Danielle lounged in the absolutely terrible place she was forced to call her room, staring up at the ceiling with a carefully crafted look of boredom mixed with superiority; if anyone dared speak to her, it would morph to a look that said, this had better be worth my time.

Not exactly an expression conducive to making friends, but that wasn't why she was here.

The door was pushed open impatiently. "Subject S7!" The man barked. "Training with Subject S1 in ten. Report to the gym." Turning on his heel, the man didn't even bother to close the door behind him.

Sighing, Danielle slid off the bed and started slithering her way out of the barracks and towards the gym. Subject S1, known to the demi-snakes as Morgan, taught them in snake-specific abilities. She was also the female demi-snakes' instructor in using their looks to their advantage, which could be hard to do, considering the fact that they all had tails instead of legs.

All in all, despite her act, training with Morgan was one of the few things Danielle actually liked about this place.

Sitting crosslegged in the back of a transport vehicle, Kian itched irritably at the chains that bound his wings. He had worn them for years, much to Dusk's rage. As she put it, no raven-kin should be bound thus. It was a sentence worse than death, for a raven to lose use of their wings. That Kian had never had the use of his wings enraged her even more.

Egg-brother well? Dusk cawed, cocking her head inquisitively. That was a raven term, egg-brother. Dusk had taught Kian the proper way for a raven to speak.

Egg-brother well. Kian assured his only friend, speaking in the same caws as she. Egg-sister well?

Egg-sister well. The raven confirmed, ruffling her feathers with pleasure. It never failed to please her when Kian spoke the raven tongue. Human-move-on-stones stopped.

The ravens had no word for yes; instead they stated a fact. Feathers-night-dark. Kian agreed. Return to nest? In other words, are we back home?

Dark as moon. Dusk replied with a negative. Dog-nest over mountains. Dog nest - bad nest. Over mountains - far away.

Then the door at the back of the truck opened and two men came in. One carried a cage; the other grabbed Dusk and forced her into it. Egg-sister! Kian cried, lunging towards her, but he was restrained as his friend was taken away. Fly in darkness! He called. Stay safe. Then she was gone.

"Your companion will be well taken care of... as long as you behave." The remaining man informed the demi-raven, shoving him out of the truck, where a demi was waiting. "Show him around. He's in Room A5." The human informed the demi, then went on his way.

Kaya was exhausted, rolling on her bed and wincing as a bolt of pain flared, she stilled and fpushed on her breathing. She'd been up all of the night before, test after test and so on, she'd only been given a bowl of cool soup and bread. Sano had been taken from her during the tests and she'd yet to see her friend, with another sigh she rose and stretched her aching muceles.

She so far only knew her room, the test lab and the brief glimpse of the Cafeteria she'd managed to get before being blindfolded and man-handled down the endless halls. The sound of footsteps echoing in the hall had Kaya tensing and listening, her ears flicking tried before stilling. The sound of keys entering the bolt of her door had Kaya rising to her bare feet, her head tilting as the door opened and two men appeared, guns in their hands.

"Time to move Alpha." One gruffly stated, Kaya blinked her eyes and moved forward, her expression blank. Entering the halls she felt a hand on her neck and another gripping her arms behind her back, her mask slipped and her muscles tensed in preperation to flee, the only thing that stopped her was a faint familiar voice whispering against her mind.

Don't fight Kay, they want you to. Remain calm and they'll let you see me Sano's voice was soft and tired, Kaya felt herself relaxing and allowed herself to be guided down the halls, the name 'Alpha' was sorting she'd be called from now one was what a woman in white had told her last night. Her results were the best so far so she deserved the title, wincing when a tug drew her attention she focused on the door they stood in front of, the smell of chemicals filling her nose. Not more tests, she was tired. Wincing when the door opened and see was pushed inside, Kaya swallowed and scanned the dark room.

Now what? She thought softly, hands absently wrapping around her taIL as silence filled her ears.

Austin stood, eyes narrowed at the close presence of the guards. He was dragged out of his room, more cell, apparently to show a new arrival around. His nose flared, and he let out a huff of air. He yawned, the light flashing off of his canines. His ears twitched as the car grew closer, able to hear the approach much longer before the car was actually on scene. He stared at the transport truck, stepping back to allow the men to step in and retrieve the Demi. He watched, his ears twitching at the sounding of cawing, taking a deep breath, his lip curling. Another damn bird. He hated their annoying sounds, always chattering and chirping. At least his communication is quiet. His ears pinned back in dislike in the flurry of sound, a small growl escaping him.

His body relaxed as the sound diminished, taking a deep breath. He watched the companion be carried away, before looking at the Demi that was brought out from the truck. His ear twitched at the order, lifting a lip in a slight baring of teeth as he nodded. He looked at the new arrival, crossing his arms across his chest, tail thrashing slightly behind him. He turned, letting out a small huff, saying, his voice rumbling deep in his chest"follow." He began to walk, not looking back to insure he was being followed. He took a deep breath, figuring that he should initiate normal conversation. Not his greatest ability. HWith a deep breath, he began to speak," welcome to hell. Name's Austin."

Kian watched Dusk be carted away wistfully, then turned his attention to the demi waiting for him. He didn't seem to like the demi-raven that much, if his appearance was anything to go by, but at least his guide was a demi. Scratching again at the chains that bound his wings, he followed the older boy.

He was slightly startled when the demi - no, Austin - spoke to him, and he almost replied in a caw. Clearing his throat, he tried again. "I'm... Kian." He forced out, voice hoarse from disuse. It had been years since he spoke the human tongue; honestly, he was a bit surprised he still remembered the words.

Once again, he scratched irritably at the chains that kept him from flight. They were rather excessive, he thought. One chain on each wing, binding them closed. Two chains around both wings, tying them together. Two chains that crossed over his chest, just to make sure he was well and truly earthbound. Kian wasn't sure if that was just because he was a bird demi, or if the humans just wanted to make him even more miserable; either way, it was overkill.

Letting out a hoarse chuckle, he agreed with Austin. "Hell on... earth, indeed." At least he would be able to move freely, and maybe someday, if they wanted to make full use of him, they would let him fly. A slim hope, yes, but the only hope he had.

The white walled room was his least favorite of all places. It was small, and void of anything of interest. Deep gouges were set along the walls progressing high as the sole inhabitant of the room grew. I killed him to be caged as such, but even more so to know that some how, despite how much he fought, he was helping the people who kept him caged.

From his Perch up on the bed Jay could hear the guards strut down the hall, likely to fetch him for some sort of training. Sure enough a moment later two armed guards swung the door in. "get up." they said, voices hollow. They didn't expect him to listen, rightfully so. "now" one of them added after Jay gave no sign of getting up. He glared at them, sizing them up, looking for a weak spot in their attire. Finding no such spot he begrudgingly stepped off the bed and approached. "I'm going to kill you one of theses days you know?" he chided, his eyes meeting the taller of the guard's. They weren't fazed, he hadn't killed anyone yet.

What came next was the usual for Jay. He approached the guards, they reached out to grab a hold of him. He made a grab for the one of the guns hanging on their side. There'd be a small fight as he struggled to get the gun off one. The other would come to the rescue, pulling him off, then bind his hands behind his back. Then the two would push him along to where ever they needed him to be. Today it was a dark room.

Inside the four white walls was another demi, holding her tail in her hands. His pale yellow eyes stared at her, as though trying to decide weather she was real or not.

"who are you?" He said, still full of scorn that he'd been bothered so they could toss him in a smaller room with another person.

"They call me Alpha. So I guess that's what others should call me by, my real name stays with me." Kaya's voice was quiet, monotone and tired sounding. Her hands released her tail and she blinked her eyes slowly, for the time being she'd explore the too they'd shoved her in. Keeping a weary glanced on the new person in the room with her Kaya began to explore the room, it was larger and seemed void of anything except the door they'd been tossed through.

Why put them in a room with nothing? We're they expecting something to happen? A fight maybe?

Sighing softly and lifting a hand to run across the cool wall that signaled she'd reached the other end of the room, Kaya shifted until her back was pressed against it. Sliding down into her arms were wrapped around her drawn up knees, Kaya's emerald eyes closed as a yawn escaped her mouth, she could feel Sano slipping into sleep from whwee they had him. It was early and she knew that, however she'd been kept awake all night and it was starting to catch up with her. Tail wrapping around her bare feet and ears drooping she allowed her eyes to close, she wasn't going to sleep, not with this person here with her and Sano not by her side. Though she hopes if she faked it, whatever was wanted from them would be explained or at least set into motion.

Sonia's entire body was still, eyes closed, ears poised for any sounds moving through the barracks. That's when she heard them, the familiar thud of thick military-grade boots. Suddenly, her door was unlocked, and opened, and two men stood before her. At first, she paid them no mind, opting to keep her eyes closed, and ears listening. A moment passed before she was grabbed off of her bed and pulled toward the door. She didn't bother fighting, or struggling, and allowed them to guide her down the hallway until the sound of a running truck filled her ears. Mm... I guess it's finally time for a move. She didn't bother speaking, or protesting as she was pushed into the back of a large black van, the doors quickly slammed behind her.

The night previous, Reri had been taken from her and put in a small dog carrier. Much like her half-fox counterpart, Reri knew better than to fight, and simply let the soldiers take her. They both knew the move was coming, and where they were going. The main scientist that studied her at the first facility had told her that she was being prepped to be sent to the training grounds. The male seemed slightly perplexed at the fact that she hadn't been moved earlier, but chalked it up to bureaucratic red tape. Sonia didn't seem surprised. Her departure was probably delayed due to her prior behavioral issues.

The ride in the van was about 8 hours, and when she was finally pulled from the vehicle she found the afternoon sun seated high in the sky. A few feet from her were the gates into the obviously large training facility. It was finally time for her to be situated into the life of a true soldier, it seemed. But, was she truly ready for that?

After an attempt to make a step toward the gate, Sonia was pulled back, and one of the soldiers standing on either side of her grabbed his radio. "Trickster has been relocated, send one of the subjects with armed escorts to guide her." He spoke, his voice deep and cold. After a moment there was a response of verification on his radio, and so the trio waited for her escort to arrive.

"right, watever." he said, mostly to the door whose handle he was trying to break off most ineffectively. After several unhelpful minuets he turned his back to the door. He scanned the empty room before coming to the conclusion that the girl and he were the only ones in the room. He slid down to the floor, mirroring her action. He glared at her for a moment, leaving the room silent.

"Have you tried to get out, or..." He hissed, barely audible as though he felt someone might be listening, leaving the though hang mid air. He thought for once o how he aught to word his phrase.
"or were you going to help them?" he jeered, deciding to find out in the most direct way.

His stare didn't leave her for a second. It threatened, at times, to search the room again, to look for something else, but he knew there was nothing aside from her to pose any sort of threat and therefore no reason to shift his gaze.

Head jerking up at the words, Kaya's lips pulled back and a soft snarl escaped her lips, rising to her bare feet she reached for the hair ties that she kept around her wrists.

"I'm still under the effects of a injection they stabbed into me before I was transported here. From there I've been tested upon and haven't been given time to sleep, barely any good to eat. Do you think I'd help them?" Her voice was soft but the words seemed to echo in the room, fingers absently tying her long hair back and away from her face, she relaxed and eyed the male before her. "Help me get out of here? With both of us it should be easy, I'd like explore a bit." Her emerald eyes flashed briefly as she scans the room once more, moving towards the door, Kaya hums sodfly as her knuckles wrap on the metal, with both of them pushing, the door would give quicker then if only one of them pushed, nodding she half-turned to the other male and waited for a response. @Classpet

Austin's ears twitched in slight disgust and dislike, letting out a huff of air. To himself he thought, He spends too much time speaking to that damn bird. Well not anymore. He was slightly bitter, having not been able to see Nemar for several months. He responded, his voice gruff," thank you for now responding in that annoying cawing, that nonsense hurts my ears."

He noticed the scratching, and eyed the chains, his nose crinkling in dislike. Sure, he might not think highly of birds, but it's cruel to do that to someone. Locking away some aspect of themself to never use. He wish he could free him, but that would only end badly for the both of them.

He let out a short, breif laugh, shaking his head. "You thought the last place was bad, you are gonna be in for one hell of a shock. Just wait until they start the tests, and trainings, and trails." His eyes narrowed, looking around. He wasn't doing a good job at telling him what things were, but if they wanted someone good to show him around, there was several better than he was. @LadyTale

"Dusk told... me. Raven-speak is for ravens. Not... for others." Kian shrugged. "I... only spoke to Dusk. Then... came here. Can't always... remember human-speak." He figured he might as well explain why his speech was so fragmented; he guessed he'd be seeing a lot of non-birds, and would need to practice. Hopefully he'd relearn human language as easily as he learned raven-speak.

"Wish I... could fly." He grumbled. "Landbound... not good for ravens." Kian then realized that he'd spoken more in a few minutes than he had in years, and shut up. His throat was beginning to hurt a bit from the unfamiliar exercise, anyway. The demi-raven stalked along behind Austin, frowning slightly. Were it not for the chains, he would have looked almost menacing, clad in black and oddly scarred as he was. Instead, he looked like just another prisoner, discontent with his lot and unable to change it.

Jay rose to his feet as well, sharp claws digging into the door as he went. He understood the starvation and the cruelty they had made her endure, having lived through it himself. "Yeah, I'll help you get out. I've been trying to get away for ages, if we manage to get out of here then you can explore. Just, not in this place though. Outside. In the open." He hushed, before returning his attention to the door.

With great effort he shoved the knob downward, attempting to break it off. It only bent slightly but it was something at least.

He guessed that if the handle could somehow come off then the lock would be exposed, and they'd be able to escape. He'd done it once to his own door ages ago, but after that he hadn't been back in a room with them to try again. Hopefully, he thought, with help from Alpha, or whatever her name was, they'd be able to get out of this prison and far, far away.

"Morgan." Danielle nodded once to her teacher, then greeted the other demi-snake girls. "What're we doing today?"

"Seduction." Much to the students's surprise, Morgan spoke in a low, sultry voice for that one word. Then her voice returned to normal. "Some humans have very strange taste; at some point, you'll be required to seduce such men to accomplish your mission."

"Gross." One of the girls complained. Privately, Danielle agreed, but kept her expression slightly bored. She was one of the best when it came to hiding emotions.

"Nonetheless, you'll have to do it. Now, let's start with..." Morgan started by outlining the basics, then set the girls up in pairs to practice. Some, like Danielle, had a fair bit of experience with this; some were new to it. Morgan paired up with the girl who had just arrived last week; Danielle was paired with a girl who had been there one year less than she. This will be interesting.

12:00, mess hall

As she always did during lunch, Danielle sized up the demis around her, seeking out those who might be discontent enough to want to revolt. It was a major goal of hers, to get out of the hellhole the humans called a training facility. One demi-snake was not enough to take on a whole compound of humans, however, and so she sought allies. Already, she had three snakes, a bird, two canines, and a feline as allies. Today, her targets were a newly-arrived vulpine and another feline. The vulpine, she would tackle later. The feline, however, she had kept an eye on for quite a while. Now would be her time to speak to her first target.

Picking up her tray, Danielle left the line of demis waiting for sustenance and slithered over to rest next to her target. "I can't help but notice that you don't appreciate the efforts of our not-so-benevolent overlords." She spoke quietly, words coming out with a slight hiss. "Could it be that you don't wish to be their obedient little soldier?" Keeping her eyes on her food, Danielle waited for a response. Hopefully her target would be amenable to her suggestions.

Austin sat down at a table, letting his hand run through his white hair and over his ears, his tail flicking behind him. He looked down at the food that was placed in front of him, letting out a puff of air and slowly poking it around his plate. He rested his head on his hand, slowly getting a bite ready on the fork. He had just lifted it up to his mouth when someone next to him began talking. His ears twitched and he let out a small sigh, turning to look and recognizing the person as Daniella. And here he was hoping for a semi peaceful lunch. He turned back to his plate and finished his bite before speaking slowly, and quietly, his voice rumbling in his chest. "Anyone content enough to stay here and be the governments slave is an idiot."

He took another bite, swallowing the food that just didn't quite satisfy the predators hunger in him. Something the scientists had used multiple times in multiple ways, taking his natural hunger for meet and using it against him. He was leaving Daniella to decipher what she wished out of what he said, he did know that he wasn't happy however. @LadyTale

Whatever it was those idiots stuck Jay in a room for was never going to be accomplished. He and Alpha hadn't even managed to pry the door open by the time the gaurds came and took them off to their own separate places before lunch.

Hours past before they came for him. He was less lucky at escaping and only managed one good punch at the guards before he was handcuffed and dragged off to the cafeteria.

Like other uncooperative demis they used starvation as a punishment. Jay didn't care, they could sit him in a room full of food all they wanted to, nothing they offered could be considered tastful anyway. Or so he told himself.

He sat with a guard by the wall watching others move about freely. That was the one thing he couldn't lie to himself about wanting; freedom. For now though he distracted himself with hassling the guard. He was a young fellow and obviously startled by the descriptions Jay could come up with of how to kill.

Whispering threats was not what he wanted to do, but it was the best way to ignore his hunger.

"Well said." Danielle said, a satisfied smile touching her lips briefly. She had been right about this one. "Perhaps you'd like to do something about our situation?" Casting a quick glance at him, she allowed him to see the honesty in her eyes. Her plans would fail if he thought her lying or attempting to trick him.
