Bio: Nao grew up in a village near the southeastern coast. When she was 4 she was taken from her family by force during a raid from one of the Warlord's armies. She was brought to the Capital Sasszara from one of the eastern countries and trained to become a Warrior since its Warlord was lacking soldiers. Nao however wasn't cut out to be a swordfighter, but she showed a great talent in Martial Arts and sneaking around. One of the Warlord's closest Generals noticed that talent and her training got a bit altered. Instead of training her to become a Soldier in the warlord's army, she was trained to become an assassin.
Several years of though training have passed and when she was 16 she got her first mission which she flawlessly completed. From that day one she was sent on numerous missions, but after about 4 years she found out that her targets, Bandits, Criminals, Spies, Saboteurs, monsters, practicer of black magic she was told to assassinate mostly were people who simply didn't work like the higher ups wanted them to. So they had to disappear. When she realised that she was simply used, Nao decided to leave the country but not without taking care of one last job... The next day Nao was like fallen off the face of the earth, most of the Warlord's subordinates were killed in that night and the dead corpse of the General hung down from the highest tower in the capital. His clothes got ripped off his chest and engraved in his chest was the word
LIAR.
Not knowing where to go Nao simply followed her nose, but her journey wasn't easy. When it was found out that Nao was responsible for the Generals death, a high bounty was put on her head. So she had to stay in the shadows and eventually take down bountyhunters. Wounded and almost completely starved she was found by Farastio Balmaris, Nao thinking it was another one going after the bounty didn't think twice about attacking him. But she was eventually overpowered by Farastio, it was the first time she lost a fight. As it turned out he wasn't after her, he came back from a festival and was on his way back to Partika. He invited her to accompany him. She hesitated a bit but a grumble from her stomach she changed her mind. She accepted the invite but she never let her guard down, it could be a trap after all.
Back in the Capital of Rantel Nao got something to eat and was patched up. After Nao was almost fully recovered Farastio visited her again and made her an offer. Stay and become one of his retainers, but not as an assassin who kills the innocent, but as a protector of the people. Even if she declined she was allowed to stay in Rantel, safe from all the bountyhunters, killers and assassins who were after her. After some consideration she agreed, but she still wonders why he didn't take the chance back then and cash in the bounty, it would have been easy for him and more profitable than one assassin gone rogue...
-OTHER APPEARANCE INFORMATION- 6'10", 315 Pounds -NAME: Maxwell "Tank" Pentaghast -AGE: 21 -DIVISION NUMBER: 3 -ARMOR AND WEAPONS: Mythril Plate Mail (If that's a thing) Mythril full helemt Family Sword, which he stole before he was disowned. Family Buckler, which he also stole. Smithing Hammer, not really a weapon but can be used as an ineffective one. -LIKES: Fights, Dumb Humor, Being Quick and to the Point, Smithing and Repairing his equipment -DISLIKES: Reading, Political Games, Flowery Language -HOBBIES: Smithing, Repairing Equipment, The Occasional Fine Arts Performance
-SKILLS: I sorta divided this up into how he matches up against the different kinds of weapons used.
This is by far Maxwell's best match up. When it comes to sword play, he uses a very defensive style and generally read where his opponents swings will land. His offensive capability is rather lacking, as he only swings his sword when he knows he can land a heavy hit. With that being said, it only takes a few blows for him to take down his foe, as it hits with tons of force on each swing.
This is Maxwell's worst matchup. With him being a naturally very large and slow man, it takes him awhile to catch up to long ranged opponents. He generally makes a very slow advance towards them, using cover when he can. Unfortunately for him, the fast and agile target can almost always outrun him, rendering him basically useless for an offensive threat.
Maxwell performs decent against this match up. Although rouges are fast an hard to hit, Maxwell can easily move his buckler to at least block one of the daggers. His armor does well against the small knives as well, allowing him to take several hits.
Maxwell does extremely well in this match up as well. He is well versed in a small assortment of fighting styles, and his sheer size and strength makes him an intimidating foe to most anyone.
-BIO: Maxwell was born into nobility and was fed from a silver spoon since birth. However, around his teenage years, he grew to resent the lavish life he grew up in. He craved the rush of battle, and the petty fencing and archery matches held by his family didn't suit him well, as he did very poorly. He did do well in using a shield and buckler and unarmed combat. The more and more Maxwell practiced these kinds of things, the more his parents began to worry. As Maxwell spent more of his time doing what the nobles called "primitive battle techniques," he started to hang out with non-nobles. Maxwell started to engage in street brawls, bar fights, and sometimes even highway robbery solely for the rush of combat. His parents were outraged, and quickly disowned their son and tried to have him and his friends executed. Maxwell got away, but his friends were not as fortunate. Maxwell fled and found himself as a mercenary, laying low and away from his former family. -MISC FACTS: -Generally spends most of his time repairing his armor, as it takes quite a beating on a regular basis. -When need be, Maxwell can "clean himself up" quite well, thanks to his noble heritage. Although he loathes it, he can be diplomatic when needed. He uses this as a last source or when he is forced to go to a political event. -Strangely enough, Maxwell enjoys plays and stuff of the like an has an extensive knowledge on them.
