“Oh come on, come on! Come on you beautiful gorgeous thing you!” A young man shouted at a control panel as he stared off at the massive screen ahead of him. “Just land, I don’t care where, I don’t care when but if you land I promise I’ll give you a break for a while. No instantly travelling we’ll just… camp out for a bit!” He shouted at the machine giving it a pat as he jumped around to another control panel attached to the center conceal, “I promise, no random places for a while. We’ll plan things I swear just be a good girl and land… oh,” He turned his attention upwards. “And please don’t kill me, that would be nice too.” A cheesy grin spread across his face showing his white teeth as he gripped onto the railing behind him.

“Oh that’s a good girl. LOS GEHT!!!!” He shouted as the screen flashed black and the whole compartment rocked back and forth; during the commotion what did the young man do? The young man gripping onto the railing with his arms bent around the wood. His body nearly being thrown around because it was the biggest commotion the thing he was in had ever caused… he was laughing.

CRASH BOOM SHAKE SHAKE SHAKE the room went crazy and the young man just kept laughing before everything settled. The man then dashed back to the conceal and hit a button and turned to the screen behind him. The large screen popped up with a picture of beautiful London England. Symbols scribbled across the bottom of the screen translated into his language telling him exactly where he was. “Ah London England Earth 2014. Your fail-safe return place. Fair enough, I’ll find something to entertain myself.” With that the brown haired young man pulled a pen out of his jacket pocket and clicked the top. The bottom of the pen began to flash. “Oh goodie!” He said with way too much excitement as he took off up the stairs and down a small hallway to a door.

Pulling it open he stepped out into an alleyway and looked behind him. A single door sat at a large building in London. The door looked a bit random but it was there. Just, a single door against a red brick wall. Maybe he shouldn’t have taken the white TARDIS but then again, he can find the door easy, even in the snow he’ll spot the black handle.

Smiling he looked down at his pen, the pen told him everything about anything he wanted to know but the sudden flow of information that came to him was highly important and interesting. “Oooohhhh.” he said quickly as he took off towards the direction where the pen was telling him to go. Dressed in a dress jacket, a button up blue shirt and a pair of slacks, he looked like a running business name with a pen in his hand. His feet slowed down at a building as he looked up, finding that he was in front of a post office. “Really?” He said in disbelief as he looked down at the pen, shrugged than went inside.

Hazel knew her mother would work it out eventually. That she wasn't really getting paid for the occasional articles she posted across for her mother to show off. But, still, she wiggled the magazine clipping in to the envelope and sent it off anyway, to try and hold up some sort of dignity. To try and keep up the fantasy that tens of thousands of pounds of student loans were worth it, at least. It didn't seem to work, but it kept her mother happy, at least.
So the clipping was pushed in to the little window, paid for it, and then she turned to leave. But there was no real reason to stick around here, apart from her own stubborn pride. She didn't know where she was, not really. Yes, central London, but what she was doing was just like dying. She'd wanted an adventurous life, not to organise everything for someone else. Still, she wouldn't just give in. And she'd find someone for that work dinner, she hoped.
The phone rang in her back pocket. Her mother, probably, but she ignored it as she headed back to the door to leave, pausing to look at the phone when it started ringing again. Unknown number, odd. Still, it didn't really matter, did it?

The young man stumbled his way into the Post office surprised to see that it was somewhat busy. “Huh.” He said allow looking around. Obviously the look of interest and excitement from walking into a post office confused onlookers while others completely ignored his presence.

The Doctor turned on his heel starting in the direction he direction he was feeling before realizing he nearly smacked into a woman who was holding her phone and giving a funny expression. “Oh!” His voice was filled with a sense of urgency and snagged the phone from her. Sliding the little bar he placed it to his ear. “Hello? No this isn’t Hazel.” His blue eyes flicked to the girl he took the phone from, memorizing her face and documenting in his busy mind her name. “Oh me, I’m the Doctor.” He said in the phone, “Why would you call Miss Hazel? Oh… Oh I see… you don’t want to tell me. Don’t hang up, don’t… do… drat.” He said sharply pulling the phone away from his ear and staring down at it for a moment.

Turning to the girl named Hazel he gave her a smile. “Hi. You got a weird phone call, they know you but you don’t know them. You might want to get a new phone. Not a number, a whole phone. So I’ll take this and you won’t have to worry about it. Bye.” Talking faster than his tongue should have been able to keep up, The Doctor was out the door and half way down the road before long. His pen in his hand he was scanning over the front of the screen with the tip making noise of ‘oh’ and ‘ah’ and ‘huh’ as he did. Maybe it had something to do that he was going through some of her personal information… or it could have to do with the phone call he was now tracking. See! Something interesting always happens saving him from being bored!

Hazel stared in shock as he snatched her phone from her. He being the madman who was currently stealing her phone. "No, no." She scolded as he started talking on her phone, too embarrassed to try and snatch it back. "No. No no no, you don't just get to nick my phone." And then he started walking off with it, after making some stupid speech about not giving back her phone.

"You think I'll let you walk off with my phone? Like my boss won't kill me for not answering his damn calls about which meeting he's supposed to be in tomorrow?" She shouted after him, walking quickly to catch up to him as he wandered off waving his stick around. "I think yes, Miss Hazel does need her phone back, thank you. I'm not letting you just walk off with it like you're some sort of sexy psychotic swindler! Oh my god, are you going through my texts? Do you know how wrong that is? How did you even get in there? There's a password!" She snapped, stepping in front of his path.

She paused for a minute, looking at him steadily, trying to make up her mind about him. "Who the hell even are you?" She asked, eyebrows knitted together as she held out her hand for the phone, hoping that she would get the damn thing back.

‘You think I’d let you walk off with my phone?’ She questioned him only to his surprise of finding her jumping in front of him. The Doctor’s feet pulled to a halt at her sudden appearance and his eyebrows rose in surprise. It wasn’t very often that people talked back to him; most just knew the best thing to do was let him do his work and make sure no one was getting in his way. At her question though, he nodded, which probably wasn’t the correct answer.

His eyebrows lowered when she asked him who he was. To this he couldn’t help but grin largely; “I’m the Doctor.” His head nodded as his blue eyes twinkled with mystery wonder and a lot of knowledge. He looked down at her hand outstretched and placed his free one inside of her hand giving her a handshake before holding his hand with the phone high up in the air. He had a good five inches on her in height and with his arm extended, it was out of her reach.

“So Miss Hazel, now that we have introductions out of the way; I need you to take me to 186 Bakers Street NE. You keep getting random phone calls with no sound on the other end? Except once right… sound like garbling talk huh?” He smirked down at her, knowing something she most likely didn’t share with anyone else. “You take me to Bakers street you’ll get answers and your phone… and I’ll get my answers…” Without really thinking of it, he spoke aloud, his attention turned to the phone. “Don’t know why you take such value in your phone… why not just call your friend as ask her opinion on a dress instead of texting her. It just seems so impersonal. Then again the picture looked nice, I hope you bought it.” Oh yeah… he completely invaded her privacy but did he see it like that… not really.

Frowning, Hazel looked the man- The Doctor- up and down, not bothering to hide how doubtful she was about him. He didn't even look her age, too young to be a proper doctor of anything, never mind medicine. Unless he had been some immense child genius, now somewhat unhinged by pressure, or whatever a child genius had to cope with. Still, she didn't have to be rude. But she was anyway. "Right. One. Your name can't just be The. Who names their child 'the'?" She laughed, pulling a face as if to say 'I'm not actually a total idiot'.

"Two, that's the road next to mine, what's going on with that? And answers, don't want them. Just the phone. And for you to stop being creepy, which leads me to point number three." The dress he'd mentioned was probably the one hanging on the front of her wardrobe now, the one for tomorrow night's dinner-celebration-thing. Simple, but probably a little bit too risky to wear when you were no longer dating your superior, but still, she couldn't exactly afford another now. And if it was risky enough to tempt him back, then she'd not refuse. She tried her best not to feel like a total idiot for that.

"That's personal. What I send, through my locked, passworded phone, is my business. Mine. Be happy you weren't flicking through any other contacts." She snapped, straightening up to make herself as intimidating as possible, or at least an attempt at such. "Look, I'll get you there, you give me the phone. I'm going that way anyway. And you can drop the miss, it's not exactly the nineteenth century any more, love."

His head tilted from side to side listening to what she said, a small smile along his fine lips as he listened. Huh… so calling himself The Doctor wouldn’t exactly be accepted in this time frame. “Then all me John Smith.” His brought and cheery tone was probably less than she wanted to deal with at this point. That much he figured out from her repeated statement that sounded like he was invading her privacy. There’s no way he was invading her privacy, a simple password locked phone was next to nothing for him to deal with; but maybe it bothered her.

Mentally shrugging he turned back to listen to her only to find that she would agree. A large grin moved across his face flashing his bright white teeth at her. “Brilliant! Let’s go.” But it wasn’t until she made a comment about dropping the ‘miss’ from his vocabulary that he stopped his motions to move and turned to her. His head cocked to one side watching her closely before closing the gap between them. “A woman doesn’t like to be called Miss?” He asked softly. “Fine---“ With that he reached down, grabbing her hand without warning and giving the top of it a gentle kiss before turning his twinkling blue eyes to her. “Love.”

With that he dropped her hand and stepped back, creating the gap between them before gesturing. “Lead the way--- Love.”

John Smith? This had to be a joke. It was ridiculous, even as he snatched her hand to kiss it. He was doing this on purpose. Was he just mad, or was he some psychotic predator trapping her in. But he knew her, he'd known her name, since whoever was at the end of the phone wasn't speaking to her at all.

With that in mind, Hazel started striding off, hoping to lose him in the crowds. It wasn't worth this for her phone. She was due an upgrade pretty soon anyway, she thought. But she'd keep walking and point him in the right direction, and life would go on. Hopefully. She didn't say much, just pushed her hair out of her face as she looked back and gestured for him to follow her.

Why the hell had he kissed her hand? Where was he from? No, that didn't seem right. It was better to ask 'when was he from?', but she didn't ask, since that would verge on weird. "Really, what's going on?" She asked eventually, glancing back to him.
