"Evaline!" Dr. Irvine Schroder yelled from across the stadium. "Zat subject is no more!" He looked at his creation with a smile.
Dr. Schroder was no short man. He stood 6 foot, 4 inches tall when standing straight. On top of his casual clothes, he wore a white lab coat, the front of which has been permanently stained brown. He was obviously not a man to mess with, especially with him being the head of the lab.
Evaline stood and walked over in her nurse's outfit with her motherly curves and long, black hair. Her bangs covered her eyes and she didn't speak. Very few people knew the truth about Evaline, the truth about her being Dr. Schroder's creation.
-----
"Dr. Boyer?" a woman asked with a small knock on his door. The woman wasn't very tall and appeared to be of Asian decent. "I think the guard who does the mail got ours mixed up again." Dr. Li held up a few envelopes with a small smile.
Footsteps came from down the hall as a quartet of guards, all rather large, muscular men, led a small, scared, teenage girl with long wings covered in grey feathers. Her name was Zoey.
"Doc, we got the girl you asked for." one of the guards said, gently pushing the small girl in the room.
"Should I come back later?" Dr. Li asked, looking at the girl.
-----
Echoing through the hallways was the sound of 3 children running, one of them having a metal right foot, as well as what appeared to be a giant, origami wolf with a leash which went to the hand of the girl in the white t-shirt and pale grey skirt.
"Axel," Alice asked as they turned a corner. "Where are these guards you were talking about?" Her paper creation ran beside them.
"Why are you not releasing more children?" Nicolette asked, noting that they had passed multiple patient cells.
