Doesn't surprise me. You fuckers are all talk, no action!

I suppose we criticize only what we are insecure about with ourselves.

Some people posted the two best apps this RP's seen so far within mere minutes of each other, so how's that for action.

Of course, I couldn't tell you who...my sheets are trash. Haven't even been accepted!

If you play Lex without an ounce of nuance all you're going to do is play a caricature of Lex.

You have to bear in mind that Lex himself doesn't consider himself a bad guy - he thinks he's a good guy. Nobody walks around thinking they're a bad guy (except maybe Thanos) otherwise they wouldn't do anything at all. Nobody is suggesting you play Lex as a hero. Just that you remember in his own story he is the protagonist and that at this point in the story he's at the top of his game. The Justice League are the undisputed premier superhero team in the world and LexCorp is doing well.

You have an opportunity to do something other than Superfriends Lex. Make use of it.

I was never going to have him walk around evil laughing as he murders dozens of people. In fact I just looked over my sheet and think that that little Christmas day thing was dumb and bad. I realize he doesn't see himself as the bad guy. That I know. His criminal connections are there so he can make money and then send the Justice League after to gain fame. He isn't running a human trafficking ring, he isn't a drug lord, and he certainly isn't planning on taking over the planet with some kind of mega superhero mind control device. He's not about to go give weapons to terrorists unless he plans on taking them out. That's having fun with him leading the JLA, do you really not think he would set himself up with enemies to fight when things quiet down? And he is definitely going to go after real bad guys. Its not like I'm saying all JLA villains are funded by Lex Luthor. He's not emperor Palpatine. I don't see why I can't have him be the leader of the JLA without him being a manipulative jerk out for himself. Yeah he wants to use people like Captain America but its not like he's going to send him to unwittingly kill the Queen of England.

And frankly saying that my character is without an ounce of nuance or is "superfriends Lex" is pretty uncalled for. Perhaps we should discuss this via PM instead of on the actual OOC. This probably won't get us anywhere as it is apparent that you have a certain way you want Lex to be portrayed and I think you're seeing "he has criminal connections" as "Lex is openly stating that he intends to rule the world."

Ah-ha-ha! I'm picking up what you're putting down.

It's Joe Chill, right?

(Also, I was fairly certain that's where you were going with it.)

Well, it was him or Bart. Those are the Byrd Man's wheelhouse, from my experience.

@Byrd Man Once you've found some way to shoehorn a City Councilman, a Supreme Court verdict, or a missing girl into your first Captain Cold post your transformation into a satire of yourself will be complete.

Its probably the internet's fault and the fact that its easy to read something differently than the writer intended. Wasn't trying to be difficult I just really want to play in this game you've set up. I'll take the Magneto stuff and the more over the top points I noticed myself out. Other than that can we agree to disagree 'homie?'

Make sure this shit jives with what you want to do.

"I’m living everyday like a hustle. Another drug to juggle, another day another struggle"
-- Notorious B.I.G.

Name: Leonard Snart/Captain Cold

Alignment: Evil something.

Affiliation: The Rogues

History:

Lenny Snart was born into an abusive family. An alcoholic father who beat on him, his mother, and sister until he finally went to jail for vehicular manslaughter. Young Lenny was angry at the world and lashed out by becoming a criminal, first petty shoplifting and strong arm robbery. At the age of sixteen he graduated to armed robbery and B&E. He was in and out of prison over the years, eventually hooking up with a lover/partner named Michelle Rory. The young woman was obsessed with fire and had shady connections in Central City. One of her connections offered the couple money for taking part in an experiment.

Dr. Phineas Mason, working for Central City's shadowy crime boss known only as The Top, injected a metahuman gene stimulant into both Snart and Rory, activated their dormant metahuman genes. Snart's abilities manifested in ice while Rory's abilities were fire-based. The two lovers went on a robbery spree through Central and Keystone Cities, stopped only by the Flash. They were both sent to Iron Heights Maximum Penitentiary where they met like-minded criminals with special skills. Together, Snart and the other criminals broke out of the prison and developed their own crew know as the Rogues.

Supporting Cast:

Rogue group makeup is currently a placeholder and dependent on other players' plans.

The Rogues

Leonard Snart/Captain Cold
Michelle Rory/Heatwave
Evan McCullough/Mirror Master
Max Dillon/Electro
Digger Harkness/Captain Boomerang
Aleksei Sytsevich/Rhino

Enemies

Dr. Phineas Mason - Scientist responsible for Cold's powers.
The Top- Mob boss for Central City
The Flash - Do-gooder and all around pain in the ass.

How (if at all) does the New Frontier version of your character differ from the original?: Cold has powers and is more interested in potential revenge on Dillon for changing him and trying to topple Grodd as the top power in Central City.
