Nature. You know that thing we've been fucking over, the past - oh I don't know, hundred years? Yeah well, it turned around and said discreetly "Fuck you too!" and then some. Evolution, punishment for our sins? Honestly, I'm not sure anymore. All we know is that it's a virus, unchained, deadly and unstoppable.

It attacks the nervous system to begin with, then onto the blood in your veins. First you'll slug on down, all slow-motion blurry eyed with twitching muscles, after that your blood thickens and the oxygen from your lungs takes double the time to reach the extremities of your body.

You die - only for a few minutes max though, then the virus takes over and brings you back as a Zombie, Walker, Undead, Biter, Deadheads Risen or slow shambling dead thing. Don't bother yourself too much with the naming, just remember they're not your friend.

Anyway, half your brain has been consumed and broken down into liquid, watering down your blood some so that the thing you are now can move at a fast walk if you really push yourself. You're still you somewhere, but you have lost all long term memory and your ability for short term memory is very subjective, you don't remember lists of ingredients or where you parked your car, but you will remember where that tasty looking cat went for around 20 seconds before you forget.

Now you're just a ferocious animal, bloodthirsty and slumbering, a sheep that follows the infected flock. Sure, you're still that smart kid from Shortroad Street, but you're a zombie I'm afraid. Yes, you've still got Dutch relatives and your grandmother still lives in Washington State, but they're all probably zombies too, Sorry.

Six days.

It took six days for the world to end, Mother Nature skipped the rest day that God recommended and just fought that little bit harder to wipe us all out. We Humans aren't so easily dismembered though, there are still survivors and even areas completely unaffected. At first it was Europe, somewhere in France if the rumors are true, then it spread past borders from there. At first it was just an unheard of amount of common colds, then it was an unseen zombie apocalypse.

You few survivors are living and must try to stay that way, luxury is not of priority anymore, gone are the days of commercialization and excess, there is no more money to be made. Keep your pocketed coins as throw-able distractions and save your precious notes for the fire.

Pictures are acceptable as a base, foundation if you will, but unless a character can be exactly described by every attribute of the picture then I recommend you add a description in text. I find that this brings you deeper into a character, as you are molding them around your imagination, rather than around the image on your screen.

It doesn't have to be long, but enough to be human.

@XxLyraxX Unless they're looking in the mirror or someone says their name (or you are using their name to write) then its not necessary. Just save the CS for after you and other people have posted.

@XxLyraxX Take a look at google maps (Prague) and pick a starting location. Honestly, you guys can converse on here about where you want to start.

@KahleenCuthald If a character dies to narrative then I am fine with that. People die, if anyone wants to make another to replace one that is dead, that's fine too. If two characters are fighting, we will move the combat into PM's and have an arena style fight.

For the area to start in, let's see... mmh

Maybe have a look at Prague, Bohdalec area? There's a small forest in the area and if you walk long enough there's this Jasa Archery Direct building sourounded by a bit forest. Also there's train tracks, where you would need to go over and be out in the open for a few steps... There's also this little town-like area where there go houses in a circle kinda street way? It's pretty much like on one side it leads to big city, other it leads to the woods.

Well I don't know. :S
