Name: Alice Park (Hae Cha Park)
Age: 22
Gender: Female
Sexuality: Heterosexual
General Appearance:
Alice ParkLooking at her face to face, she comes to just under 5’5” barefoot, feet planted on the ground. Her dark brown eyes, the windows to her soul, are dark and brooding, yet cute in the everyday light, and if you look closely enough, you may notice the clear contacts in her eyes. Long, auburn hair frames her face, spiral curled at the ends, it has been cut, colored, and bleached many times through her childhood, yet it still has a healthy sheen. Although not pale, her hair draws color from her skin, making her appear almost as white as a sheet, even with the little makeup she wears. You will also find her to be very tiny in build, as if you could crush her with little force, but what little curves she does have, prove that she is indeed female. Often seen in graphic tees, jeans, and colorful Chuck Taylors, she will wear jumpers and dresses every once in a while, often accompanied with heels that give her a bit of a height boost.
Personality: Hae sees the world through mostly black and white because she rarely takes the time to get to know people. When she isn’t reading literature, or studying and drawing plants for her personal botanical encyclopedia, she’s listening to music, one of the only ways she partly meets with her heritage, where she also derives her fashion sense and love of cute things from. She sees no reason to venture outside of her comfort zone, almost as if she’s afraid to, and feels perfectly content with little to no change at all. She doesn’t talk much, often in an annoyed tone, as if she couldn’t be bothered. When she is emotional, she often defaults to a more Korean-sounding accent, like her grandmother’s, whose English is nowhere near as proficient as her daughter’s or grandchildren’s. Hae’s biggest fear is lack of acceptance, so she often tries to blend in, though bits of her character outshine this, and she is noticed just for her appearance alone. If she’s teased or bullied, she doesn’t fight back or cause a scene, but will often cry and become more of a recluse, often lashing out at people if they get too close when she’s vulnerable.
History: Born to a family of three, Hae and her older brother Dae Ho was raised by her mother, father, and grandmother. Her mother was a Botanist and a gardener. Hae especially loved the strawberries that her mother grew, and how the house smelled of drying spices in the summer months. Her father, a professor at the same university, was quiet, though very involved with his family. Her grandmother, mother of her father, was very traditional, making sure Hae and Dae both grew up in a bilingual and bi-cultural household. Her parents didn’t have many friends, and often, though their children were very popular for being smart and athletic, they didn’t invite many people over. Instead, Hae became very quiet and bookish, often interested more in her mother’s quiet work, while her brother grew to be a sort of playboy, smart, but preferring to woo women and not focus on studies. He protected her, as an older brother should, but he also made fun of her poor eyesight and messy hair as a child. She grew to be quiet, distant, and calculating, only opening up to her older brother. Before he left for college, he requested that she get a makeover, opening her eyes to the world of fashion. Although it didn’t turn her into a supermodel overnight, she was much prettier and more noticed than before, though she didn’t use that to her advantage, instead only having a couple close friends and a boyfriend for a short time before entering college, in which she followed in her mother’s footsteps to study Plant Biology, where she became even more adamant about being to herself. That wasn’t to say she had no interest in people. She just didn’t go out of her way to get to know them or have them know her. Instead, she worked, she read, and she lived her life wanting something more, but never venturing out to get it until now, where she has managed to escape reality.
