The Year is 2789 14 years into the Martian Reclamation wars began, the Earth Expeditionary Force (E.E.F.) has taken control of four colonies on the planet and decimated dozens more in there war to reclaim the red world from the insurrectionists that forced them off the planet two years ago and destroyed the jump gates connecting the Red Planet from Earth effectively cutting off al supplies to the Fleets above the planet. But now with the second Expeditionary fleet and its four command carriers the E.E.F. has finally be gone to reign back control of the Rebellious world and bring it back into Earths grasp.

In this you will play as either a Battalion commander or leader of a fighter/bomber wing and slowly work your way up to General/Fleet Admiral
This storyline will directly effect the background story of my online novella series "Fortress".

Neither side is good and neither side is bad the E.E.F. and the Martian Defense Forces have the same ship and weapon types with only slight variations.

I am interested to know how is combat/conflict between two players handled in games like these. As from what I undestood there are no strict rules involved.

Yeah... when I was younger, I usualy liked to read forums about roleplaying, there were Megaman and a lot of different things. People would just decide if they hit or not, even before the defender would even know they were attacking. Sometimes a player would just kill other with an attack and it was just idiotic. I think that is why I have developed a fear of the lack of rules. Even the tiniest lack of rule in any game or something that lets players take a bit of freedom makes me a little uncomfortable. But I get your point.
