Yeah, we should just make a new one. I did that once with a group, the GM hadn't shown up in a month and so the co-GM just made a new RP. Question is, are we using the exact same premise or using an entirely different one?

I think making a new thread would be best. Now I think this group is friggin' amazing, so if we do a change in premise, I think it has the potential to be just as fun and just as interesting. Changing it might be necessary, however, since Galactic Hero seems to know how the plot should go and how to twist around the events. But hell, I'm open to anything. AU Galactic Civil War, Clone Wars, Old Republic, Order 66; you name it xP

It is the year 50 ABY. After the SECOND GALACTIC CIVIL WAR the galaxy is now at peace. The two major factions of power, the FEL EMPIRE and the GALACTIC ALLIANCE are close partners, bound together by family ties.

However, several OUTER RIM Moffs and Senators have decided to leave Empire and Alliance to form a new, independent government, the RIM FEDERATION. While not immediately seeming to be a threat, the RIM FEDERATION encompassed the CORPORATE SECTOR and, more importantly, the SITH homeworld of KORRIBAN.

When the FEDERATION established an order of force users, trained on KORRIBAN, also with the help of SITH holocrons, the NEW JEDI ORDER and the newly established IMPERIAL KNIGHTS couldn't just sit idly as a new generation of SITH were raised.
Now all willing to help have been called to the planet of OSSUS...

@PyroDash888So wait...what are the character ideas, like who are we being? If we want to stick with the sort of independent parties, I could help develop a story for that too [Because independent parties are fun]

@Ghost ShadowI think we could set it either during the Galactic Civil War, or after it, with some sort of Empire still in reign of the galaxy. Now I don't want to copy the ideas of the GM, but I really am interested in that.

A lot of people relied on the fact that the Civil War is going on and that's one of the reasons or the main reason they became a prisoner. We can't change that too much, that would force people to rewrite parts of their CS, maybe even the entirety of it if they relied on the events of the Galaxy too much.

Well, I was in a situation rather similar to this one just earlier in 2015. There was an RP I joined here just after Guildfall that I immensely enjoyed. During its tenure, the GM actually left and the participants made it an independent RP with unofficial co-GMs. So, the old co-GMs and I decided to revive it. We took the original writer's thread and idea (since s/he hadn't been on the Guild in some time) and changed the name a few details but kept the premise mostly the same. We gave credit to the original GM in the thread itself, but otherwise kept the same synopsis.

I have no problem with there being an Empire still running things. Frankly I think this is one of the best Star Wars RP plot-lines I've seen! :)

@Ghost ShadowI think we should change it a little bit, at least, to make sure it isn't straight out of the GM's mind without even much permission. If we cannot come up with something that is quite different, there's always the Rebel Alliance XD

And also highly ironic since I'm also in a Rebel Alliance Star Wars RP that's gonna take off today X'D But yeah, I getcha, make edits here or there, of course, but keep the base premise the same. I mean the destruction of the Alliance and the continuing strength of the Empire? That's a broad enough stroke you can go just about anywhere with!

Captured by Imperials is still an idea, it's classic so it'll be okay if we use that. The problem is how we escape. Do we still use a jedi? Do we activate BD-5 to ensue chaos? Do we all escape working together? For more options, we could replace the space shuttle with a land transport. Maybe plot line is simple. Escape from the Imperials, run in with the Hutt Cartels, join the Hutt Cartels, learn that they're also bad, escape the Hutts, go on random missions and bounties to gain money, get revenge, and so on. I feel like the permadeath is also good, to prevent people from doing something stupid. That's all I have really.
