@kingkonrad Meanwhile, we Irish glare at you pansy ass englishmen, swear angrily into our pints, and plot our next Rebellion. Good stuffs.
Funny how everyone hates the English, amiright?
There is no equivalent of Ireland in GoT, not unless that was the Iron Islands, which I doubt. Wales could be the Vale, the Riverlands could be East Anglia/Central England, The Reach as the South-West/South East/Southern France, the Stormlands as perhaps...well, all of England is rainy, alright! The Westerlands is difficult- a strange mixture, I honestly wouldn't know how to describe that, a mixture of bits of France, Dorne as Spain for sure, The North as...t'up North, and the Kings beyond the Wall as Scotland. The Iron Islanders are also Northeners, Braavos is definitely Holland, Pentos/Volantis/others are likely to be sort of southern European kingdoms of sorts. I am more confident on some than others.
Two things that makes me shit and giggle in GoT- in the Reach there is Sommerset, which is...the fucking county I kind of live in (North Somerset) then there's Cider Hall. There is a region of The Reach, called Cider Hall. Cider, fucking, Hall. A drink that can be found extremely easily in Bristol, and it's the name of a castle, I belive? See, if The Reach isn't the South-West of England, I don't know what it is.
