knocked up on their  “honeymoon” (a week after they filed for divorce, Godfrey was dumped by his fiance and so Mary decided on throwing him a spontaneous honeymoon party consisting of the two, bad romance movies, and lots of booze; things may have escalated). Being the traditional man he was, Godfrey refused to go through with the divorce because he wanted to support Mary and he did not want another man to be a father to his child. Mary was young, fresh out of college, and shunned by her parents for her rash actions; Godfrey was the only thing keeping Mary and her unborn baby off the streets. Of course they fell in love after a while, as people are wont to do, and four years after Guy was born, they had another child. This time, a girl, named Missy.

Guy grew up in the loving arms of a wonderful, free family. The family was made through unconventional means and so they seemed to embrace unconventional traits in their child. When Guy wanted to go ghost hunting, Mary Lee bought a huge butterfly net for him to catch the ghosts - though Godfrey was adamant that a butterfly net wouldn’t work (he claimed that a jar would work better, but Mary held fast that a butterfly net was the way to go). Guy and Mary were particularly close; at night, Mary would tuck Guy in and read him stories about weird mysterious disappearances linked to aliens and supposed UFO sightings. When Guy asked his mother why she liked aliens so much, she told him the story of his conception dream. In East Asian cultures, there is a belief that a soon-to-be mother or close relatives of the mother will have a dream before the baby is ahem made or even the day of the conception. In such a dream, called a Tae Mong in Korea, fruits and animals are said to appear and, depending on what appears in the dream, that is the gender of the baby. The night of Guy’s conception, Mary had a dream of cranes, golden combs, persimmons, and small snakes made of jewels - something about her wandering in a forest? - and then a UFO crashed where Mary made contact with extraterrestrials! Ever since then, Guy was obsessed with aliens as well. He even tried to get Missy to go searching for ET with him (she refused; she was more of a doll and dinosaur kind of girl, like her father).

Unfortunately, families can’t always live in peace and happiness. Guy was around twelve when his mother died in a car accident - Guy doesn’t remember much about it, he tries to block out the details as much as possible, but there was something about a car not looking before merging and accidentally colliding into his mother’s car. She freaked and tried to control the car, but only made it worse, and the car eventually flipped - there might have been fire if Guy tries to think of it. Because, Guy distinctly remembers feeling a heat grazing his cheek and his mother screaming in the front of the car as a hand tried to reach for him. Guy had been a bit dazed at the time, he had been asleep in the backseat when it happened and everything happened in flashes, like snapshots and pictures. Flash - there’s a car - flash - why is he upside down? - flash and blink - is he dreaming? - flash - why does his foot burn? Guy escaped the car alive, but his ankle was broken and his head split open (he had to have it stapled). His mother, however, had her spine crushed and she died later that night.

Of course his family was sad. For years, they were sad. Mary Lee was the love and joy of the family. Godfrey did his best to provide for his family, he made sure to spend more time than ever at home and there were weeks where he wouldn’t have his kids go to school at all - if that was for him or his children, no one can ever be sure. They spent their time watching documentaries on aliens and ghosts and shopping for beautiful butterfly nets and jam jars. However, Godfrey was still young in mind (not so much in body, he was forty-eight at this point). Missy and Guy weren’t that mad when he got remarried - to his ex-fiance, matter of fact. Her name was Yael and she was a lawyer and originally from Israel before moving to Georgia with her parents at the age of thirteen. Yael tried to be a good mother figure to them, and made it perfectly clear she would never replace their mom (as if they didn’t know that). Despite being a slight control freak, something that did not completely meld with the relaxed Lee family, Guy tried his best to make Yael feel welcome in the family.

When Guy was seventeen, he decided to attend Camp Liberty in California because it was close to where his mother grew up. He wanted to feel closer to her somehow by seeing where she used to live and go to college and attending Camp Liberty was the only way his father and step-mother was going to allow that. Guy enjoyed his first year at Camp Liberty and is now going for a second year.

What people don’t expect is the pale, smooth skin of Winslow with slight, faint freckles on her cheek and an apathetic face void of strong emotions. Her hair is red (not auburn, not orange, but the natural color of the gingerfolk) and falls in waves to the tip of her stomach. Winslow doesn’t mess with it much – she prefers to just brush it in the morning and not touch it for the rest of the day. She hates wearing makeup as she often forgets that she put it on and rubs her eye – however, from time to time, she’ll wear a bit of foundation and eye makeup. Though, she is rather liberal with her use of chapstick. She is around 5’6” in height and is rather on the skinny side with an average figure. However, she’s been working on building up the muscle (though it hasn’t been going well, she’s naturally born with a stick figure) and fat in her body. Winslow is quite satisfied with her legs, though, as they are long and she likes to show them off in jean shorts sometimes. When it comes to clothes, Winslow prefers the simple – jeans, tanktop or t-shirt, a jacket or something. Winslow has two personalities, as confusing as it is: a faux personality she shows to others and a genuine personality reserved only for herself and perhaps a close friend or two.

It’s easy for others to describe her – Winslow is incapable of creating a three-dimensional second personality, after all, so there are cracks. When others see her, they see the typical jock. Her mind seems empty to others; Winslow projects an uncaring stupidity so others don’t question her or bother her with unneeded arguments or discussions. She comes off as a complete meathead with interests in nothing but boxing, wrestling, and martial arts. In order to embrace such a persona, Winslow often incorporates a seventh grade humor “that’s what she said” and crude, yet misinformed, sex jokes. Winslow tends to act arrogantly and impulsively to subscribe herself to the jock stereotype. 

The only real trait in the faux personality is her hot-headed, temperamental nature. Winslow doesn’t take well to other people wronging her and her temper has a tendency to get incredibly hot in an incredible amount of time. She is incapable of letting it simmer, but instead lashes out the moment she is angered. Winslow reacts in most situations aggressively – when sad or upset, Winslow would rather respond with heated anger and sharp words than depraved tears and desolation. 

Other than her love of martial arts and temperament, the rest of such a projected personality is utterly fake – almost hilariously so. If people knew, many would ask why she pretends as such. Is it to keep her heart guarded? Is it out of a pure need to manipulate others? No, it’s much more simple than that. Winslow is a complete and unsalvageable nerd.

While she acts like a total moron, Winslow is rather educated. Intelligent or smart is the wrong word to use in regards to her because she is not naturally so – her level of education is the fruit of labor. Winslow is a scholarly woman who likes to spend her time learning and thoroughly picking a part every bit of information she can find. If Winslow wishes to have an opinion on a certain subject, she researches that subject till her fingers are cramping and cut! In addition, she is a rather thorough person, overall. Winslow diligently and carefully sorts through all the facts, assesses all the evidence, and measures all the risks before doing anything. As a nice compliment to such a knowledge-seeking personality, Winslow often has to have a dedicated and diligent mind. Matter of fact, Winslow is one of the hardest working people her friends have ever known – she will work herself to death if she could (and many of her friends back home predicted that she will become a workaholic in the future). She will spend hours making sure she reaches her goals and often has to be dragged away from whatever she is currently working on. However, she has plenty of time to do work considering she is intensely introverted and will become emotionally distressed if around a group of people for more than a few hours at a time.

Of course she is not without her bad traits. Other than being temperamental, Winslow is rather apathetic towards other’s plights when it does not directly involve her. She tends to live life with a lack of vigor, only going through the motions. She is rather bored with the modern world and spends her head tucked between the pages of a fantasy book entailing magical adventures. As it is, though she holds many opinions, she has no care of arguing for them or changing others’ minds to see it from her side. Furthermore, Winslow lives an inhibited life – tightly controlled with careful calculations and a life of no risks. Winslow is a control freak that has to have everything in between her fingers because surprises make her extremely nervous and being taken aback is unsettling for her. She enjoys knowing that everything is orderly and predictable – which, perhaps, is why her life is so boring, because she knows everything that is going to happen. Unfortunately for those who do know her, they will often have to deal with her rather morose personality. Winslow is a moody teenager who will have moments of melancholy and somedays cannot seem to get out of bed. She is rather pessimistic and has a hard time seeing the good in anything!

But, what she’s really ashamed of, is her level of geekiness. Winslow embraces the life of a fangirl – she must know everything about the things she enjoys and, opposite of her personality, becomes rather passionate and excited about her literary wanderings and movie choices. She overanalyzes books and uses such forms of entertainments as an escape from her daily life. Cosplay is a natural step in life for her and she could talk hours, days, years about hobbits and house elves.

Life started out simple enough for Winslow. She was born in a small town near Mobile, Alabama to parents that have never left the state, let alone the country. They grew up small town, and lived small town. Winslow’s parents were high school sweethearts that made the mistake of marrying too soon and grew up hating each other. Around nineteen years old, Winslow’s mother gave birth to her which ruined her dreams of going to college and obtaining a career (or maybe it was her lack of motivation and a ready excuse that allowed Winslow’s mother to settle). Winslow’s mother settled as a waitress while Winslow’s father made money through his mechanic career. As the marriage went on, Winslow’s mother and father realized they hated each other and divorced like most high school sweethearts. 

After the divorce, Winslow’s mother picked up other recreational activities to fill the time that, before, had been used to argue with her husband. Such activities being alcohol, sex, and drugs. Though Winslow knew her mother loved her, her mother slowly was engulfed by addiction and soon loss functionality in regular day life. She was fired from her job after coming blackout drunk and she could no longer support her daughter. They lived day to day on the small amount of child support that Winslow’s father sent in. When Winslow was twelve, she got a job at a restaurant where she was paid under the table (tax free, thankfully) because she was too young. However, when Winslow’s mother attempted to pick up Winslow from school while intoxicated, the school’s administration called child services. In court, Winslow’s mother was seen as unfit as Winslow’s guardian and her daughter was put into the foster system.

For a couple of months, Winslow bounced around in the foster system – house to house. However, when Winslow’s mother did not clean up her act, months turned to years and Winslow became a teenager. Of course, the two kept in touch as much as they could and had supervised visits; but it wasn’t enough for the lonely Winslow. She grew up roughly, always feeling unwanted by her mother, father, and all the foster families that took her in and turned her back over. Eventually, Winslow came to the Smith family. They were a generic, suburban family that was taking in a foster child for the first time. However, Winslow grew on them and they on her, so they stayed together for quite a while (they would have adopted her, but Winslow didn’t want that because of her hope of her mother coming back for her). They bought her a computer, gave her the nicest clothes they could, and even sent her to Camp Liberty over the summer. Maybe it's because they are so good to her that Winslow hasn't come out of the closet yet; she's afraid that the extremely conservative family will send her back like everyone else has.

Through kinetic control, Guy Lee is able to control the movements and enhancements of molecules. This allows him to affect objects and people in multiple ways, depending on the way he manipulates the molecules in such people. It should be noted that Guy Lee’s abilities have not cultivated that far and he so far only possesses Molecular Combustion and it is unknown if he will ever gain the control over his powers in order to master other such techniques. As of this moment, Guy Lee has the barest amount of control over his combustion abilities and any spikes of his emotions may lead to serious and deadly consequences.

Guy Lee has shown a rather charming and endearing personality that leads to others very easily bending to him when he asks for favors. While his charisma is of note, he does not show any leader abilities and only uses his persuasiveness to get cheap favors such as buying him a candy bar or answers to homework.

🌎 Chemistry
Guy Lee is very proficient in the field of science, most particularly Chemistry. He understands very well the workings of molecules and atoms - however, it should be of note that he is rather reckless when it comes to science experiments and his science subjects (mainly himself).

🌎 Astronomy
While there is nothing impressive about Guy Lee's knowledge of stars, he does pick up the history and culture of other planets quicker than most. Furthermore, his expertise has led him to have a couple navigational tricks under his belt and he demonstrates a sneakiness when he is paired with his telescope, showing small signs of a talent in espionage and long-distance spying.

“Guy Lee is weird.”   EDIT: i applaud myself. this was so poetic. like A+ Guy.

Such a simple statement to describe such a complex person.

Guy Lee is not weird, he is a person of paradoxes and a purity that confuses others. Guy acts as if he’s never seen the cruelty of the world; has never seen the point of a knife or the dip of a bullet hole, has never witnessed the sensuality between a couple that’s not a couple, has never had his back raked with the violent ends of gossip and lies. Guy Lee is a defender of humanity – not in the fantastical sense, but in the literal argumentative sense. While most others enjoy hiding their emotions under layers of misplaced cynicism and tiring sarcasm, Guy prefers to decorate his sleeves with the red of his heart. A hurtful lie has never slipped from his tongue, a pessimistic backlashing has never felt the softness of his lips, and deceit has never clawed its way from his throat. Guy Lee is a human being and lives his life honestly and carefree; in such a way, Guy is genuine. He never lies, and if he does, he does so to protect the feelings of others and the genuineness of his kindness makes up for the small white lie. 

Perhaps it’s because of such genuine nature that most are not surprised by his gullible and naïve being. As someone who trusts the capacity of kindness of human beings, Guy never expects others to have ill will towards him and never questions others’ intentions. Polite words spoken to him with the malice of a viper float over his head like beautiful clouds and he much rather smile and wave at such passing spoken thoughts than analyze them. He never questions the lies others speak to him, but instead believe that when two and two don’t go together, it’s his fault for misunderstanding. However, don’t mistake his naivety for inexperience. Guy knows the world of sex (and enjoys it), he doesn’t mistake a one-night stand for a romance or a romance for a one-night stand. Guy understands the complexities of relationships – well, he may not know the actual complexities of relationships, but Guy knows that relationships have a complex nature and that is close enough. Furthermore, Guy is susceptible to being influenced by others, even if he knows it is a bad situation. He easily falls to peer pressure when it comes to alcohol, drugs, sex, and of the likes as he lacks the critical ability to analyze other’s intentions.

When it comes to interacting with others, Guy likes the light-hearted things. He hates unnecessary drama as it sits on his shoulders like a weight. Instead, Guy enjoys the little things in life – he lives for the moments in which friends just play together, pushing each other into lakes and telling cheerful, punny jokes that makes the whole group cringe. When lighthearted situations turn heavy, Guy is quick to change the subject or atmosphere – his best solution to everything is avoidance. Though he would like to be there for his friends when they are in need of advice, Guy is unable to give advice, and so he likes to distract people from their problems instead. If Guy is ever hurt by his friends, he would hide it from them and force himself to think that he was reading too much into the problem, that he’s overreacting. He does this until the tension builds behind his skin, burrowing in the cracks of his skull, and winding him up and up and up until someone breaks the dam and his frustrations and sadness is on display for everyone to see (though they probably saw it before hand, as Guy is terrible at hiding his feelings).

It is easy for Guy to make friends. He rather likes hanging out with others – when he’s by himself, he thinks too much – and it’s the driving force behind his every action to strangers. When Guy has his sights on someone he wants as a friend, he won’t stop until they acknowledge a friendship of sorts. He’s overly friendly and has a tendency to avoid personal space of others, or to be too physically comfortable with them in that he plants kisses on their cheeks or hugs them and clings to them. Guy is the type to demand phone numbers and friendly outings with a stranger rather than slowly ease someone into a friendship with him – he’d rather twist their arm (metaphorically speaking, of course) into being his friend than wait for them to come to him. In this way, Guy can be obnoxious. He doesn’t know when to stop and leave people alone; he’ll constantly badger someone until they make it abundantly clear that they want him gone. 

Guy’s fatal flaw is his impulsivity. He never thinks before he acts. This has led him astray many times – he has almost drowned, he has gotten accused of stealing (he thought that it wasn’t stealing if it was still on the store’s property and he wanted to do a science experiment damnit!), and many other unbearable situations for relatives and friends. Despite this major misgiving, Guy is rather confident in his personality and whole being. He knows that he’s good-looking, that he’s smart (when it comes to science), and that he has an attractive personality – but he is aware that he has limits (though he has no clue what those limits are, he knows they exist). He doesn’t care if people think he is weird because he likes aliens and ghosts and acts like a child, because at the end of the day – he has friends and he’s getting some (plus he’s totally right ‘cause aliens do exist, guys. They do!).

👽P H Y S I C A L  E V A L U A T I O N:👽
Guy has the type of face that, the more you stare at it, the more attractive he becomes. He’s of Korean descent (with a tad bit of Taiwanese in there as well). His skin is tanner than most and he is quite proud of it – he hates when his skin comes off as pale in pictures and videos as he prefers the natural tan he was born with (and has added more color to with the help of the Nevada sun). When it comes to his face, he has a nice jaw – not too soft, not too hard – and smooth cheek bones. His face is untouched by acne (or, at least, hasn’t been touched by the hands of hormones since his seventeenth birthday we don’t talk about how he breaks out when he is really stressed about school). Guy’s nose is small and flat – nothing completely remarkable or unique. And he has dark eyes that are not completely black, but are more than the darkest of browns. Guy is guilty of applying guyliner, but fuck gender roles – he’ll do what he wants! When he was a child, his ears used to be so huge that he looked like Dumbo; he has grown into them a little bit. His ears are still a little bit big for his head, but he uses silver hoop earrings to distract from the size. The most striking feature on the canvas that is Guy’s face is his mouth. They possess a peculiar round figure and the upper is thicker than the lower; whenever he smiles, his mouth seems to form a rather odd shape that can only be described as a boxy grin – it’s weirdly charming and endearing.

There is no point in describing Guy’s hair – he has a tendency to change the color every week. It is originally a brown, not dark or light, and he sometimes recolors his hair as a sort of throwback tribute. He usually keeps his hair styled in a way that covers his forehead and eyebrows with nicely cut bangs. Hair maintenance is rather important to him because he dyes it so much and it should come as no surprise that he owns a rather expensive hair kit as well as the best of the best shampoo and conditioner. Guy has a masculine, deep baritone voice that tends to take people by shock. There are times when his voice pitches upwards when surprised or in pain, but his voice tends to show the wide range of his emotions and is rather raw with feeling. Guy smells like his coconut shampoo and conditioner, but there is a small hint of oolong tea and sharpies that clings to his clothes.

When it comes to fashion, Guy doesn’t like keeping himself defined to one style. He likes to mix it up every now and then – and his guilty pleasure is dressing up as high school stereotypes. There are weeks where he will be dressed like a rich son that belongs on a golf course, and other times like a jock that belongs in High School Musical. However, his favorite outfits tend to gravitate more towards an indie and punk looks. He alternates between John Lennon glasses and brown jackets to leather jackets and black skinny jeans. However, if he doesn’t plan to go anywhere, he enjoys chilling in plain t-shirts of various colors and regular jeans and a snapback.

Guy's body type isn't anything impressive. He's of average height, 5'11", and he has a lean body. He's not overly muscular, and he doesn't possess a six pack, but his stomach is rather attractive in that slightly defined way.

Guy Lee is a third generation Korean. Both his parents were born and raised in the United States; his mother, Mary Lee (nee Jeon), was raised in California by her Korean father and Taiwanese mother while his father, Godfrey Lee, was raised in Georgia. There was an eleven year age gap between the two; Mary was twenty-four when they married while Godfrey was thirty-five. 

Hilariously enough, Godfrey and Mary married a day after meeting each other - in viva Las Vegas. Godfrey was there for his own bachelor party while Mary was visiting with her friends as a college graduation celebration. They happened to get blackout drunk and woke up the next morning with ring pops on their fingers. Of course, the next course of action would have been a quick divorce - but Mary may have gotten knocked up on their  “honeymoon” (a week after they filed for divorce, Godfrey was dumped by his fiance and so Mary decided on throwing him a spontaneous honeymoon party consisting of the two, bad romance movies, and lots of booze; things may have escalated). Being the traditional man he was, Godfrey refused to go through with the divorce because he wanted to support Mary and he did not want another man to be a father to his child. Mary was young, fresh out of college, and shunned by her parents for her rash actions; Godfrey was the only thing keeping Mary and her unborn baby off the streets. Of course they fell in love after a while, as people are wont to do, and four years after Guy was born, they had another child. This time, a girl, named Missy.

Guy grew up in the loving arms of a wonderful, free family. The family was made through unconventional means and so they seemed to embrace unconventional traits in their child. When Guy wanted to go ghost hunting, Mary Lee bought a huge butterfly net for him to catch the ghosts - though Godfrey was adamant that a butterfly net wouldn’t work (he claimed that a jar would work better, but Mary held fast that a butterfly net was the way to go). Guy and Mary were particularly close; at night, Mary would tuck Guy in and read him stories about weird mysterious disappearances linked to aliens and supposed UFO sightings. When Guy asked his mother why she liked aliens so much, she told him the story of his conception dream. In East Asian cultures, there is a belief that a soon-to-be mother or close relatives of the mother will have a dream before the baby is ahem made or even the day of the conception. In such a dream, called a Tae Mong in Korea, fruits and animals are said to appear and, depending on what appears in the dream, that is the gender of the baby. The night of Guy’s conception, Mary had a dream of cranes, golden combs, persimmons, and small snakes made of jewels - something about her wandering in a forest? - and then a UFO crashed where Mary made contact with extraterrestrials! Ever since then, Guy was obsessed with aliens as well. He even tried to get Missy to go searching for ET with him (she refused; she was more of a doll and dinosaur kind of girl, like her father).

Unfortunately, families can’t always live in peace and happiness. Guy was around twelve when his mother died in a car accident - Guy doesn’t remember much about it, he tries to block out the details as much as possible, but there was something about a car not looking before merging and accidentally colliding into his mother’s car. She freaked and tried to control the car, but only made it worse, and the car eventually flipped - there might have been fire if Guy tries to think of it. Because, Guy distinctly remembers feeling a heat grazing his cheek and his mother screaming in the front of the car as a hand tried to reach for him. Guy had been a bit dazed at the time, he had been asleep in the backseat when it happened and everything happened in flashes, like snapshots and pictures. Flash - there’s a car - flash - why is he upside down? - flash and blink - is he dreaming? - flash - why does his foot burn? Guy escaped the car alive, but his ankle was broken and his head split open (he had to have it stapled). His mother, however, had her spine crushed and she died later that night.

Of course his family was sad. For years, they were sad. Mary Lee was the love and joy of the family. Godfrey did his best to provide for his family, he made sure to spend more time than ever at home and there were weeks where he wouldn’t have his kids go to school at all - if that was for him or his children, no one can ever be sure. They spent their time watching documentaries on aliens and ghosts and shopping for beautiful butterfly nets and jam jars. However, Godfrey was still young in mind (not so much in body, he was forty-eight at this point). Missy and Guy weren’t that mad when he got remarried - to his ex-fiance, matter of fact. Her name was Yael and she was a lawyer and originally from Israel before moving to Georgia with her parents at the age of thirteen. Yael tried to be a good mother figure to them, and made it perfectly clear she would never replace their mom (as if they didn’t know that). Despite being a slight control freak, something that did not completely meld with the relaxed Lee family, Guy tried his best to make Yael feel welcome in the family.

When Guy was sixteen, he had broken into his AP Chemistry teacher’s lab in school as a dare from his friends – and because he was, notably, bored and wanted to play with some chemicals. There he mixed multiple questionable chemicals with no labels together in an attempt to identify what they were – only a slight bubbling occurred to signify a reaction. Guy, mystified (leaving unlabeled chemicals around is a no-no), added a few more chemicals, labelled this time, in another attempt to identify the chemicals. When nothing happened, Guy smelled the concoction and, when the sweet aroma of cotton candy and soda entered his nose, Guy prayed to God and drank it. Which, in hindsight, was a bad idea. He felt fine at the moment and went home to go to bed. However, the next day Guy felt feverish and sickish and that’s when he told his step-mother what he had done the night before. His step-mother frantically rushed him to the hospital where multiple tests were taken, but the doctors could not detect any malicious or strange chemicals in his system and they released him with a couple of painkillers.

The next day, Guy was feeling better and decided to take his telescope out at night to look for UFOs at the park. At the park, a few guys from the basketball team destroyed Guy’s expensive telescope. In an enraged fit, Guy accidentally blew up a nearby tree with his now-active powers. Of course, no one could link the strange occurrence to him, and they shrugged the incident off as a lightning strike. However, SHIELD thought otherwise.
