@Aisling "There is," Ioan said. "And this room has to be cooled to the temperatures that are outside. That's why it's so cold in here."

"I hadn't noticed. But now that you mention it, I am a bit cool. Thanks for showing me this telescope." Mystique smiled as she walked towards the door.

@Aisling Ioan and Toma followed her, and as soon as they had pulled off the protection clothing, Ioan showed where the computer room was.

Once she taken off the protective gear, mystique followed loan and Toma to the computer room. She saw various piles of paper on the desks.

"Do you have anyone that files the paperwork that you and others create? It looks like some of the piles will soon fall over." Mystique asked as she carefully moved around the room.

[CountDracula]

@Aisling "We usually do that on our own, but... yeah. Sometimes, we forget about it." Ioan smiled. "As I said, scientists are lazy."

[Aisling]

@CountDracula

"So it really is true that scientists are lazy?" Mystique chuckled.
"Perhaps I'll volunteer my services if I can figure out your filing system. Particularly if you happen to show me some interesting sites in outer space."

@Aisling "That'd be really nice of you," Ioan said.

[Aisling]

@CountDracula

"When would be a good time to learn the system?" Mystique asked as she sat down in a chair.
"I start to work next week..... And I'll need to figure out what to do with Fiona." she just realized much to her dismay.

@Aisling "We could come here an hour early tomorrow," Ioan suggeted. "Why do you need to figure that out? She could stay with us while you're away. We're all experienced with special needs children."

[Aisling]

"Are you sure that you want to take her on? She is a selkie that can't finish her transformation due to calcification of her lower limbs. They are very rigid and are heavy. There is no cure but excersises. It is hoped that in time her limbs will become less rigid.
I am told that she can be a handful. She is strong in the arms and very determined to do what she wants to do.

I will say that she has accepted everyone including myself. She now knows that I am a vampire....... She is quite different from any other child that I have ever known. Not that I have known many..."

@Aisling "As I said, we're all experienced with special needs children, and a vampire is ten times as strong as an adult man," Ioan answered.

"Thanks for letting me speak my mind and worries. I hope that you and Fiona will becomes friends, Toma. She might not be a good friend at first because she never had a playmate and my brother is not the playing with children type. He has tried but he has admitted that the only thing that he really has done with her are tea parties. She does have a doll but not many clothes. She has the female mind but I'll think of ways that the two of you can play.

Do you ever play games or with any toys at all" Mystique asked.

@Aisling "Why should this make her a bad friend?" Toma asked. "Maybe she doesn't have a lot of experience with dealing with other children, but I don't have a lot of experience with that either... it's because I usually rather deal with adults. And the female mind... why should that matter, as long as we like each other? I've never had a tea party, but I wouldn't mind trying that... yes, I sometimes play with toys. I've got a Furby, for example, some remote-controlled cars, a robotic dog,... most of my toys are robotic because that's the kind of toy that is the best for me."

"She plays like a girl..... how to explain it better.........She doesn't care for cars or trucks or what she would consider boy games. She would want to play with her doll, dress up, she doesn't even know what a remote control anything is. Dermot lives very frugally and doesn't use much electricity and no batteries. He cares a lot about the environment and refuses to buy things just because it's a new product.
She loves to color and draw which I do send to her but Dermot rarely allows her to color because it is a waste of trees.

She is very strong headed and might want to play her way because she never tried anything else. .....
I guess what I am saying is that she might be hard to get along with. She can be quite mobile even though she can't walk. She can roll very quickly and ......
Toma, have you ever watched seels? Fiona is part seel or seelie. She can swim faster than most swimmers at her age. I am not even sure if I am right because this is the first time I have ever seen her. Dermot is a hermit and lives deep in a forest and there are swamps. " Mystique looked like she was a bit worried and quite tired.

@Aisling "I could show it to her," Toma said. "I don't mind playing with dolls... I've never tried that, and I think that it's stupid to divide toys into boy's and girl's toys.

I've watched seals, and I can be quick as well. We could play tag if we both are quick. That is a game that is neither considered a girl's nor a boy's game..."

[Aisling]

"Toma, you are one special person. I am glad that you are willing to help Fiona to adjust to her new life. She will be living with me from now on and I will be her mother for I will be adopting her as soon as I can. I want to build her a very special swimming pool. I am not sure how I want it designed but it will have wheelchair ramps and such in it. You may play in it with her if there is an adult with you." Mystique spoke softly.

@Aisling "Ioan and me and maybe Fiona could help you with it," Toma offered. "We know the best what wheelchair drivers need."

[Aisling]

"Quite true but what I am thinking about is a bit..... strange like. I'd like to have an area where Fiona and I can play in an animal environment like an aquarium. I'd like to see various creatures like starfish and seahorses. The kinds of fish that can be pets. I want to show where her food comes from. She needs to slim down and this will be a fun way for her to do so. She has gills that need to be exercised as well as her tail fin. I'd like for this to be a surprise.
loan, is my idea doable? Just a small tank where she could swim and explore as she works on her gills, tail weight loss?"

@Aisling "It would be so cool to swim in something like that!" Toma said.

"I think that we should be able to do this," Ioan answered.

[Aisling]

"Good. Not a word to Fiona. I want this to be one of her birthday surprises and I' like to have it done in 3 months. It would be an inside pool so we can use it often. I have to think of what else to do for her birthday presents.
loan, could you figure out the best plan and how much it would cost? I'll use my inheritage money."
