"I do not!" Melanie protested indignantly, shoving Alyssa lightly with her shoulder. "I just think it's cool that he can change into an animal like that. Especially one that can fly! You can't tell me you don't wonder what it would be like." she ducked her head in embarrassment. " "Besides, I wouldn't be able to do it without help anyways. I stink at Transfiguration and you know it!" She'd tried to get the hang of it often enough but it just wasn't her thing, no matter what she did or how hard she concentrated, the objects never changed over properly like they were supposed to. Melanie had made a resolution to herself to seriously consider looking for a tutor or a studying buddy who might be able to help her get the hang of at least the basics properly this year.

As Oliver peered around he noted all the impressed faces. He had always enjoyed making people happy, not that it was his only reason for becoming an animagus, he had much bigger plans. A girl asked if he could teacher her, Melanie was her name. He really had no clue how to teach, he a\was hardly a master any way. "Uhh, well sorry I'm not that great, haha but uhm I can help you with transfiguration! he said, trying to be humble.

Another girl came along, Alyssa, adding more humor to the conversation. Oliver personally doubted that anyone could actually have a crush on him. Okay maybe he could understand having a crush on him, he was pretty awesome. Whatever.

"I mean if you really wanna' know what flyings like I could turn you into birds." He said. To him the words had sounded much better in his head.

Alyssa Samara Chase

Aly laughed at Melanie's response. She shook her head slightly. 'No one does. And even if I did why turn into a ratty bird when I could just use magic or a broom stick?" She asked as she took her wand out of her boot. It was the only place she managed to keep it without losing it. She tended to lose every thing. It didn't help she was not in anyway organised.
She sighed as she whispered, "You so do. Your blushing and you know it! Go ask him out and not to help you out with some stupid homework!" She eyed him again and sighed. She raised an eyebrow as he said something about turning them into birds. "Let's not do that!" She called out.
She held her wand out as she eyed it. The flying spell. She fought to herself as she tried to think though nothing came to mind. 'Why couldn't ever figure it out?' She wondered. She sighed as she turned to melonie. "What's that flying spell again? Draco flato lifo ofda ? Something like that?"

"I don't know, wasn't it Wingardium something?" frowned Melanie as she tried to remember the incantation herself. She turned towards Oliver as the older boy offered to turn them into birds and quickly shook her head in protest. "Oh no no, no thank you." she mumbled. "As much as I would like to fly, I'm not very good at it, I can't even steer a broom."

It was only partially true of course, Melanie had never been talented at flying, however her chief concern wasn't so much the flying itself, but the snake that was curled up in the pocket of her robes. And she couldn't imagine the trouble she would get in if someone found out, and even worse, told one of the Professors, that the reptile wasn't kept in an enclosure in the dormitory the whole time, as pets were supposed to be.

Oliver Rivers

"Wingardium is for levitating, flying is 'Fugio lavate' at least for brooms, i think people use a different charm." Oliver said. He rarely used a flying charm at all any more, and it had been a year or two since he had learned how to do it. He could turn people into birds or other flying things, as a prank, and that worked fine for his flying needs.

By now only a few of the younger students were still hanging around, their hopes high for seeing another performance. Oliver wasn't really up to practicing anymore though, not with other things to do, friends to hang out with.

"Hey so where are you two headed, mind if I tag along?" he questioned, hoping not to be left behind when the two girls went off on their way.

Mel shrugged a little as Oliver asked them where they were heading, glancing sideways at Alyssa. "Uhh, nowhere really. Probably just down to the lake, see if the hippocami are around maybe. Or I guess we could go watch Quidditch tryouts, you said you wanted to go down there this year right Alyssa?" she'd never been a huge fan of Quidditch, at least she'd never felt the urge to play it herself but she didn't mind watching, and Alyssa seemed awfully keen on it. She wondered if her friend might try out for the team this year.

Alyssa shrugged to Olivers response she debated on whether or not she would try it. It could be dangerous if there both wrong but she was ready to take that risk. "Fugia lavage?" She asked pronouncing the first word wrong. "Right?" She asked making sure she didn't move her wand to the spell.
Aly raised an eyebrow at Melanie. "How don't you know how to steer a broom?" She asked. "Its the easiest thing ever!" She placed the wand down slightly pushing a piece of r hair back as she saw that most of the crowd who were watching were beginning to leave.
She saw a guy showing off on a broomstick but fell down causing her to snicker slightly. She watched the scene as the two of them talked for a few seconds only half listening to there conversation. There was only one thing she knew for certain. They were meant for each other. She watched the scene till she heard her name. She jumped a bit as she turned back to them."hmm... What, yea quidditch." She spurted out.
