Training: Former Imperial trader, and founder and Dean of the Neimodian University of Theoretical Warfare, a fledgling institution that strives to train Neimodians into competent battlefield commanders. The university's existence is unpopular, and often laughed at, but represents the epitome of Vakelb's extreme nationalistic tendencies.

Notable battles: Though possessing the means to aid either the Empire or the Rebel Alliance, Vakelb used his success as an Imperial merchant to indefinitely stave off his commitment to them.

Bio: As an ambitious Imperial Trader, Vakelb rose to prominence following the defeat of the CIS during the Clone Wars, and the subsequent rise of the Empire. It was a turbulent time, full of chaos, genocide and oppression, but which allowed for men like Vakelb to prosper. Beginning as an arms dealer, he sold off entire stocks of former Trade Federation battle droids to anyone willing to pay his "reasonable" prices - which, at times, was the Empire.

As his wealth mounted, he found himself becoming increasingly unhappy; being a Neimoidian, the race which started the Clone Wars and brought death to millions, he met his fair share of discrimination. Even his Imperial overseers looked down on him with disdain, often calling him a 'filthy coward', and 'unfit to exist' in the glorious ranks of Imperial citizenry.

This kind of treatment drove the trader to embark upon a brief spiritual reflection, and he spent months pouring over the histories of his peoples. The Neimoidians were thought of as greedy cowards, and would sell their own sisters into slavery if it meant making a few quick credits; and as Vakelb put down the last holotome, he could only agree with the notion.

Dismayed at the nature of his peoples, and horrified that he had unwittingly carried on the ways of his forebears without question, Vakelb sought to repair the histories of his people by establishing one of the planet's few native military academies - the Neimodian University of Theoretical Warfare.

His institution was largely mocked and laughed at by his kinsmen, but hundreds of Neimoidians who had become likewise unsatisfied with their merchant-based lives, applied for his courses. Vakelb was no warrior himself, and as the Civil War ended, there was no shortage of former Imperial officers and Rebel Alliance captains to start teaching the aspiring Neimoidian warriors - for the right price, of course.

It has been fifty six years, and the University still stands, but equally, is still considered a benign institution. Frustrated that his peoples choose to carry on their ways, Vakelb has decided to throw his lot in with the New Republic. Taking to the stars in a refitted Clone Wars-era Trade Federation battleship, he answers their call for assistance - purely because he is now too old, and too embittered, to continue working at his university, and feels that only by establishing himself in the histories as the first effective and notable Neimoidian Captain and Commander of the New Republic, will he finally inspire and affect the change in Neimoidian society that he lusts after

Ship name: Honour Bound

Class: Lucrehulk-class Battleship

History: Honour Bound was a derelict Trade Federation Battleship, decommissioned shortly after the end of the Clone Wars, and spent decades awaiting to be scrapped. However, twenty years ago, Vakelb's university required a test-ship for its recruits to practice on, and so, Honour Bound was bought.

Initially, it was refitted without armaments or compliments, but over the years, Vakelb etched away at his dwindling fortunes to restore the ship to its former glory. The Honour Bound now carries a full inventory of Clone War era battledroids, dropships and tanks.

There are also two squadrons of T-85 X-wings, piloted by Neimoidians who have been trained by former Rebel Alliance aces. They are untested in battle, but are fully trained, and form Vakelb's fighting elite as well as his personal escort should he ever take to space himself.

Crew: All of the Honour Bound's crew are Neimoidians who have graduated from the University of Theoretical Warfare. They have yet to face a battle, but have completed dozens of simulations and are fully trained.

Captain Name: Vohrel Dann

Home world: Dac a.k.a. Mon Cala
Appearance: Slightly shorter than average for a Mon Calamari, Vohrel has a slightly unusual dark grey and turquoise colouring to his skin which (perhaps surprisingly, to those not familiar with Mon Cala mating traditions) makes him absolutely repulsive to females of his species. This has always suited him quite fine though, as he has always considered the pursuit of women to be 'That great distraction which plagues the minds of the otherwise sensible'.

Appearance

Training: Vohrel holds 1st Class Awards in 'Astrophysics', 'Starship Maintenance' and 'Power Distribution Systems Analysis' from the Mon Cala Institute of Engineering. He worked as an engineer on several of the smaller capital ships of the Rebellion fleet during the civil war.

Notable battles: Vohrel was serving as Chief Engineer on the Liberty-class Star Cruiser Daccian Sunrise during a pitch battle with the Imperial Remnant over Dubrillion when the ship took a direct hit to the bridge, killing the Captain and most of the other ranking officers in one swoop. As the highest ranking member of the crew, he took command of the ship and was later decorated for his actions in minimising the loss of life from the incident which could quite easily have resulted in the ship being lost under a less able officer. As soon as the Daccian Sunrise had finished repairs he was placed in permanent command. He went on to captain the ship through several notable battles, securing a reputation as a commander the New Republic leaders could trust.

Bio: Vohrel Dann was born as the runt of the litter. Shunned and teased by his brothers and sisters because of his unusual colouring, Vohrel spent much of his childhood alone reading books on everything from history to literature to engineering. As a juvenile, he was top of all of his classes and spent most of his free time in the libraries of Dac just reading and writing. He was an exceptionally young applicant to the Mon Cala Institute of Engineering, completing his 1st Class Award in Astrophysics in less than two years. Still far too young to do anything with his qualification, he decided to take on two more courses centered around a fascination with starships he had cultivated during his studies of Astrophysics. Upon completion of these, he was snapped up as an apprentice at one of the leading Mon Cala shipbuilding yards.

When the Galactic Civil War broke out, Vohrel found that less and less of his work was being done building new ships, while more and more of it was spent fixing ships that had been damaged during the fight against the Empire. He took the decision to enrol in a program which took established civil engineers and fast-tracked them through as engineering officers, which were in high demand on the capital ships of the Rebel fleet.

History: Originally built as a luxury starliner, the Daccian Sunrise was retrofitted for combat at the beginning of the Galactic Civil War. It spent much of the beginning of it's military career patrolling home sectors as part of a small defensive flotilla, but following heavy Rebel losses it was pressed into service one the frontlines under the command of veteran Mon Cala Captain Balur Fuhg. She took part in several key battles over Alderaan, Utapau and Bespin before the Battle over Dubrillion saw the deaths of most of the senior staff, leading to Vohrel Dann taking commmand.

Bio: Ryan was born on the Factory world of Balmorra. To keep Him from working in the factories, his mother Sara sent him to the Imperial naval academy. While Ryan didnt care much about his Future Imperial service, he did his best because he knew his mother did a lot to get him in. Soon he would be the top of his class. Ryan not only excelled in his academics, but also in physical activities. In his spare time, he would use the academies faculties to stay in shape. Unlike many of the other officers Cadets, he trained in hand to hand combat, and trained in boarding actions.While Ryan was very serious 90 percent of time, there were leisure actives he enjoyed. reading, local student boxing league,swimming and even small scale betting on races. At some point during his time in the academy, Ryan would meet a girl that would later become his wife. At first they were like oil and water. Ryan a serious Balmorran student, who didn't care about empire being the dominant force in the galaxy, and Linda, a rebellious girl from Alderaan who hated Ryan for his attitude off empire and believed him to be a Social elite, due to her believing his uncaring personality to be a career military man who would kill villages and his own men to get advancement. As they got older their attitudes changed.
As it got closer to graduation, Linda and Ryan would see a more personal side of each other. Ryan reading and writing messages to his family back home, that he came from a mother who worked in the factories, a sister, who attended to the Imperial governors daughter and a brother, who had joined the rebel army. slowly they grew closer, becoming close friends. They would remain friends even up to their graduation,when the knew they would be assigned to different ships. Had it not been for the news of Alderaan, With its destruction, Linda couldn't continue to serve the Empire.Ryan, who didn't care about serving the empire to begin with, and with a brother already with the rebels, and a family secretly taken in by the rebels, he had no reason to stay with the empire. The night before they were supposed to embark on their careers, they fled the academy by way of rebel agents, that were sent by his brother, and pure luck they got off world, by way of cargo hauler. after their escape, in order to repay ryan's brother and to earn their stay both willingly served on board the invincible. Ryan, due to his training and skill was to replace the second officer onboard, while Linda was given a position as a communication officer. Serving under a charismatic Captain by the name of Vic Volin, a man who, in ryan's eyes, was what it meant to be a good officer. Caring, brave, loyal and strong, There was no one the ship that he didn't know in some way or another. He was well liked by everyone, with the entire crew willing to follow him into thee thickest of fighting.

History: The adopted daughter of a former Imperial Captain, former slave she was brought up with tales of his battles. After he abandoned his military career, her father began working in shipping. Kila would accompany her father on many of these jobs, transporting all sorts of things. During travel her father would teacher things required to to be a good captain, By the time of jakku, at the age of 18, she had learned alot, not only from her father, but books, and the few rebel captains she had met during her time working with her father. 20 years later, with the rag tag fleet assembling she volunteered to join the crew. With high hopes of being a captain she believed she could do it. Sadly while due to her theoretical knowledge of captaining was great her leadership skills were lacking. Her strategic and tactical were very text book, while good in a class room would prove to be deadly since she showed an inability to be flexible when it came to changing plans.

Name: Captain Theo Millon

Appearance: Blond Haired, approximately 5 ft. tall, generally wears standard New Republic Navy attire, Caucasian, brown eyes.

Training: Imperial Naval Academy, served as an officer on the Imperial Star Destroyer "Resistance" before defecting to the Alliance.

Notable Battles: Battle of Yavin 4, Retaliatory Strike (8 Months before Defection), Battle of Endor, serving on the command ship of Admiral Ackbar

Bio: Theo Millon served as a Lieutenant Commander of the Imperial Class Star Destroyer "Resistance" after graduating from the Imperial Naval Academy. He had wanted to serve in the Imperial Navy like his father, Admiral Edward Millon. He was serving aboard the fleet which responded to the destruction of the Death Star by assaulting Yavin 4 as the Rebels fled. Approximately 8 Months after that, he received word that his father had been killed. He received no further intel then that, and decided to search up what happened himself. He found out that his father had been secretly aiding the Rebel Alliance and Rouge Jedi who escaped from the Great Purge.

He respected his father so much that he understood why he did this, and did the same. He defected from the Empire and joined the Rebellion. At the Battle of Endor he served on board the Command Ship of Admiral Ackbar, the "Home One". Some time later, he was promoted to Captain and given command of a small patrol fleet of two old MC-80 Mon Calamari Cruisers (The "Crusader" and the "Colossus"). He wasn't satisfied though, and wanted a third ship of his own, a Command Ship. The New Republic had scarce resources and could not spare one, however, so he went looking for his own.

On patrols he would scan nearby planets for crashed/disabled Capital Ships, but wasn't finding much luck. Then, while on patrol near Dantooine, he picked up something. A massive capital ship crashed on the plains of Dantooine. He took some men and went down to investigate, finding it to be a nearly intact, but heavily damaged and degraded Venator Class Cruiser. Doing a little more searching, he found it used to be a part of his father's fleet, but it went missing in action back in the Clone Wars.

He now dedicated all his time and resources to bringing it back online. It took a few months, but they finally managed to get the engines online. After a shaky but successful liftoff into orbit, they slowly trudged back to the birthplace of the Venator, Kuat. After a few more months, it was back in working order. Known as the "Regardless", this would serve as Millon's Command Ship from that point onward.

Other: Millon loves working with old tech, especially from the Galactic Civil War and anything that predates it. He is a big fan of the Z-95 Starfighter line, and wishes he could get his hands on a few Clone Z-95s, most of which have been destroyed. He settles for constantly upgrading the design produced during the GCW. They have not seen combat yet however, but they have been tested and are fully functional.

Other: The "Regardless" has been brought into the new age of battleships due to the repairs and modifications at the Kuat Drive Yards. It has enhanced shields and hyperdrive, but still uses the Old Republic Blue Cannonfire the Grand Army of the Republic was known for. It is still quite effective in battle, and is now more powerful than its descendants, the Imperial Class Star Destroyers the Empire was known for using.

Appearance: The same height as Millon, with short brown hair, and generally wearing a Pilot Suit.

Role: Under Millon, she is the primary commander over the starfighter forces aboard the "Regardless".

History: Soti was born on Corellia, a hub for shipping and smuggling operations. Her father, former Captain of the "Sarrish Pride", was forced into retirement after he sustained a back injury from Imperial Stormtroopers after they raided his ship for any illegal shipments. Yeah, he was carrying some, but they never found it. After this, he kept his freighter in dry dock until Soti was old enough to fly.

At this point, Soti took over as Captain of the Pride, and would make many illegal runs to Rebel Bases across the galaxy. She held deep resentment over the Empire after what they did to her father, and would help in any way she could (while still remaining a legitimate freighter) to see their downfall. After the Emperor was killed at the Battle of Endor, she decided to join the Rebellion.

Soon it became the New Republic, and she was trained in Starfighter combat by her request. She served the New Republic Navy deployed on the "Home One", until she was transferred to the "Regardless" and promoted to Wing Commander by Captain Theo Millon. She still has her old freighter, but she tends to use the advanced T-COM 85 X-Wing Starfighter nowadays.

Appearance: Short hair, dyed blueish green purple at ends. Normally in Republic uniform or combat armor, spray painted custom colors.

Training: Attending the New Republic Fleet Academy from age 16, he graduated top of his class however with several notices of Insubordination as well.

Notable battles: While not official he has been responsible for several of the plans that have helped get Republic and Resistance intelligence resources they need.

Bio: Unconventional, is about the kindest thing you can say about this Line-Admiral. An artist and Republic PR nightmare he encourages custom painting of Republic fighters, working with the Resistance, and publicly mocks the old Imperial government. However Ackbar, Leia, and Garm feel he is exactly the right kind of man to lead a fleet like this, as he is just as unorthodox as many of the great Rebellion captains. Plus his artistic streak will give his attacks a flair most Republic vessels lack.

Formerly he severed as Crix Madine's captain for the border fleets, however Crix was recalled to the Hosnian system to relay reports to Senate about Starkiller base. He lost his life their along with the most of the fleet, his command ship however, one two remaining Star defender Viscount cruisers remained. As Crix's right hand man and Crix being the man who wrote the book on how to fight the Empire, Sorus was naturally chosen.

History: Designed by Admiral Ackbar as a counter to the Super Star destroyer class vessels the Independence was named after the Rebellion cruiser which survived the battle at Endor and Jakku. Only three Star Defenders were ever built. One guards the core and served as a mobile command ship for Republic military personal, as well as a hive for NRI agents. The Defiance, the flagship of the Senate fleet was destroyed at Hosnian. The last Star Defender was assigned to the border of the Unknown region, while it's entire fleet has been recalled Line Admiral Faihe fleet will be built around this vessel, ready to prove it's worth.
