As you can see my thread is about quite a serious situation; our current systems of government, democracy, corruption, rebellion.
The basics of the story will be centered around a large organization comprised of average everyday folk. People who are disenfranchised with society. This group begins to grow in strength, and uses it's numbers to assert it's own authority in the government. By violent and immoral means. Whatever has to be done to accomplish the end results. No matter how brutal or barbaric it seems.
In fact they welcome the sight of blood and are not averse to struggle. They do not believe in protest, in voting, in public demonstration. They believe in fear and cold calculated acts of aggression. Because of this they will be, rightfully so, labelled as terrorists and they are the top target priority in the country. However the movement is spreading like wildfire with mostly unemployed young men composing the ranks.
"Give up your fake life and friends. Join a real brotherhood." Is common recruitment propaganda that you can find on walls in most areas. Layers of paint from city workers blot it out and the next day a new one appears. A little microcosm of war, unable to be stopped.
The organization is splintered off into many little cells, with individual goals, needs and missions. But they are all at the mercy of the hierarchy in one way or another. There is levels of leadership, there is order. There are contacts, there are meetings. You follow orders or you are targeted by the other groups. This is not anarchy. It is merely an effective way to keep an organization alive and kicking. By having many different groups who are capable of being combat effective, while spread out far and wide. Small enough that one loss or bust won't even slightly cripple the organization as a whole.
Goals of the organization:
- Assassination
- Blackmail
- Destruction
- Hacking
- Heists
- Propaganda distribution
- Recruitment
- Social engineering
- Terrorism
Possibilities for characters:
- A footsoldier in a large group inside the organization
- A leader of a large group inside the organization
- Law enforcement double agent, betrays the system and helps the organization
- Law enforcement infiltrator, tries to penetrate higher leadership in the organization to shut it down
- News reporter
Victory for the organization:
So what would victory look like for this extremely vicious organization?
That's a great question!
But can it really be decided right now? So much is beyond us, so much will change and evolve.
The important thing is we are taking charge, and finally taking command of our lives. We are punishing those who have for so long misused our trust, and degraded our lives. The future is ours.
Besides, haven't you heard of compartmentalization?
