Gwen sat patiently waiting for the experiment to begin. The lights had been dimmed so the scientists could get a clear view of the experiment once it was finally running. The machine they had come up with was made of gold and other metals of great value,Gwen had seen to that. No one would ever laugh at her again after this was over, so many mocked her for using her wealth on experiments on things such as time travel. At one point she had even looked into life preservation research, that had ended badly. With only a few more moments till launch time she felt excited and scared all at once. She wanted to be apart of this experiment and wanted to watch as it was being conducted, she paid for it why not view it? Sipping her tea she was bombarded by a few of the scientists about signing things and needing her signature for waivers. "Missus. Davis!- Missus Davis!" Gwen stood and turned towards the sound of the voice shouting to her, it was Bradley, the lead scientist who had taken on the job she had given him with great pleasure except now he looked like he had seen a ghost. "What is wrong with you, shouting my name and running around like someone has cut off your head?" Gwen pushed a curly lock of hair behind her ear, her eyes passive.

"We've run into a small snag in our experiment, we think the danger of this experiment coul-" Gwen narrowed her eyes at him, those brown eyes in that position could make a grown man cry like a baby if she needed them too, or even make them cower in fear. The Scientist stopped talking instantly. "Now listen to me Bradley, I paid you and all of your little sidekicks enough money to pay off the US deficit in almost five years of research, this experiment will go on as planned and I will watch as it does. Is that clear?" Gwen said, her full lips curving into a line. They were colored red today as were her nails and shoes. Her legs and hips perfectly outlined by her a-line skirt of the same red color. Gwen always dressed well, even when she was asleep. Bradley was now staring at her, his mouth agape. Using a finger she pushed it closed. "Now, can we please get on with it." She smirked, sitting back down into a chair she had specifically placed next to the camera's. She wanted full view of what she had funded and nothing less. Bradley shuffled past her without a word and went on to conduct his peers.

Bradley was a tall man with broad shoulders and the looks of a model, however his face bore scars from previous experiments and other mishaps, so his face wasn't at all perfect, but he could still make a girl weak at the knee's if she looked at him right. Gwen's mind wandered until finally she heard the cue that they were about to begin. "Alright, when I tell you to, flip the switch, alright..." Bradley had gotten out a pair of gloves and an assistant waited with a suit made for space travel at the bottom of the platform for the portal. Bradley handed the gloves to the assistant who looked almost terrified to even speak, the others and Bradley helped him dress. Once this was done Bradley waited with clipboard in hand and a headset that was connected to the suits audio system. "Alright, at the ready... One, two, three! Flip the switch!" In less than a minute the machine began to churn its contents until became an almost pale white color. The portal itself glowed with almost blinding light. The scientists were shouting about the power levels and how much longer it would hold. Gwen in open awe stared into the portal, placing her glasses on the table next to her and stood up. Bradley paying attention to his assistant kept shouting orders, until suddenly the light dimmed and the portal shifted, its white pale surface began to turn pink, then it turned a blood red until it was almost black. People around her began shouting out orders to shut it down, Bradley had taken to the assistant who had become sick and had passed out on the platform directly under the portal. Suddenly the portals surface rippled, it began to churn until a hand, a dark had with claws appeared. Gwen gasped, still in awe at what she was seeing. Bradley was panicking along with the others who were furiously trying to stabilize the portal.

Gwen stared into the portal unafraid of the hand protruding out, a scream roared through the room, the portal wouldn't shut down she heard one of the scientists say, the hand grabbed the assistant and pulled the body through, only the helmet came back. For a moment Gwen wanted to scream, but she didn't. Her mind was working a mile a minute, what was that. "Everyone abort now! Everyone leave now!" Bradley was shouting now. "What a beautiful sight..."Gwen said aloud to herself. Ignoring the shouting around her she watched the portal to see if anything more would happen.

The hand hovers for a moment, flexing its fingers gently. Then it's followed slowly by an arm, a shoulder, and suddenly, all at once, a being steps through the portal.

The creature stands around six and a half feet tall, with deep red skin the colour of old blood. The hooked claws on its fingers are a deep black, glinting in the light. Sculpted muscles ripple as it stretches, opening up great, batlike wings at least twelve feet wide. A face too perfect to be human looks over the lab, solid blue eyes glowing slightly. From the temples sprout magnificent, curling horns ending in wicked points. Sharp fangs are revealed as the lips part slowly into a grin.

"Nhash k'zor! Thu'aar'khell valikz okhs!"

A guttural language spills from the creature's mouth in a deep, rich voice. The portal shudders as it speaks, and four more things come scuttling through. None of them even come close to the stature of the first, all deformed and ugly, though each carries a sense of menace and power. They quickly disappear from the lab, crashing out through windows and in one case just walking through a wall as if it wasn't there.

Folding its wings back up, the creature steps slowly towards Gwen, still grinning unnervingly. The air around it ripples and shimmers in something reminiscent of a heat haze and the floor cracks under its footsteps, though they're soft enough to be silent.

"I thank you. For too long I have been unable to find a path into this world. I am the Demon Lord Ar'khash. Think yourself fortunate that you have performed a service for me; if you had not been so instrumental, you would find yourself sharing the fate of the others."

He puts one hand on her shoulder. His touch is hot, far too hot for a human hand, though strangely pleasant. He raises his other, and a flash of sickly red light illuminates the room. Everyone except Gwen begins to disintegrate, dust slewing off them to a chorus of screams and flying to Ar'khash, sinking into his hand. White light begins to glow from inside their head, and then one after the other, in quick succession, each light pulses and flies along with the dust. Each pulse signals the complete collapse into dust of a scientist.

It's over remarkably quickly, the whole process taking not more than a few seconds. When the Demon Lord removes his hand from Gwen's shoulder, the room is spotless and quiet.

His grin widens.

"Genii. I like genii. There's a tang to their souls you just don't get anywhere else. Mages are better, of course, but there haven't been any of those since the idiots up in the Astral Realm decided all the Higher Planes were to be closed."

Ar'khash sighs, rolling his head on his shoulders.

"I haven't been incarnate for a long time. This is going to take some getting used to, not to mention the fact that everything here has changed a lot since I was last around."

He turns back to Gwen with a sinister smile.

"Fortunately... I have someone to show me around."

Gwen's face turned as ashen as it could under her cocoa colored skin. Bradley and the others began to run, leaving her behind to watch. The hand she had seen was now forming an arm, than a shoulder until it finally showed itself. The creature she was seeing was handsome almost in a startling way. It's features human but not all at once. Gwen's eyes closed once, twice then three times , her brain was trying to understand. She knew she never would understand, the being had others following it however, they left almost immediately, leaving broken glass in their wake.

What had he said, "nahas- what?", Gwen's mind worked to find the origin of the language the creature had spoken.

"What have I done..." shouted Bradley out loud, his face in total horror, looking to Gwen he shook his head. The being they had just witnessed coming through was making its way towards Gwen. When it reached her, she found her eyes staring into the creatures eyes. The glow of them was somehow calming to her.

Her heart skipped a beat, her body tensed, she found herself immobilized by his stare, his eyes were a cold blue color, those eyes were enchanting and almost as alluring as a humans would be. Bradley and the others all stared in horror as the creature put a hand to her shoulder. Gwen felt a warming sensation go through her arm and send a slight quiver through her body. Her spine tingled and the hairs on her neck stood on end. The creature was hot, not normal at all, Gwen felt her head swimming with questions. "I wha-" Her words evaporated once she saw the light emanating form the creatures free hand. Its sickly blood red color startled her, at first it's light filled the room, then it started.

The scientists faces began to contort into grimaces of pain and then they all began to come apart, into partials that Gwen recognized as dust of some sort, the light from their heads, what were they? Gwen tilted her head in astonished silence, her whole body felt suddenly heavy as the flash of red light left the room and the remains of the scientists settled, the creature spoke again. Her mouth opened a bit, as if she could speak now. Gwen only listened.

She stared at the creature, he spoke of her help and that she would guide him and she knew she didn't have a choice. Gwen gulped, "I...you, what are you!?" She pulled her shoulder free once she began to regain feeling in her limbs, she stumbled over a pile of dust and fell backwards, her shoe went flying into another pile. The reality of it all came crashing down and that is when she screamed, pulling herself up, ashes covering her once red clothes. The scream reverberated off of the metallic walls filling the room with it. Gwen had tears in her eyes. Looking at where Bradley had once stood, his eyes told her this was all her fault. Gwen looked at the creature tears filling her eyes, she knew she couldn't run, something in those eyes told her, she wouldn't make it.

Through her tears she managed to speak. "What- do - you- want- with -me?", a sob racking through her after every word.

The language was not anything Gwen would have ever heard, and nor did it have noticeable connections to any extant or dead tongues. At Bradley's shout, the grin widened for a moment, before settling into a confident, oddly compelling smile. As she stared at him, Ar'khash's features shifted subtly, rearranging themselves to become more attractive to her.

He watched impassively as she stumbled back and fell, and didn't so much as twitch at her scream, but when she had got up and regained enough control to speak, he flicked a finger and all the dust came off her clothes. Another flick brought her shoe to his hand. Stepping slowly towards her, he bent down and slipped it back onto her foot, his touch lingering for perhaps a little too long before he straightened up.

"What am I? I have already told you. I am the Demon Lord Ar'khash. What do I want from you? Your aid. You are obviously wealthy, intelligent and influential to have set this up. As such, you will inform me of the state of the world. You will hide me from whatever authorities may exist. You will convey me where I wish to go, and you will point out to me the individuals who run this world. You need not fear destruction; I am not here to annihilate humanity, though other Demon Lords wish to do so. I see you as a resource, and one I intend to cultivate. Even now, my four lieutenants are seeking those humans who would ally with me in exchange for my promise of protection and reward... for make no mistake, you will be rewarded. Someone like you could easily become my voice and my hand in the new world I seek to create."

His deep, rich voice surrounds Gwen like a warm fog - confusing, yet strangely comforting. He stands close to her, close enough that she can feel the warmth emanating from him. She should say yes. Everything would be better if she said yes. All the things she wanted could be hers, if only she said yes. The glow of his solid blue eyes is compelling, drawing her in gently. If she said yes, she would have power beyond her wildest dreams. She could perform all the research she wanted. Unlimited resources and funding. As many staff as she needed. All she had to do was say yes. A city, built to her plans, with her technology. A perfect city. All she had to do to make it happen was say yes. A world, sculpted and shaped at her direction, should she say but one, simple word.

"Well?"

Gwen's tear stained eyes followed his motions, looking down her clothes were clean again, no stains or residue. She watched him with narrowed eyes, her sobs slowing. Her head felt a dull throb of a on coming migraine. His face had changed a bit, his appearance more appealing, her body grew warm, she was disgusted by her reaction to this creature. Without so much as a word she let him slide the shoe back on to her foot, his hands warmer still, she noticed he held his hands there longer than need be. A shiver of desire went up her leg and traveled up her body. Gwen bit her lower lip in frustration, she shouldn't feel that way, not after all this.

His words were soothing, and held no ill intent, if what he spoke of was true. She could have anything she'd ever wanted, the wealth meant nothing, she had one goal this entire time and she could obtain it, but at what price, she asked herself. His heat could be felt through her clothes, her body responded to it. Gwen scoffed. She needed space, thinking straight was obviously not going to happen if he was this close to her.

Of he so much as breathed wrong she would know his true intent now, if he showed her nothing she would have a reason to say no, and not listen to her other feelings. She needed solid ground to stand on, this demon lord was obviously in need of an escort but no reason she can't make sure she had her bases covered. She never went into business without one.

"You're offering me a chance at glory is that it?" She snapped at him, she rolled her eyes. Trying to hide her bodies reaction she kept going, turning away from him, looking for the table where her glasses had been. Thankfully no one had knocked it over, so they were sitting in the same spot she had left them, covered in human dust. She felt her stomach churn ,picking them up she dusted them off and put them on.

Turning to look at him again she sighed. "You offer me a reward, anything I desire huh?" She felt her voice coming back, the one she had used on the dear Bradley earlier. Gwen tilted her chin up at him, standing tall and hand on her hip. "If you want me to believe you, I need proof that you intend to reward me, I don't provide until I know what I'm getting." She smirked, lets see how he reacts to that.

The Demon Lord watches with a faint twitch of his lips as she steps away, his mouth widening into a genuine smile as she challenges him.

"I am impressed, I will admit. Most would not be so cautious. But if you want a taste of what is to come..."

Suddenly, in a flash of red, he's gone. In the same instant, a corresponding flash comes from behind Gwen, and Ar'khash reappears, stepping forward and slipping his arms around her waist. His chest is pressed against her back, and his hot breath rushes across her ear as he whispers:

"Then I will show you."

Suddenly, a rush of hot power flows through her from him. Crackling red sparks leap between her fingers, and outside the window the city is illuminated in countless points of blue, green and yellow lights, on the streets and in the buildings.

"The auras of every person out there. They change colour depending on mood, age, how good or evil a person is. Nobody could lie to you. Nobody could conceal a crime."

Now, the rush intensifies, and the lab is gone. Gwen is bombarded with a torrent of visions. A sinking ship, people on the shore screaming and crying. A second Gwen walks up to the sea, clad in a magnificent dress, and raises her hand. A red light glows, and the ship begins to rise from the water. The people stop screaming and crying and begin to cheer. Quickly, a chant forms, a chant of her name that slowly turns into all-out adulation as she sets the ship and all the crew safely on the beach.

A prison, empty and unused. A courtroom, where a criminal sits before her. He says something, and his aura flashes. A lie. She shakes her head. The attendees of the hearing grin and nudge each other.

Green grass blowing in the wind on a hill. A view of the sea and the land. The vison-Gwen snaps her fingers, and a host of demons, eight-foot brutes (all with distortions and deformities, but still extremely capable) immediately appear and begin to build. Within minutes, a shining palace is set upon the hill.

Inside the palace, at sunset. A long table. Gwen sits in a throne at one end, wearing a dress even more beautiful and impressive than in the first vision. Down one side sit seven humans, instantly recognisable as the most powerful people in the world. On the other sit seven demons, all varying wildly in shape and form. One is massively fat and is shovelling food into its mouth at an obscene rate. One is nearly human-looking, and is shaped to fit Gwen's ideal of attractiveness. Another is asleep, drool running from its mouth. A fourth is huge, covered in spines. A fifth, even just in bearing, is incredibly arrogant, its expression as it looks on all those around the table that of someone who has found dog poo on the bottom of their shoe. A sixth has piles and piles of money around it, on the floor, the table and in its lap. The seventh is small and green, and is constantly staring at the food and possessions of the others.

Through this final vision cuts the voice of Ar'khash, hot breath once again caressing her ear.

"See what you can become. The power to lift at a whim something that would normally never come off the ground. Infallible in judgement. Mistress of both humans and demons, whose leaders dine as one at your table."

He chuckles.

"I appreciate that all this is still nothing concrete, but there is a simple enough proof. The power you can feel coursing through you is but the tiniest sliver of what I possess. Use it. Lift a bench, throw a fireball. Then imagine what you could do with unlimited access to my energies."

Although he brings her out of the visions, he keeps hold of her and keeps the power flowing for her to draw on should she choose.

Gwen gasped, her body tensed. The Demon Lord had disappeared before her eyes and suddenly he was there, behind her. His arms circled her waist, she blushed. No man, well in this case creature had touched her that way in a long time and her body was very pleased. Inwardly she scolded herself for it; she had no time for pleasure.

For a moment her mind went blank before she felt his breathe against her ear, sending her nerve endings into high gear. Suddenly her hands began to vibrate with power; her hands had sparks of red coming from them. Is this the power he spoke of she thought, her eyes narrowed, she felt the power seeping into her skin, into her very core. She felt strong, looking at the lights far off into the distance; some were green, blue or yellow.

He explained what each meant, then her line of vision shifted, a ship was sinking and Gwen’s heart skipped a beat, she was scared until she saw a woman, oh my god that women was her! In the most amazing dress she had ever seen. She had saved the people from the waves and had placed the out of harm’s way. Gwen felt her heart ease it’s squeezing, and then the vision changed again. From a courtroom and her being the only judge of truth and men finally recognizing her talents and accepting her. After this vision came another of her conducting demons to build her a palace on a hill, in peace. Gwen let out a small sigh; she enjoyed her privacy and had long dreamed of living somewhere of serene design.

Next a long table, a table made up of humans and demons alike all staring at another well dressed Gwen, her dress much more beautiful than the first. They all appeared to be under her supervision and seemed to obey her. The throne was magnificent. It was her palace and hers alone. All but one Demon though, appeared to be out of place, he was handsome, his jaw line strong and cheekbones well placed, his nose had a slight dip but was perfect. His eyes a charming shade of blue, his skin was as pale as new fallen snow. His hair short and dark, messy but only slightly, he was magnificent. The only thing giving him away was his size and the two horns protruding from his temples and his eyes, they had a glow to them, almost like-.

Then the vision started to dissipate as Ar’khash’s voice cut through it. His breathe heating her ear made her squirm a bit. His body was strong and his arms were as well. This could prove to be a problem her inner thoughts speaking.

Taking a moment to look at her hand again, the red sparks were still there. She flicked a finger and watched as a lab coat caught fire. She jumped, her body brushing up against the Demon lords. She groaned and pulled away from him.

“Alright fine, so let’s just say I agree to help you, and you give me all that you have shown me and more, because that should be the tip of the iceberg. You said a resource you intend to cultivate, what do you truly intend to do once you have some sort of control on our fragile world?” Her game face was back and her body was finally calming down again. Her hand on her hip again she waited.

Her caution is rewarded with another smile from the demon lord.

"Fragile? Far from it. This is the anchor point for the entire reality we live in. Do you really think humans were created by some higher power? Nobody could invent humans. In a time long past, the Astral and Infernal realms were nothing but seas of raw power. They were connected to this plane much more closely than they are today, and their energies permeated it. These energies could be used, giving rise to the individuals you call wizards, witches, sorcerers and so on. There is a saying, coined by a human: when you gaze long into an abyss, the abyss also gazes into you. So it was with magic. Humanity shaped the beings known as angels and demons. We were born from your minds, your hearts. The angels were created from the good, and we demons from the evil - or so they say. I personally think there's a mix in all of us. The angels have long since become prideful, thinking themselves above you. They closed the Astral and Infernal realms to human contact. Does that sound right to you? They are supposed to be the guiding light, and yet they shut themselves away. Meanwhile, I, a being of purest evil, am here on Earth, and yet I'm not running around killing and violating. Something there is off."

He walks over to the machine that generated the portal and lays a hand on it.

"This is the sort of thing I'm here for. New technology, new opportunities. All of humanity united, pushing towards the future, rather than the incessant squabbling you currently undergo. A new age where humans rule the stars above as well as the land below. Leaders focused on the common good rather than pleasing the rich and lining their own pockets. An end to the destruction of your homeworld, and a beginning to harmony with it. And, of course, a place for me here. I hate the Infernal Realm. If you think human wars are bad, you should see the incessant battling on the War Fields. And then there's the Sins sitting in their palaces - well, except Wrath. He's normally down on the Fields, but the rest of them just laze around fulfilling their own nature. Sloth just sleeps all the time. Greed hoards and counts and steals. Gluttony eats constantly. Envy plots and plans how to take what doesn't belong to him. Pride is forever trying to prove himself superior, and Lust just goes around shagging everything that doesn't stay far enough away not to be captivated by his aura. They're all immensely powerful, but I despair to ever get them to focus on something important. Below them are the Demon Lords, taking on at least some of their master's power. Most of them want to kill all the humans and take Earth for themselves. They're the worst ones - at least the Sins mostly stay out of whatever's going on."

Sighing in frustration, he rubs a hand across his face.

"I can't stand it. That's why I'm here - to get something done and find a place where I can fit. Perhaps it might not make sense, looking for that among humans, but I have a better chance here than in the Infernal Realm. As for the Astral Realm, I really don't want to get into a fight with the Archangels. So here I am. Offering humanity the hand of friendship and the chance to see what a Demon Lord's power could do for you."

Gwen put a hand to each temple and massaged them, her eyes closing.
The Angels existed and so do demons. How does this work! They choose to leave us behind and end contact with us because we were below them!? Gwen felt a streak of hot anger flow through her. Her mother had died believing and would never be one of them and her father too. These so called Angels, they were horrible creatures, believing they were above them if what he said is true, they deserved no worship! Her eyes flashed open, her anger showing only in her eyes.

“So you want me to help you fit in to our society and create a new world built on harmony between our worlds.”A grin stretched on her lips, then laughter, loud and happy. She held her side tightly leaning down a bit. Once she caught her breathe she nodded.

“Okay, I will help you, but I will want something in return right now. If you refuse to give it to me then we can’t do business.”
She smiled, her eyes staring directly into his eyes. “I have a plan and you have to follow it to the letter, if you make a mistake, you will make it on your own. Now, to start, you have to change your appearance to that of a human, if you can accomplish this. Then we can begin with the next step, you have to pose as someone else important, at least to me. Seeing as the police will ask who you are…”

Taking a step back she remembered the man in her vision and smirked, “You can pull that off.” She walked towards him poking and prodding him, his muscles and his arms. She put a hand to his wings, they flexed instinctively and it fascinated her. Standing in front of him she looked at his face, his features were handsome, and his eyes. Gwen bit her lip and turned from him putting a hand to her chin in thought.

“You can be my lover,” She said spinning around and looking at him. “The perfect cover, and the perfect reason for you to be here however, if they ask your name, it cannot be your true name. Your name is Roman Woodland. You are my lover and we can discuss this further after we get to the police.” She looked around the room for her bag. It was underneath a pile of ash and a coat. She shivered, dusted it off and opened it and found her car keys.

The Demon Lord's head tilts slightly to the side as Gwen outlines her plan. A smile spreads slowly across his face. He stands motionless as she examines his physique, though a shiver - small, but noticeable - runs through him as she touches his wings.

"I picked well. Smart plan. I would have suggested Noah Ash as a name... if you can work out that reference, I'll be extremely impressed. Roman Woodland is fine, however. Now... a human appearance... you might want to stand back. Compressing my power is a bit of a violent process."

He rolls his head on his shoulders and takes a few paces back. He closes his eyes, bows his head, and raises his arms out to his sides. With a bang, the floor cracks around him, and a vortex of blood-coloured flames begins to swirl. The temperature of the room shoots up. A shimmering whiteness begins to glow from his body as the vortex closes in, quickly building to a blinding intensity. With a final blast of noise and a shockwave that shakes the floor, the light dissipates to reveal the Demon Lord's new shape.

He's retained his impressive stature and physique, but the details of his appearance have substantially altered. His new hair is mid-length and slightly messy, a deep chocolate-brown. The clean-shaven jaw is strong and well-defined. Angular cheekbones draw attention to his piercing blue eyes which look out on the world with a captivating stare, hard and confident yet with just a hint of a hidden warmth. His teeth are white and perfect.

He's also completely naked.

"You don't happen to have some male clothes around here somewhere, do you?"

Gwen took a few more steps back. He was smart she could give him that. "Fine, I have no qualms with the name Noah Ash, it seems to fit you more..."
She would take him with her to a friend and get him the fake paperwork made. She could get at least his I.D. finished but the other paperwork would take at least two hours to fully draw up. She needed them to be more real than usual. This would require more time, which she didn't have but you have to sacrifice right? She watched as the air in the room turns steamy, her body started to sweat almost instantly. The intense light caused her to close her eyes, hand in her face using her purse to keep her hair down. She felt the crack of the floor and the suddenly the quick chill of the room startled her. She took a deep breathe, her mouth open to catch her breathe.

"Well that was, interesting..." She blinked her eyes a few times, he was naked! Her jaw had dropped open, her eyes staring at him. "Whoa-' She managed to squeak out in a soft voice. Her eyes dropped lower and her mouth closed. "Jesus!" She turned around putting a hand on her face and mumbling to herself. "I um, yeah I can have some sent over, but until then, just please put uh-" She looked around the room, and spotted a locker for the scientists and found a change of clothes which included a shirt, a pair of boxers and khaki's, and a pair of black loafers.

She grimaced, "What kind of man wears khakis and such plain shoes too."

Grabbing them she walked towards him, planting her eyes firmly on his. "Here, these um, these will work until I can get you fitted." Turning around again she grabbed her keys and purse waiting for him to change.

The sound of rustling fabric indicates his compliance. After a few moments, he walks up next to her.

"So, what now?"

Gwen rubbed her temples in deep thought for a moment, her eyes closed. "My house is a bit to far from here, that means-" Her eyes snapped open and she reached into her purse to pull out a pocket knife. Glancing to him she nodded, "Alright, give me a moment." She cut a tear into her skirt near her knee, pulling on it she ripped it. Picking up a handful of human dust she shivered and rubbed it on her clothes once more and put it in her hair a bit. Her make-up was already ruined, so no need to mess it up further. Taking her phone out she found she still had signal. Using the last bit she texted a long paragraph to an unknown contact and received a message almost immediately afterward. Putting her phone in her purse again she pulled at the curls in her hair mussing them up a bit more than usual.

"Alright, here is the plan, once we make it to my place, I need you to call the police and tell them you've just come from a business trip in Paris when you got a text from me saying I needed you. Once they ask you if I'm alright you tell them that I've covered in some sort of powder and stammering something about demons and other odd things, after that they'll come to he lap to find this and also to come find me and then we'll take it from there." A text came back to her phone. "Alright, lets go." She pulled the lever to unlock the lab doors that had shut during the lock down. Walking quickly through the underground parking lot she found her car, a midnight blue mustang. Waiting for her new "lover" to follow.

Ar'khash nods, but when they reach the car, he goes to the driver's side.

"No sense in taking chances. This will get reported on the news, so the last thing we need is someone saying they saw you driving a car in perfect self-control right after you were supposedly a victim in some horrible event."

As he's getting in, he stops and frowns.

"Saw... oh crap. Security cameras."

She frowned. "The cameras are fine, I can have those altered, also you're right, but you can drive?" She looked worried.

Unlocking the car doors she sat down in the passenger side. "My apartment isn't far from here. It won't be hard to miss though. Once we leave the lot, go to the right and head a left at the intersection and keep right and once you reach the end of the road, it will lead you down a curve and well of course my neighborhood." She put on her seat belt.

"I have the required knowledge from the souls I absorbed."

He snapped his fingers and the engine started up. Pulling out of the parking spot, he followed the directions she'd given him flawlessly.

Gwen put a hand to her stomach when he said that. The souls?! Oh god, how horrible. Shaking her unpleasant thoughts she looked at him.

"Once we reach my home, you need to pretend to help me inside, than after that my guy friend will send us a package with your things you'll need to have me admitted to the hospital, then we'll go from there."

Her apartment building was the last on the lot and took up the most space. It should!d have just been a home, it large windows and balcony's made it look all the more grand. "Pull in there, and make sure to lock the doors on my car please."

Gwen felt a headache coming but she ignored it, she needed to be aspirin and wine free, at least until after they got his paperwork and her trip to the hospital settled.

He nods, keeping his eyes on the road. As he pulls up to the house, he flicks a finger and the door judders slightly, unlocking and swinging slightly ajar. He helps her out of the car, locking it with another flick, then pulls her arm over his shoulders and "helps" her inside. He's no longer overly hot, but remains perhaps slightly too warm to be normal.

Once they're in, he lets go of her arm and heads for the nearest sofa, lying full-length along it with his hands behind his head.

Gwen went bright red when he "helped" her inside, his body was still abnormally warm but, she didn't mind. Now that they were inside she checked all the windows and locks. Closing the curtains she sat down in a large beanbag chair that was big enough for two if not three fully grown adults. It was the only thing in the room that was not black and white, the bright light blue stuck out amongst all the dull colors. The furniture including the coffee table looked like it was made out of solid wood, and handmade. The fireplace nearest to the middle of the room was painted black and a wall mounted flat screen in white hung on the wall. Beside that a large case made of black wood and glass was filled with movies and two remotes sat atop it. A faux white rug sat in the middle if the living room set, it was lined with a thin black outline.

Leaning into the chair she groaned, "Once the package comes you have to get it and don't worry you can sign your new name, also is that sofa comfortable?" She was staring intently at his shoes, her frown and a raised eyebrow followed as if trained to do so.

He doesn't look up, but snaps his fingers and a fire roars up, dancing merrily in the fireplace.

"Very well. The sofa is excellent, by the way; in the Infernal Realm, we have no such things. I suppose it is what one would call 'comfortable', not a sensation I can claim familiarity with. Those bloody angels hogging all the goods..."

His shoes float off his feet and settle neatly by the door.

"In fairness, the Sins did some pretty serious stuff back before the Separation, but still..."

A moment of silence, before he abruptly sits up.

"We hate it as much as you mortals do... or did, back when they still came. It's hot and smoky and sulphurous and absolutely horribly dull. It's just red and fire and rocks and lava forever, apart from the palaces of the Sins, and they're just dedicated to the nature of their respective masters. There's nothing to entertain a mind there. Not, of course, that many of my fellow demons are worthy of being called truly intelligent, but even the dullest of them wants at least a place to sleep that's more than red rocky ground. I once spent three centuries engraving a landscape of ancient England into a mountainside because I was so bloody bored."

He grins.

"But now... well, I'm out and about and I get to exercise my brain for the first time in forever. That's a definite blessing... though not one given by the angels."
