GM Introduction:
Hello all. I do have another group RP but it's agonizingly sluggish right now so I want another pet project. This time however, I will be limiting the size and strictly enforcing it. Below, you will find a few positions which are free for the taking, however this isn't first come, first serve. I will accept multiple applications for each role and will pick between them. If you're the only applicant, then I guess it's your, provided you're still approved with your sheet.
Now while this says it's inspired by F.E Fates Revelation, you don't have to have played it/finished it to join our ranks. The beauty of finding inspiration is that you can take what you want but add your own spin, which I intend to do as our adventure progresses. If you have had some experience with the games, you may have an advantage but I'm not taking every character class and plot twist with me, so don't feel too comfortable or relaxed either. It's my job as GM to plan for events and interactions but it's the players who make things happen. So nothing is really set in stone.
Also, you need to anticipate death, injury and defeat. Not every battle will leave you unscathed. And characters may die, if yours is killed, you are encouraged to rejoin with another character. While I want to keep this a very contained group, I do want us to add new roles and maybe have others sit out. Maybe we have a lot of people in our group but for each quest, only a few are able to go. Dynamics are meant to be challenged and altered. So if you want to submit five characters but focus on one or two from time to time, you're welcome to do so.
General Premise:
Two kingdoms are at war with one another, and have been for roughly seven years though even such a short while ago, not many can recall what actually broke the peace. Both kingdoms are powerful and have plenty of allies. And both kingdoms have folks who want to rebel and fight for the opposing side. Unrest is an everyday feeling and many cities and towns are becoming new battlegrounds for the two kingdoms and their armies. After fighting for so long, the lands are becoming wastelands. Food is becoming scarce and so is the once flourishing population of the land.
Enter a group who knows where the true enemy lies. This group has been recently formed with those from both kingdoms. This group is led by a mysterious set of twins who claim the real enemy is the demon controlling the two rulers of each kingdom. These two twins have seen such destruction before and want to help bring peace to the land before all hope is truly lost. Together, they've convinced only a handful of people to fight for the innocent and to bring down the invisible hands which control the two kingdoms' fate.
We will be starting with our characters already companions. How your character was convinced is up to you. If your character comes with a sibling, retainer, servant, pet, etc, that is fine but you must include another sheet for it as well. I will be the two twins who hail from another world where the two demons have already ruined with their eternal rivalry. Our group will have a sanctuary where we will go to regroup, tend to our wounds, etc. As a note, there will be slice of life and action. There will also be a lot of travel and saving people, so don't go into this thinking it's all action or it's going to be boring. We should have a mix, ideally.
Hoshido will be a lively kingdom full of life and energy. Nohr will be a strict kingdom, will tough defenses. Both kingdoms are full of pride and tricky fighters. More information will follow in the OOC but for the most part, I won't be fleshing that out too much if I can help it. So feel free to improvise if you'd like.
Characters:
Sibling 1 From Hoshido - An energetic, happy soul who hates conflict.
Sibling 2 From Hoshido - A stubborn, passionate soul who isn't afraid to speak up.
Sibling 3 From Nohr - A reserved, intelligent soul who likes to think before speaking.
Sibling 4 From Nohr - A gentle, charming soul who seems capable of accomplishing anything.
The gender and ages are up to you, as well as their talent. Are they good with a sword, a bow, a spell book, shuriken, staff, etc? We won't be doing stats or anything but it will be good to have a balance in terms of their capabilities. Right now I probably won't hand out an application, I'm just seeing if I have some people interested. I won't need all four spots to be filled for us to start but I will want at least two people (so a 1x1x1 of sorts). The main reason I have for outlining the general characters above is to ensure we don't have mismatched people or a heavy hand of the same type of character. I'm tired of the loner types or the sarcastic types personally.
So if you're interested in one or two characters, that's great. Let me know by posting though, I can't read minds, let alone any over the internet! By the way, I am looking for people who can post 1-3 times a week. Since this could be a small roleplay, I want things to move a little quicker than just 1-2 posts a month. So the less people we have to wait on, the better I think things should move.
