[IC] Across the New World

[Wick]

Lilly crept through the woods a little nervously. The town was up ahead but she was in unfamiliar territory and she could hear a large animal growling somewhere around her. She stayed still and waited. After a few minutes she took off running and could hear it chasing her.

[Aristocles]

Litrix walked down the forest path leading to town. He was still not used to this temperate climate, and he didn't like the feeling of the cool dirt under his feet. Still, the rest of his armor and clothes kept him warm enough.

Suddenly, he heard a sound coming out of the woods. Like an animal chasing someone. Drawing his two-handed sword, he ran in the direction of the sound.

[Wick]

Lilly grabbed a low lying branch and swung herself up into the tree to avoid the wolf like animal chasing her. The wolf kept trying to jump on the tree to try knocking her out of it. She held fast. She was a good tree climber and it had saved her more than once. Lilly settled in for a long wait. She knew she had to outlast him.

[Aristocles]

She didn't have long to wait. Litrix burst onto the scene, cutting the wolf almost in half with his greatsword. After taking a moment to catch his breathe, the dracon looked up at the lady in the tree.

"Hi there! You okay?"

[Wick]

Lilly looked down and waved. " Yes, I'm alright. Thank you!" she said hopping down. "I was certain I'd have to stay up there for quite some time."

[Aristocles]

"You're most welcome. So, if it's not too much to ask, what exactly are you doing here? I was heading into town" Litrix replied.

[Wick]

"I am heading into town as well. I'm not from around here though and not as familiar with the area as I should be."

[Aristocles]

"Ah, same with me. I'm not from these lands. Or this continent. The snout and horns probably gave that away, I'll bet" Litrix gave her a fang-filled smile to emphasize his point.

[Wick]

"Well I'm not real certain that this town is safe. I've heard a lot of stories on the way here that said it is dangerous. Maybe we should stick together?"

[Aristocles]

"Alright, I'll come with you. Maybe we can find some work. And if you know the way around, I'd be glad to tag along" Litrix replied.

[Wick]

Lilly stayed close to Litrix as they neared the town. Obviously they were new to town and everyone stared at them for this reason. Animals and children were pulled back so as not to get to close. Lilly determined that they were afraid of Litrix. She looked at him when he wasn't aware of it. He was an interesting person and he was friendly to her and that was all she really cared about. She tried to give some of them a mean glare but since it wasn't in her nature it just looked like she had something in her eye. They continued to the nearest business with a help wanted sign up.
