@Aisling "I mostly read books that have been written for adults, but not scary books. Fear can be deadly to me," Toma answered. "I love the books by Stephen Hawking, and I really liked 'Er ist wieder da' by Timur Verne. I haven't read the 'Hardy Boys' series yet."
"I haven't read them either," Ioan said.

"I haven't read those. Do you like solving mysteries or do you like books about history or other adult themed books? What about movies? Or TV programs?" Mystique was very curious about this young man who is more like an adult than she was.

@Aisling "I love learning things that I didn't know," Toma answered. "The only 'scary' book that I've ever read was 'Dracula' by Bram Stoker, but I didn't like it. They were telling lies about my daddy, and they were depicting him as evil."

Mystique tried to think of a way to tell him that it depends on a person's view as to what is evil or good.
"Toma, it is a matter of opinion or view. What one person believes to be wrong may not be what a second or third or fourth person believes. There are those who believe that modern conveniences are evil. The Amish have kept the ways of old and would not even think of reading The Hardy books or Nancy Drew or even Dracula. Only those books required for school and their version of the Bible. They don't own cars or use electricity. Nor will they own a gun of any type.

Then there are those who believe that you can read any book that you want, keep any kind of guns including ones like bazookas and machine guns. They claim that it is their right to own them so they can hunt deer.'

@Aisling "I know that," Toma said. "That's why we have to stop separating people into 'good' and 'evil': Those who are seen as 'good' have got flaws, and those who are seen as 'evil' have got reasons. My daddy told me that he tried to lock Jonathan Harker into his castle because he was afraid. Back then, you could be killed for being a vampire, and he had found out that daddy is one..."

"We Budhists don't judge deeds or people," the father, who had overheard the conversation, said via telepathy, still walking up and down the hallway. "We always take a look at the intention behind deeds. Vladi, for example, impales and tortures others to protect us all from more suffering."

"I do understand that. Sometimes it is hard to be the one who has to administer punishment to people who break the laws.
Here is something for you to think on Toma, since you love thinking on hard subjects.
A man has a wife who was dying. There is one drug that will save her life. This husband loves his wife very dearly but they are very poor. They didn't even had enough money to eat properly. There is only one place that this husband can get the drug that his dying wife needs. Only one person makes this drug. He talked to the man who made the drug and asks him to let him make payments for the drug. He needed it right away so that he could make his wife well. The husband even begged and pleaded but the man just would not give the husband the drug to heal his wife. The husband left in sadness to sit by his sick wife.

This is before there was insurance so the husband had to pay what the man wanted for the drug.

That night the wife got worse and the husband decided to go out and try to get the the drug that she needed. He gathered up all of the money he could find in the house. He went to the man's home and tried again to get the drug. The man doubled the price of the drug because the man knew that he was the only one in the area that had that particular drug. The man also refused to give the husband the drug since the husband did not have enough money. The husband left angrily. He could smell many good things to eat and he did not have anything to eat but a dry piece of bread that day.
He went back later to the man's house. The door as unlocked and the husband went inside. The husband found the drug and only took what he needed to heal his wife. He left what little bit of money he had on the table then quietly left.

The next morning there was a loud knock on the door of the husband's shack. The man and the police were there. The husband was arrested and jailed so he could not work. The wife was much better and was able to work again in a few days. On the day of the trial, the judge had to make a difficult decision. What would be your decision if you was this judge?"

@Aisling "I'd set the man free," Toma answered without thinking for too long. "The husband has commited theft, yes. But the man with the drug has commited a crime against humanity."

[Aisling]

"What about the fact that the husband still owes the man money for the drug?"

[CountDracula]

@Aisling Toma smiled. "If you see money as something that is higher than health, you should re-think your values."

[Aisling]

@CountDracula

"Very true but there are many arguments for both sides that could be said. I believed as you do when my class was quizzed on this. The answer I was told was there was no clear cut answer for it depended on your own personal beliefs. What one person believes in is not what someone else might believe in. That was the answer for you and me. My reason was the man had so much more than the husband, that he could spare the drug with ease or at the very least take payments on the drug." Mystique finished.

[CountDracula]

@Aisling "The only reason why the man didn't want to give the drug to the husband is greed," the father said via telepathy. "There are thousands of species on this planet, but only man thinks that he needs money to survive. In fact, there are people who live completely without money voluntarily."

[Aisling]

Mystique could only smile for she now knew that Count Dracula did not take any money for his job.

[CountDracula]

@Aisling "My country is broke," Dracula said. "That's a fact. Who am I to take money from those who don't have it?"

[Aisling]

@CountDracula

"That is a wonderful thing that you do, Count Dracula. I only wish that there were more like you."

[CountDracula]

@Aisling "That is my aim," the father said. "To end the suffering."

[Aisling]

@CountDracula

"Only if that could happen...... way too many greedy people in this world."

[CountDracula]

@Aisling "I'm sure it can happen." The father went on with walking up and down the hallway...

[Aisling]

@CountDracula

"Just when will all the greedy people be gone? Once they are gone, will more people become greedy? Like a vicious circle of some sort. " Mystique spoke sadly.
"I suppose I should get back to the castle and check on Fiona and Dermot. Do you two mind?"

[CountDracula]

@Aisling The father stopped for a minute. "It isn't the people that should be gone... they are people, at last. It's the greed that should, and yes, it probably will exist forever. - Fiona and Dermot are well. I'm at the castle, and Vladi and Mihnea are here as well. We care for them."

[Aisling]
