First Age of Heroes
Introduction;
We all grew up hearing stories of heroes, those champions of justice who made it their purpose to enforce the law on those who felt above it. The paragons of hope standing tall in the darkest of nights as a beacon for the rest of us, leading us to the next day. But the world isn't really like that at all. Here, in reality, things are unfair and the guy who can bend the rules enough without breaking them wins. The crooked and wicked sit atop the pyramid of power casting stones down on the rest of us. They live in fear that one day they will end up back at the bottom, clawing their way up with the rest of us 'regular folk' only because someone stronger or more cruel claimed their seat of influence. That's why this place is so twisted, we've learned just how bad we have to be to find any good. The world forces evil out of you for survival. It's been a long time since these superpowered beings began to surface, turning the world on it's head and finding yet another way to widen the gap between those in power and the powerless. Using their god-like abilities to strike fear into the rest of us and forcing us to our knees. In this world, the guy with the biggest stick and the coldest heart wins and that's just how it's always going to be. At least until somebody changes it.
In whatever way you've gained your powers or abilities is, at this time, irrelevant. Right now you play an integral part of the development of the human race. For the first time, you are going to take responsibility for your species as a whole and push to change them. With your individual uniqueness, you will set out to change what has been the norm for far too long. Thankfully, you aren't alone in this quest. You will have others who, like you, have adopted a new mindset towards the world and have finally taken the mantle of responsibility.

Setting;
The current date that this Roleplay will begin on will be January 1st 2016, planet Earth in the Solar System Sol. Our main setting for this Roleplay will be the old faithful New York, New York although characters are free to roam as they please. As events transpire I will update this section with important moments to keep everyone informed and updated (at least I'll try).

Rules & Guidelines;
- Appreciate your mortality, you may be an all-powerful being but you're still able to die and feel. Amazing personalities aren't grown overnight they develop.
- You may not kill someone's character without their consent and consultation from me.
- People who are believed to abandon the Roleplay will have their characters put under control by me and most likely exterminated.
- In the beginning, you're only allowed the one character. You may be allowed more as the Roleplay progresses.
- No Metagaming, indomitable characters or controlling other's characters.
- All NPCs are controllable by everyone within reason. Don't just jack someone's NPC wife or kill off some important NPCs just because.
- Collaboration posts are encouraged, please work them out via PM and then have one of you post it within the IC.
- Cosmic level characters are banned from appearing in this Roleplay as of this moment in time. You can still have history or abilities involving them but they will not appear.
- You are not just a character in a play, you are an entity that influences in this world. Don't wait on me to create stuff for you to do. You can form a super team, create a complex story for others to fall into, build upon your character & more. Please don't feel constricted.
- By creating a character sheet you agree to acknowledge you may very well be rejected, no hard feelings.
- DO NOT and I repeat NOT post your Character Application here at all, please PM it to me. Failure to follow this rule will disqualify your application and potentially forfeit your right at future applications.
- My word is law, even if I contradict myself.
- There is no winning or losing so don't try to do that, let's aim to enjoy this.
Character Information;
When it comes to your character I want you to keep in mind a few things. For starters you're a fledgling hero you might have potential but you will not achieve in the beginning. When making your character keep in mind this is not you creating the character's story, you're setting up to write their story within this Roleplay so give them flaws, dilemmas and goals that motivate them and problems that hinder them. From the beginning of this Roleplay you have, at most, six months worth of vigilante work. As far as abilities go, I don't really have a limit because everyone will have to pass my inspection first anyway so all magical objects or powered items are open to your ownership, if two people want the same object we will cross that bridge when it comes. If you would like to be related or connected to canon Characters the only stipulation I will put in place is they cannot train you at the current time of this Roleplay and they cannot be living with you at the current time of this Roleplay. There is no limit on the amount of abilities and powers you may have but be reasonable, I'm not going to accept characters who are clear ripoffs or are entirely over powered. Choose abilities and powers you'd enjoy writing about, not powers that are overly strong. Characters should be older than 16 but younger than 40.
