Professor Liddel waited at the theatre hall of Teller University as new charges flowed in. Everyone had been given an all expenses paid ticket to Scandinavia as well as a limo ride to the school. Their possessions were being taken to the co-ed boarding house, leaving them to make their way from the front of the school to the theatre. Theodore stood before a podium, adjusting his notes up on stage. Sitting next to him on stage were other teachers and on the floor were cushioned chairs that were slowly filling up with students. Any student who was not new, as Tamers are placed into the university as soon at they graduate high school, were free to linger or listen in on the information they already knew. Classes would start in two days, giving everyone ample time to become acclimated.

Edith was among the few students who stayed in the theatre to listen to the opening lecture. Mainly because, what else was there for her to do? She spent the summer in Egypt with her mother and had returned only hours ago. She was jet lagged but she was changing rooms so she could not sleep yet and the library was closed for cleaning. At the very least, she assumed she could catch a cat nap while the headmaster discussed the do's and don'ts of TU. She crept up the stares to the balcony seats and looked over the edge to the stage. Only a soft ripple of conversation disturbed the otherwise peaceful but grand room. With its vaulted ceilings and chandeliers, it was more of an opera house than a university theatre room. The air inside was stale, though this was to be expected, for the theatre got very little use throughout the year but it was clean enough and well kept to keep out the draft of the crisp, autumn air.

"Umm, excuse me miss Namid..but aren't you supposed to be at some school?"

The brushing of mane was all that was given in answer. Standing next to a great stallion who held a stance of steady patients was a woman with tanned skin. Body of muscle she was taking care of her companion with careful hands, silver eyes matching his own as if they were twins following the path of muscle that trailed down his body to make sure everything was right with him.
"I was offered a job, dose not mean I'm gonna take it."

Her voice stern she picked up one of the horse's hooves, a hoof pick in hand as she removed the stones from his shoe, going from one to the next till all four were done. Throughout the procedure the fellow ride kept his eyes on the woman, confusion in his gaze. "You said it was one of the best jobs that anyone could offer, so why are you not taking it? Show season is over and it's a school so you could be set all year round, no more odd jobs."

A click of her toung the stallion seemed to almost narrow his gaze along side her as she stared at him. "Cause I done it once and it didn't work out all that well, so I'm not going to waste my time. Just going to head over there to tell the head master that he's better off finding someone else to teach their kids how to ride."

----

True to her word Namid found herself in front of teller university, her stallion behind her she was able to get their fairly easily since her last show was stationed only a few hours away. Gesturing to the gate with her head they went through the courtyards, students looking at the woman who kept her hands in her pockets, her beast following without a lead as they went through the halls only to find the opening ceremonies.
"Came at the worst time, well than Dolsha, guess we should look around since we have a few hours to kill." The beast nodding it's head they began to wander, foot falls being muffled by the hoof beats of iron shoos and gravel roads.

It was a nice place, grand even for her. The buildings of old reaching for the skies, animals running to and from students, each one having untapped power. "Wonder which one is going to end up a killer or something."
A snort given to her in responce the stallion began to keep quiet, his eyes unsettling as he caused some students to shy away from him studying each and every one as though he turned their souls this way and that.
"You don't have to figure it out right now Dolsha, humans are idioticly bad by nature, doubt you'll find one right now."

Vic stepped off the limousine and placed his first two steps in a real Scandinavian city. The feeling was similar to when he first got off the plane, but this time the ambiance and aesthetics really let Vic actualize. He pursed his lips and whistled to his small companion, a rottweiler pup which flew from the back seat of the limo to his side. Vic shut the door and the car drove off, disappearing around a corner. Vic proceeded towards the main entrance of the TU and upon entering, fell breathless the the sight he took in. High ceilings, marble floors and architecture that is flawless. A sight to see indeed.

On the drive up from the airport Vic had been going over this semesters courses and looking at the procedural schedule. First things first was to find the theater hall and sit through a speech given by the head master. Instead of looking down at the school map, which he found confusing, he decided it may be faster to just let Champ do it.

"Hey Champ, you think you can find the Theater hall? It probably has a lot of people in it so focus on a big group of smells instead of one." Vic knelt down on one knee to talk with Champ, and as he stood the rotti pup began sniffing around. It only took champ a few short seconds to pick up a scent, than began the three barks he was trained to do.

"Let's go than! Lead the way" The duo marched through the hallways, the small dog taking the lead and walking at a brisk pace.

If you had told Maria a year ago that she would be going to school to learn about strange mythical beasts, after inheriting one from her estranged grandfather, Maria would have never believed you. But here she was, pulling up in a limo with said strange beast, a Grim named Garren. But right now, he took the form of a Doberman that she called Horatio. Horatio had been very protective to Maria ever since she inherited him, staying close by her side where ever she went when he could, and staying put until she came back when he couldn't follow her. He reminded Maria a lot of police dogs with how well trained and obedient he was, but when it was just the two of them, he also showed of affection and Maria learned quickly that his favorite spot for her to pet was right behind his ears.

And it was good that Maria got along so well with her new beast as she definitely wanted something somewhat familiar and comforting as she went to, what was to her, essentially a new world. Speaking of which, the limo had stopped and she opened the door and stepped out and got her first good look at her new home, or, at least, the school part of it. It definitely looked like a fancy school, maybe not as magical as one would expect it to but that kind of made sense to Maria. Garren was quick to follow Maria as she walked through the school gates and through the crowd of people, taking note of what their beasts' mundane forms were. Some were animals like dogs and birds (there was even a horse!) and some even looked like people! Maria would have loved to examine them closer, but not only did she not know if that was considered rude, she also had to get to the theatre hall for a lecture. She let Garren lead the way, as it seemed like he had been here before and knew the way.

As she was walking, she fell into step with another boy. His beast was also a dog in mundane form and was actually a puppy. So a young beast then? If so, that was kind of cute. "Hi! You new here too?" Maria asked them as they got to the theatre's door and started to look for a seat.

Kilik stared out the window of his limousine as it drove down the street. He sighed and looked at the little boy, Iden, sitting next to him.
"It's the same every year Iden, why can't it be different for once, ya know?" Kilik asked with a frustrated tone.
Iden nodded. He didn't talk much.

Anyway, it was Kilik's 5th year. He had been going since he was 18, and back then he loved it. Now, after listening to the same speeches at the opening ceremony. What he truly yearned for was adventure! Pure, fun, and dangerous adventures with Iden. But his thinking and dreaming was cut short when they approached the school. He took a deep breath of the same old air and started walking into the school, down the hall. The way to the opening ceremony was burned into his brain.

He did enjoy seeing the other tamers wit their beasts mundane forms. A couple people with dogs, there were cats, birds, horses, all types of animals. So far, it looked like he was the only one with a kid as his beast, which was good. He liked to be different.

He walked up to the kids with dogs and asked them if they needed help finding their way through the school.

"What are we even doing here?"
Finding herself in a out crop of marble Namid sat inside, Dolsha looking at her with a quite gaze causing her to narrow her own at the stallion who did not answer.
"Come on, tell me something. We promised we wouldn't become a big thing in this. You remember what they all said about us." A snort escaping the stallion as he stomped his hoof the woman rolled her eyes. "So what if the school can't find another person that taught links or whatever its called here, its not our problem."

All the stallion did was stare, silver meeting silver in a long line of conversation, not a word spoken yet decision upon decision and everything that they done used against each other. After a few moments the woman sighed, leaning back on her perch as the beast shook his head. "Fine, I'll let that annoying head master Liddle try to convince me, but no promises, its a bad idea and you know it."

All the horse done was nod it's head, rising it in a standing prance in a small rear. "Yeah yeah this dose not mean you won.....I'm not being childish here you are!"

Vic walked through the hallways down towards the Theater Hall with champ at his side, slightly in front of him to lead Vic. After a few lefts and a few rights, Vic heard a faint voice coming up behind him. It was muffled, yet, slowly getting louder. Vic turned ever so slightly, enough that his eyes could peer over his right shoulder.

The first thing to catch his notice was a girl. Long red hair, popping blue eyes and a dog that was in front of her. The dog was bigger than champ, it was a doberman. Vic had somewhat of a nostalgic feeling when looking at her and her mundane. Her slight features reminded him of someone that he knew back home, along with the dog as well. Vic could easily put a name to whom he was thinking about back home, but the resemblance was close.

"Yep, first day. It's pretty crazy actually." As Vic spoke anyone could tell he was nervous. His voice shaky, slight stutters nothing to bad but still apparent. As he walked a bit with the girl, another boy came up. The boy was a bit taller than Vic with dark hair. He also seemed older, but not by much. After a moment passed, he offered to show Vic and the girl around the school, an offer Vic wasn't going to pass up.

"After this speech, thing, when everyone's gotta go to their dorm, it would be pretty nice to have a head start." Vic said with a slight chuckle. "I assume you're not new here, huh? Second year, third year?"

Professor Liddel called the front office who then gave an announcement.

"ALL FACULTY AND NEW STUDENTS, PLEASE BEGIN TO FILE INTO THE THEATRE FOR THE OPENING ANNOUNCMENTS. WE WILL BE STARTING SHORTLY. AGAIN, ALL FACULTY AND STUDENTS, PLEASE REPORT TO THE THEATE. THAT IS ALL."

With a snap, the speakers went out. Theodore adjusted his papers for the umpteenth time that day then his tie and adjusted his hair. It was honestly quite a skittish man despite his power and wisdom. He tended to feel a tad bit unhinged. A lizard crawled its way from his pocket to his shoulder to lick his cheek.

Edith heard the announcement just as she was reaching the cusp of slumber. At that same time, Molly walked up to her, hopping onto her lap. Her pink, sequined bow was in dire need of a readjustment but Edith settled on petting the beast's fur with one hand and checked her phone with the other. More students and teachers began to file inside the theatre.

Looking up at the sound of the speakers Namid was found with a stallion looking at her, waiting for the woman to move. "What? I'm not staff yet" the beast just stomped his hoof, his tail flicking he seemed to almost narrow his eyes at her. "Yeah? So what if the lizard boy is there, I said I would think about it."

Seeming to roll his eyes Dolsha grabbed his partner, teeth latching onto the sleeve of her shirt and dragging her to the meeting. Shuffled footsteps yet she did not pull away. She found out a long time ago you don't pull away from a pushy creature.

Standing on the upper level Namid began to lean on the banister, Dolsha looking to vanish from the lighting as she watched what was going on. People ranging from children to her elders all sat down waiting to hear how the start of their year was. Beasts of all types in the bodies of every day animals. "Guess this place has a good crop of students."
