Personality: Kain is a survival driven vampire, and despite succumbing to his thirst often it isn't the primary driving force in his life. He is distrusting of others and very combative especially when he thinks he is in danger. He is very intelligent despite no longer being alive.
Backstory: Kain's backstory is one cloaked in mystery, ever since he began working at the CDC research building. He is currently on the run from captors,
Inventory: Having been recently captured, all he has are the clothes on his back and a pair of combat knives he stole from two dead guardsmen.

Personality: Alice has a bit of an attitude, is constantly suspicious of others even if she will work with them. Very defensive of her friends, if you are lucky enough to be among them. Is proficient in sarcasm.
Backstory: lucky enough to only get to stage two and not because she was bitten, Alice's senses and reflexes are through the roof. This is due to a combination of luck and having played tennis and softball in high school and college.
Inventory: jeans, a couple tops, utility knife, Glock 19, 37 9mm rounds (that's approximately 2 and a half magazines of ammo)
Extra: Alice had two sisters who died from vampires draining them.

Personality: Blunt, headstrong, and courageous, it's quite obvious to any person with common sense that David usually plays the role of the enforcer in certain situations. Of course, he is not without wit, as seen when others attend to him when he leaves to look around for supplies, for his fear of the infected is quite strong; something that he personally does not like to show to others, in hopes of keeping their morale high. Despite his realist attitude towards the crisis, David is known for having a soft heart deep down, especially for those who are unable to defend themselves.

Backstory: Before the infection hit Chicago, David was a Navy Seaman Recruit that flew in from Atlanta, Georgia to the Naval Station Great Lakes for Basic Bootcamp. News had spread of the disease about halfway through his training, which wasn't anything too alarming at the time. On the night of his divisions final test(Battle Stations-21), all hell broke loose in Chicago, and the Station was sent into a spur. The Station was fortified and used as a temporary base for the military until not only supplies, but morale began to break. Seeing this as a sign to get out, David went AWOL in the middle of the night. A risky and bold move, for anyone would surely get infected. Luckily, he found his way to a small village, and has since served by means of security and supply runs. He currently plans to find a way back to Naval Station Great Lakes and raid the armory for better arms...though the plan, he believes, could be impossible.

Inventory: All contained in a Duffle (Sea) Bag - Small cans of food, two first aid kits, small convenient tools(hammer, some nails, rope, etc.), twenty M9 magazines, some magazines(some 'private', others for entertainment). A set of clothes for appropriate seasons can be found in here as well.

On person - Beretta M9(Standard issue military handgun, kept in a holster. Any military equipment was taken from the Naval Station Great Lakes before things got too hairy), small machete on the side of boots, wooden bat, map of Chicago and the surrounding area, a small flashlight, and a canteen of water.

Extra: David is known to have night terrors.

The Blood-Flu has brought terror to humanity, humbling modern medicine and threatening the political norm of the North American landscape. Millions live in fear of a quarantine failure in Chicago, knowing that sooner or later, the Government's mysterious refusal to sterilise the epicenter of infection will come back to haunt them with avengence. Red faced senators argue for and against a Final Solution to the crisis - the wall vs the nuclear weapon - but some of their more ambitious peers intend to act from the shadows.

Yes, the Blood-Flu brings death and something worse - but it also brings promise. There is much to be gained from understanding the virus, and there are those who seek to unlock the secrets of the infected survivors' biology. They dream of super soldiers, of medical breakthroughs never thought possible.

But to achieve their delusional dreams, they need live subjects, and so the Biological Hazard Containment Unit was formed. Composed of black-listed special forces operatives, the B.H.C.U is a crack military unit created specifically for the acquisition and extraction of infected survivors. Their mission parameters are simple: use any means necessary to achieve the objective and kill whoever or whatever gets in their way.

Dropped into the Quarantine Zone under the public pretence as a pro-active military response to the crisis, the B.H.C.U are looked on by the American taxpayer as the first wave in a military offensive to cleanse Chicago; their real intentions however, are hidden in the deepest depths of the United States Government's bureaucracy.

Personality: Angelo is a hard worker despite and his calm attitude towards most things he does worry about the infection getting worse in everyone but Angelo is also a helper. Angelo couldn't stand by and let those that were hardly infected to be lambs to the slaughter so Angelo wanted to make a haven for everyone that had some sense. Angelo will always do what's right and despite how nice he is he has no problem hurting others that threaten to hurt him or his companions. Angelo is also a loyal person to those that have earned his trust and Angelo has a soft spot for children that have survive the outbreak and cant stop himself from trying to help them.
Backstory: Angelo was originally a normal person who lived his life playing video games since he himself was a game designer. Angelo lived in the area for a while and considered it home for him however when the outbreak began and they were sealed away from the world Angelo couldn't help but feel disgusted seeing people kill each other in the streets and seeing so many people dying from the virus. Since then Angelo has done his best surviving with a few people but each time the group would have someone end up getting to infected and dying or worse become a blood sucker and kill their allies. Angelo then decided that he wanted to build a place where people could work together and survive instead of dying on their own....
