@Hael, I just generally dislike evil for the sake of evil. Besides Evil being a completely subjective concept, I find it hard to believe any being would go out of their way to inflict harm on others without any benefit to themselves.

my character will honestly have more motivation than Vestec, Jvan, Illunabar, Logos or many others for doing what it does. Don't judge a book by its title alone.

Hey, hey, he's fated! As far as you know <.<
Actually, Reathos may not dislike Saltheax all that much, as Saltheax-Yul fully intends on ending his own life at some point. He will never be immortal.

I'm beginning to wonder if there will be anyone who doesn't like Sal xDD

I understand what you mean, but Saltheax-Yul will have motivation for inflicting harm. I realize that you DID say you would wait for the CS, but even then, you're still really assuming a lot about a character you haven't seen.
Aside from that, we have a God of Chaos, a God of Order, my own Goddess of Intelligence, two Gods of Beauty, a God of fucking Perfection, and so on. Those are all highly, highly subjective concepts- many of them far more subjective than Evil.
Tell me, how is Beauty definable, but Evil is too subjective?
And magic as a whole is mockably "hard to believe", yet we have several Gods of Magic. We abandoned reality long ago, Frettzo, and my character will honestly have more motivation than Vestec, Jvan, Illunabar, Logos or many others for doing what it does. Don't judge a book by its title alone.
@Hael, I'm assuming a lot because you said the dude would attempt to get into Hell to be turned into a godbeast so he could destroy things more efficiently.

That's not enough to judge an entire character on, is it?
<Snipped quote by Frettzo>
That's not enough to judge an entire character on, is it? I was only shooting around ideas. I hadn't even settled on doing that for sure, and there is a lot more to Saltheax than that. I feel like you just saw "Evil" and assumed an entire personality for it.
<Snipped quote by Hael>
I judge by what I've seen. That, coupled by all the talk about how evil and twisted and sadistic he is, is all I've ever seen about the character xD It gets difficult to not grow a bit of contempt for the idea of a character who's so consciously evil.

No, you're supposed to have contempt for him IC, but what you said sounded more like your dislike of the character was a judgment on me, Hael not Saltheax, for creating an evil character. Essentially, it seemed like you were telling me that my idea was bad, before you've even seen the idea.
<Snipped quote by Frettzo>
That's not a judgement on Saltheax: that's a judgement on my character creation and writing.
And you know what? It's totally fine not to like my writing and CS. But you should wait to actually see it first. You have not.
