Unleash the Dogs of War! (Warhammer Fantasy Roleplay)[Mature]

Well, I've had enough of guns and lasers for a bit, so I'm looking at getting together a crew of mighty folk and trudging instead around the world-that-was AKA the 'Warhammer' world; this tale will, obviously, be set before the End Times and the current Age of Shitigmar.

A fan of Gotrek and Felix? Ever played the D&D-esque version of Warhammer Roleplay? Just a general fan of WHFB, fantastical settings and epic quests?

Then come aboard!

I'll be opening the floor up to most races (although probably with the exclusion of the Undead and Chaotic forces), and looking for - even encouraging - mature themes and content E.G. feel free to describe hacking someones head off, making love to a beautiful woman, or generally non-kiddy friendly things as you like.

If you're a fan of the Conan publications, or R.E.Howard in general, then that'll probably help too.

So, do I have anyone willing to join me?!

That's hard to say. I've read almost every book like 6 times over, and I finished the last two in the End Times last year. Maybe Skavenslayer or Dragonslayer. Orcslayer is also really good, but that's mainly because I am a huge fan of Dwarves.

@Blackbeard No, this is going to be a narrative-driven RP - although like D&D etc the choices you make will always have consequences; as for having a storyline...I do have one, but let us just say it's slighty malleable.

@agentmanatee Skaven are for killing and possibly underhanded dealings; unlike Orcs or Ogres, who are not inherently evil by nature, the rat-men wish for the downfall of all other races. Not the best of travelling companions, really.

Alright, well I'll say that my reason for asking and my major worry is that, assuming we will all be a band of warriors off on an adventure, if we are all different races in a world like Warhammer it...doesn't really fit. At least for me. If we are all out on our own as lone sharks though I've played in RP's like that before and everyone just does their own thing in a sandbox and never interacts. Those are my worries, I'm not sure how your going to tackle those problems (If you even see them as problems, it might just be me?) But I'll await your response before deciding if I'll join or not.

@Blackbeard What exactly concerns you? I can think of legitimate reasons for pretty much every race in WHFB to fight side-by-side, please feel free to voice your concerns and I can address them; if it comes down to it I can limit it to 'good' races, but I'd like to know what you've to say first.

Well...I thought I just said it? XD those are my concerns really, having a team of every race (or however many player their are) seems...unlikely, otherwise I feel we would be too segregated. Please don't limit your RP (and what other players want to play as) on my account though! If I'm not sure I'll like how it will play out I'll simply not join up, no need to alter the RP to my needs.

I'll try to elaborate though, I guess its mostly me being picky? but having an Orc fight side-by-side with an human (Which by your answer seems to be what will be happening) seems unlikely at best, now I imagine you very well can think of a reason that could end in such a case but having an Orc-Human-Ogre-Skaven-Lizardman fighting side by side? that would be way to far for me personally.
Equally, whilst it seems not the case, if everyone isn't in a rag-tag group together then most often than not people get segregated and play out their own storylines, personally I like a very strong plot to link everyone together (which you might have but this only applies if you intend not to have a group)

Last and...probably least, I love playing Chaos :P Which wouldn't stop me from joining if all else is addressed but I just wanted that out there!

P.S - I hope nothing of what I am saying comes across as 'I don't think you'll have a good enough storyline etc etc' I hope you understand all my concerns I've laid out are nothing to do with writing skill etc, don't want to offend anyone (Not even sure if I've come across as such I just want to make sure) It's just I like believable circumstances, and if you want to do something a bit more wild and out there have all the fun in the world! It just won't be for me :)
