Setting: Before the game

Current plot: Our Twins are/going to be separated from their tribe as they migrate to Aloy's Village. We've decided that a hunt goes wrong, probably due to MC. Oops.
After that, it'd be a journey to find their tribe. We can encounter ruins, other tribes, and even create fictitious settings. I hate to be so general, but the setting is enormous.
(Did we want a little dog like machine thing to accompany them?)

Backstory: Agreed that we wont set anything in stone, and that all we come up with are just the individual character's theories.

After a quick search I did find a few possible ideas for our twins.

Out of your choices, I really like the first one! Here's my contribution. See if something catches your eye. If not, you have my vote for picture one.

Idea 3 catches my eye of yours. :D

So we have BD#1
BD#2
K#3

Anyone out of the list you don't like?

EDIT:
I'm feeling like BD#2 just doesn't fit the setting. :\

Oh if it's between those three, I'm strongly leaning towards K3 haha! There'd something primal about her that really catches my eye. My second choice would be BD1!

Then we'll go with K3. I'll work on a quick outline of MC and get it up later.

I'm done thinking for the night. :D

Sounds good to me. I'll go ahead and do the same. Identical twins with differing dispositions though. That's something!

I think I'm turning in for the night as well. I'm half asleep right now haha! I'll catch you tomorrow then.

I found the original artist for that photo (a pain) and there were two, one you had and another

I figure we can both use one.

EDIT:
Or even one of her with no makeup

Oh wow! You went above and beyond in finding that. Why not? Let's divvy the two up! Both poses are pretty striking in my opinion.

Edit: and even the third one! I'm leaning towards the one with make up. We can chalk that up to tribal paint. But either works.

I kinda want the one with no makeup because of the hair. But MC will have tattoos.

And I'm done *climbs into bed*

Then I'll go ahead and take the first of the three photos for my character. Her appearance will no doubt change as the story progresses however. I'll give textual stuff for that though.

Same. I need to sleep haha. Night this time!

Alright! I posted up my character sheet describing my character more in depth. I hope it's okay. I'm a bit rusty at writing out disposition since I often just start writing for a character and seeing where things go.

Also, I want to talk to you about the concept of a spirit guardian. Given that the tribe is nomadic and Native-American-esque to me, it'd be fun for tribespeople to be assigned a spirit guardian. However, there aren't any animals - traditional animals - in HZD. Have you any thoughts to a substitute? I was thinking we could have the spirits be from five main realms so to speak: Earth, Fire, Water, Air, Celestial. We'd think of a deity for each. Made up and just assign one as as spirit guardian.

Does this sound like something you'd want to incorporate? It'd be unique to our tribe. Other tribes may have something similar, but not the same.

I wouldn't mind a draw from the native american tribes.

Though I can see them using "The Ones that Came Before/The Old Ones" as a sort of spiritual guide. Like Asian society believes their ancestors watch over them. Since a lot would be made up, perhaps were are certain "Old Ones" that watch over the tribe?

Or we can just stick with your idea. Either's cool, just throwing stuff out there.

Oh we can definitely do that too! That actually might work out better. Maybe when our characters are in a bind, they could have an ancestor vision quest of sorts. Just another idea.

I'm okay with either! Yours is easily to organize and integrate however.

I'm not sure what you'd call each specific "Old One" that would watch over someone.

And I got a rough sketch of my girl up.

EDIT:
I don't know for you, but I think Ally will decide her guide will be the Spirit of Peace. :P

Why don't we have paragons? A paragon of the hunt, harvest, etc? We don't have to give a specific nae for the paragons; we'll just mention paragon of ____.

Loved the character sheet by the way!

Thanks. I tried to give her flavor without just spewing information we don't have established. Which made it very barebones. :\

I like that. That's good.

You know? I think when we start writing, the characters will start to flesh out themselves. If that makes sense? I always find it hard to create character sheets - especially in depth ones. IC is where they step out and shine.

Then lets go with that!

They will, I know. I just like to include a little more reference material for myself (Because I have lots of characters running about and sometimes I get them mixed up and having a detailed outline helps unmix them.). But I'll add as we go along.

With that established, is there anything else you think we need? Because I cannot think of anything.

Oh gotcha! That's not bad practice whatsoever. See? What typically happens to me is that I create a character sheets with everything on it. When I start to write, however, the character does a judo flip and takes off in a different direction. Not that I'm complaining though. Those happen to be my strongest characters.

Let's start. We'll keep talking as we write, no? Now, I don't really mind who starts. Honestly. I imagine we start before the separation however. Give us some character development time and such.
