Brief Synopsis
Long ago, in ages so far gone that even the gods and spirits have forgotten about, there were multiple worlds floating about in a nexus of sorts. One day, the boundaries separating nine different worlds broke, spiriting away various chunks and mashing them together into a tenth entirely new plane of existence known as The Nine Heavens Frontier. Naturally, the inhabitants of the nine worlds weren't very pleased with the sundering and thus fought against each other in a bid to rule this bountiful new garden, hoping to take the resources and wealth of their neighbors and forge a united empire. The plains and rivers grew red from spilled blood even as the skies filled with the shadows of crows and ravens. A million swords plunged into a million soldiers as the war lasted for a hundred and eight years, no one faction being able to successfully conquer the remaining eight.
It was at the end of the 108th year that a group of travelers rose up from the masses to sweep across the countries to pacify the bloodthirsty and unjust with peerless martial might. A single group of nine people, each representing one of the nine major super powers of the world. Heaven and earth was reversed in their wake, evil was purged, and justice was carried out. This was a land where one had to be strong to be heard, and these nine travelers had enough strength to do as they pleased. Taking on the name of Nine Hidden Dragons to represent their intent as protectors of the land, these illustrious legendary heroes shook the world and restored peace through their unwavering efforts to protect the weak and slay the evil. Peace was brought to close this strife filled era in naught but a year, for the Hidden Nine Dragons were as gods that have descended upon the world of mortals, unstoppable.
It is now ten thousand years later, and the songs of war have once again begun to play. The uneasy peace has been broken, and kingdoms have begun to contest against each other to once more attempt to create an empire. Among the masses are you, the heroes. People who use their great powers and heaven overturning skills to follow the code of chivalry. Your fists can break mountains, your bodies harder than diamonds, and your just souls burning brighter than even the sun. For you are Heroes.
Like the title says, this RP is based off of wuxia (basically a genre of Chinese fiction or film dealing with martial arts, sorcery, and chivalry. Many works are based off of wuxia such as Dragonball, Star Wars, Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon, Hokuto No Ken, Avatar the last Airbender, and the various other supernatural martial arts media.) Basically I just wanted an excuse for people to go out on high powered adventures and have amazing kung fu duels with everything and anything in a fantasy world while having fun world-building experience with the players, eheh.
