Getting your excuses in early, I see.

On a more serious note, I do hope people aren't dissuaded from joining if they miss out on the character of their choosing. I wanted to make this game because I wanted to play with you guys, not because I wanted a specific character, so if I miss out on somebody I'll happily pick someone else so I can play my part. Back on the Hype all of the marque characters would be snapped up within a day or two and if you arrived late you'd end up playing someone like Shocker or Colossus just to tag along for the ride. And the game was better for it.

I'm just whining because Byrd is better than me, obviously. I have a lot of creativity and even though I've put a lot of though into Supes it wouldn't take me long to come up with a character I could play long term at all. I just want to write with others like how we did the Captain America / Iron Man collaboration or Bounce's Lor-Zod and my Kara-El or Sloth's Robin and my Batman or Dblade's Iron Fist and my White Tiger. Those were the most fun for me to write.

Yeah, I'm far more partial to shorter, back and forth-style interaction that Titanpad collaboration posts that take three weeks to write. I don't expect 1,500 word posts from everyone. That's not what "Advanced" is as far as I'm concerned. It's about quality - emotional weight, depth, consequence, a sense of direction. You can achieve that without every post being an eighteen part epic.

I've always defined Advanced RP as:

"Advanced roleplaying should focus on developing interesting and complex characters that become part of plot-lines which catch the imagination and inspire the writer behind them to exercise creativity. It is mature, humorous, imaginative, tragic, terrifying, passionate, and rife with descriptive language and characters with real personality and relatable cares. Quality posting is far better than needless novels, yet one should never neglect detail when one feels the need. However, while word and paragraph requirements ought to be unnecessary, single paragraphs cannot contain enough detail to suffice."

Question. I know this is Marvel/DC and all that jazz, and we are in the works of making heroes for this team, but what is the policy for making a villain/bad guy/not necessarily evil person? If this was already answered, I apologize, but I just got a brainstorm on who I wanna be for this, but he/she isn't a good guy/superheroic. Just wondering. I got back-ups in case.
