Okay, so I think it goes without saying that this RP has slowly, but surely died. That's no fault to any of you; I take the full blame for that. So, I'm just gonna go out and say that I'ma close this. And you all deserve an explanation as to why. ;(
I hadn't planned this thoroughly enough, or, at least, I might have planned it in a fashion that's too linear and rigid. But, I don't think I had a clear idea of where I was going and what direction I wanted. I focused far too much on my one character and his own development, and didn't think enough about aiding you guys with yours through the plot I had created. And, thus, I wrote everyone into a corner and I apologize for that. I should have been paying more attention to the group as a whole instead of just what my characters would be doing and that's all on me.
The idea was good; the execution was bad. It was too... convoluted and just a tad directionless. I pretty much showed you guys the plan but I didn't give you anything to work off of. It was too intangible, too vague and unassuming and left you guys with literally no room for interaction. Everyone could have left and the plot would have hung there and that's my fault for not coming up with a plausible way to get everyone involved and interacting and interested.
So, yeah, that's why I'm shutting it down and not necessarily because it's inactive but because I don't see any way to get myself out of the mess I put you all in. :( Regardless, I'll think on the plot more. I'll mold the idea better and find slightly stricter location parameters cause that also killed it, allowing
everyone to be all over the world also made things difficult for interaction cause then we'd all solely be relying on Janus to transport everyone. I think next time I won't start it up until I have a better outline for what I want and a better way to get everyone involved in the plot without forcing anyone to do anything. Cause it's a collaborative story and I want everyone to be involved in making and molding it with my outline to kind of guide you guys to certain points in the story. What I had with this wouldn't do that and I'd have to have forced everyone into situations that would get them all gathered together and I don't think anyone would like that.
Anyway, if you all are interested in a reboot, tell me and I'll think on some stuff before I try my hand at making OtH again. It might not be for a little while, though. I wanna make sure everything I can plausibly get to is solid.
