Skills:
Sneaking out of his room has given Daz some skills in being stealthy. Daz loves to paint, and greatly enjoys art in general. He is fluent in French and has some skill in other languages acquired while trekking across Europe.
Bio:
Daz was born in Bristol, in the UK, and grew up there with his eldest brother who would go on to be a YouTuber of some reknown. At age 15 he first discovered his powers when he began reading his teacher's thoughts to find the answers to her quizzes. His powers gradually began to grow from there; teleporting from his room to the bathroom in the mornings, reading the muted emotions of his parents to know when they were sleeping, and then summoning his panicked cat to him. Inevitably, he turned to the Net for answers, which was where he first found another like him. At first his searches turned up no satisfactory results, but then he was contacted by fantalazy86, a man- he assumed it was a man- who just so happened to be an internet genius keeping an eye out for people with powers like himself. He told Daz he was in contact with 12 others and gave some advice on how to use and hide his powers. He also informed Daz that every now and again one of their kind, Deviants he called them – as in deviation from normal humans – would disappear, and he advised keeping a low profile.
Before moving on with his education to go to uni, Daz went on a trip with several of his friends across Europe, starting in Portugal with plans to stop and meet fantalazy86 in person while in Germany. He never made it that far, he was suddenly being chased across the streets of a small town just outside Lyon by uniformed men with American accents. Foolishly he refused to use his powers in front of people until he had no other choice and in the process of being tackled he vanished in the middle of a large crowd. His reappearance at the edge of the town did not mean his escape, as he had transported the man with him. A sharp pain saw the world fade from view, and then he was waking up in a white room to the sound of running water.

Bio:
Alisha was born in jail to a woman named Mandy Bennett. Her mother was in jail for prostitution, and Alisha's father was one of Mandy's many unknown Johns. She was immediately placed into the foster system after she was born. Her biological mother refused to give up her parental rights even though she had a 10-15 year sentence in prison. Three days old Alisha was given to a loving family in small town Connecticut. Little did anyone know Mandy Bennett was a Deve, and was just trying her best to stay off the radar of the people hunting her. Three weeks after giving birth Mandy couldn't take the prison life and separation from her baby, so she teleported out of jail, officially becoming a fugitive. First stop on Mandy's list was to get Alisha back, she ended up in front of the foster family's house in the middle of the night, and took baby Alisha with her. Teleporting with a baby was out of the question so she hitched rides down the interstate, with no plan or idea of what to do.
Six months on the run, living in and out of motels, and back to her old ways of making money, Mandy finally came to the conclusion that Alisha needed a proper home and family. Something she could not give her, so she left Alisha at the closest hospital. Alisha was placed into the Massachusetts foster system, and was quickly adopted in a matter of weeks, by the Landon family. Kayla and Martin Landon were some of the best parents you could hope for. They named her Alisha after the nurse that found her on the hospital steps.
And so Alisha grew up in Providence RI. A simple happy life. Martin her new father was a mixed martial artist who ran his own gym, and Kayla her new mother was a music teacher at the local high school. They all lived happily in a three story town home with a little court yard she would learn to walk in. Her bedroom was a favorite place with its powder blue walls, a canopy bed, and huge doll house her father built. Her parents sent her to the private catholic school, her summers were spent in Michigan at the cottage on the lakes, and Christmas was always at the Plaza in Manhattan. She even had an older brother named Felix who was her protector, and best friend.
Unfortunately when she was nine years old her family was in a car crash, and she was the only one to survive. Her parents died instantly and Felix was left a vegetable in a coma. Her happy life was seemingly over. The death of her parents led to a whole life change for Alisha. Her fathers parents became her legal guardians, but they lived in Germany, and only came to stay with Alisha until the house was sold, the funerals were held, and Felix was taken of life support. Her grandparents quickly decided that it was best that Alisha stay in America, so she was sent to live with her father's younger sister Harriet in Vegas Nevada.
Living in a cluttered 5th floor walk up in Vegas above a bar with her Aunt Harriet was very different from the life she had been living. Going to public school was nothing like her old school, she missed her friends, her old house, her city, and most of all her family. Harriet was an aspiring musician, who worked as a stripper, maid, and bartender to pay the bills, so she was not home much to take care of Alisha. When Harriet was home she was ether sleeping or playing music with her band in the living room until late into the morning hours. Harriet was a nice to Alisha, but responsibility for anyone other then herself seemed impossible for her to handle. Alisha was a good kid, but she had never needed to take care of herself before.
By middle school she had learned to how to cook, clean, shop, use the public bus, and she could take care of herself. She even had a part time job tutoring little kids in piano, and helping out at the yarn shop down the street from her school. Living on the bad side of town in a dangerous neighborhood Alisha was lucky to know a thing or to about fighting. When she was twelve Aunt Harriet was diagnosed with brain cancer, and Alisha became her caretaker for the next two years until she died. She felt alone in the world. Being only fourteen the state placed her into a foster care group home for girls. The place was like a prison, and most of the girls there where what some would label politely as troubled, but more correctly put they were violent delinquents, with major issues.
A month into her stay and Sunshine Home for teen girls, her Deve powers started presenting themselves. Alisha was pretty sure she was going nuts, hear what people around her were thinking and waking up in random places. The group home staff got her on anti-psychotics meds, and started locking her in her room at night, not that any of it stopped her. One day three girls decided to teach Alisha a lesson by ganging up on her in the bathroom to kick her ass, all because Alisha narked on them after she heard one thinking about their plan to burn the place down. She did the best she could defending herself, but she was quickly knocked to the ground and the girl proceeded to kicked her. Survival skills kicked in and she blasted them with her telekinesis, they went flying, and one of the girls landed wrong braking her spine, effectively paralyzed for life.
The group home staff locked her in her bedroom as they waited for the authorities to pick her up. Standing in her room bloody and beaten, with no idea what to do, and not knowing what was going to happen to her, she was on the verge of crying for the first time in over three years, when a woman teleported into her room, smiled and then abruptly teleported Alisha out into a alleyway downtown. She didn't know it at the time but that woman was her biological mother Mandy. After calming down, Mandy explained everything about being a Deve to her.
Accepting the truth was easier then one would think. Over the next year Mandy helped Alisha train her powers, as they lived from city to city. Mandy a was and expert at keeping her thoughts hidden and closed off, so Alisha never learned the truth about Mandy being her real mother, or Mandy's past profession, that is until New Years night. Mandy got drunk and let it all slip out. Alisha felt betrayed and pissed off, but she did't show it as she helped the drunk hysterical Mandy to her bed and cleaned up the vomit in the bathroom. She had never fully trusted Mandy, but she had been grateful to her and looked up to her in a teacher student kind of way.
A few months passed, and they ended up crossing paths with two Deve hunter agents. The inability to kill was not something Alisha had been told about, so when Mandy collapsed to the ground after telekinetically throwing one of the agents off the building, she wasn't ready. Alisha Quickly teleported her and her mother out, but the draining of powers from the fight made the jump a short trip, as they only made it to the alley below the building, Rather then all they way across town to their apartment. Mandy finally woke up, and they ran, but the second agent caught up and shots were fired. Mandy took a bullet to the leg, and another bullet grazed Alisha's shoulder. Mandy telepathically yell at her to keep running, and flashed a quick memory to her of the first time she held baby Alisha in her arms almost sixteen years ago. Alisha ran, only looking back to see the agent crack Mandy in the head with his pistol, and put her in fancy handcuffs. With the small bit of energy she had left she teleported a few blocks and haled a cab.
The next three years she spent on her own. Keeping a low profile after she moved to Detroit, she got a job at a as a receptionist at a car dealership. She was guilt ridden about Mandy, and slightly paranoid about being found by the agents, but she managed to live her life. Unfortunately the guy she started dating ended up being the son of one of these Agents. She had had no idea, and the guy, Graham, seemed completely safe.
When she went to meet Graham's father Ronald for the first time the man quickly recognized her as the teen girl who got away three years ago. An old picture of her was in the Deve hunters database, and he remembered it from a long day of filing a few months ago. With agent Ronald's abrupt realization, Alisha caught on to the thoughts in his mind. But before she could teleport away or do anything Ronald clicked on some button thing and Alisha's powers didn't work, she was stuck in his house. No words were said but Ronald issued a warning through by thinking it. Alisha didn't wait, and headed straight for the front door, ignoring the confused Graham. Ronald grabbed his tazer and quickly got in front of her, explaining backup was on the way, and telling Graham to leave the room. A fight broke out, and Alisha got a few good punches in before Ronald tazed her to the ground.
She woke up in the facility, in a cell. With her powers not working, and she was strapped to a medical bed thing. The only thing on her mind was how to get the fuck out of this place.
